ახალი ქართული ქვიარ ტერმინები რომლის გამოყენებაც შეგიძლიათ (lesbian & gay). ცნობისთვის: ტერმინები მიღებულია წარმართული კოლხური რწმენის გათვალისწინებით სადაც ბუნებას დიდი როლი ეკავა და მატრიარქატი დომინანტობდა. (English translation included in full post).

ქართული ვერსია:

1. მზეთწადილი ან მზეთაწადილი (ინგლისურად: lesbian)

- მზეთ(ა)წადილი/მზეთ(ა)წადილები: სექსუალური ან/და რომანტიკული მოწონება იგივე სქესისა და გენდერული იდენტობის გამომხატველი ადამიანებისადმი. ამ შემთხვევაში მდედრობითი სქესისა ან/და გენდერის სპექტრი, ასევე სხვა გენდერული/ინტერსქეს უმცირესობები.

New Georgian (Kartuli) queer terms you can use (lesbian & gay). For reference: The terms are derived from pagan-spiritual Colchi beliefs, where nature played a major role and matriarchy was dominant.

1. Mzettsadili or Mzetatsadili (mzeht - ts'ah - dee - lee / mzeh - tah - ts'ah - dee - lee)

- Mzet(a)ts'adili/Mzet(a)ts'adilebi (Sunlover/Sunlovers): Sexual and/or romantic attraction to people of the same sex and gender identity. In this case female sex and/or gender spectrum, as well as other gender/intersex minorities.

They represent:

1. Someone who is a woman and/or gender identity that fits within female/woman gender norms/spectrum. In other words: Gender-conforming woman. Cis & trans women.

2. An intersex, non-binary, or other gender-minority who does not fit within female/woman gender norms. In other words: Gender non-conforming. Other non-cis.

They do not represent:

1. A man and/or gender-conforming cis male person.

Additional information:

The attraction can be sexual as well as romantic. There is no strict rule about how a Mzet(a)ts'adili can be attracted to a woman and/or a non cis person. (See: Attraction towards women and non-binary identities).

- Mtvaretts'adili/Mtvaretts'adilebi (Moonlover/Moonlovers): Sexual and/or romantic attraction to people of the same sex and gender identity. In this case male sex and/or gender spectrum, as well as other gender/intersex minorities.

They represent:

1. Someone who is a man and/or gender identity that fits within male/man gender norms/spectrum. In other words: Gender confirming man. Cis and trans men.

2. An intersex, non-binary, or other gender minority who does not strictly fit within male/man gender norms. In other words: Gender non-conforming. Other non-cis.

They do not represent:

1. A woman and/or gender confirming cis female person.

Additional information:

Europeans coming to Georgia and making "jokes" about Georgian women's ethnic name (Nazi, pronounced like nah - zee, z in zebra) will never be funny. especially now that our ethnic names are disappearing. our ethnic names are constantly mocked, called old-fashioned, ancient and other nasty things. you're just making people more insecure about their ethnic names. Nazi means "gentle" and it's a very pretty name but our people are starting to hate it (mainly the new generation) because European names are considered "prettier, modern, unique and better" unlike Georgian names that are considered "primitive and ugly hag names." the amount of times people get told that their parents hate them for naming them ethnic names and they'd kill themselves if they had ethnic names is very saddening and heartbreaking. I chose ethnic name for myself and people don't even know that it's a Georgian name because our ethnic names are literally disappearing.

may I add that our ethnic names are considered prettier if Europeans use them? the amount of times we've been told that our ethnic names are hard to pronounce, if our language and script are real, "how do you read them and pronounce them?" is upsetting. there are Europeans who go to reddit and other social media and ask us to give them ethnic Georgian names (or choose Georgian ethnic names for their children), and suddenly our ethnic names look and sound good on them. but if Georgians have those names we need to "kill ourselves" because it means our parents "hated us." @baghre was literally told that her ethnic name is "impossible to pronounce" and it's "weird" written in "unreadable language" but the same person then decided to use the name for themself and they blocked Baghre saying "your name doesn't belong to you. you're radical like far right conservatives. culture is meant to be shared"

the ACTUAL Colchis

I'm convinced that people don't actually care about Medea or Colchis. we're just "Greek mythological people" who never faced any Greek colonization and cultural theft. do Medea "lovers" even know that Colchis are real and their favorite "Greek mythical character" was our deity who wasn't evil until Greeks decided to steal gold from Colchis (which was important to us), and they had to turn Medea into evil "character". Argonauts mythology is there to hide the fact that Greeks colonized us and stole gold from us, they tell a story in a nice way where Colchis are the ones who are evil (sounds familiar? yeah it's European colonization for you). I cannot believe so many people do not know about this. we learned it in schools and there is an awful historical fact behind the argonauts myth everyone chooses to ignore willingly because Greeks "civilized savage Colchis" or smth.

also, I hate how Medea is constantly whitewashed and Greekified. she's portrayed as some evil "character" and people are forgetting that her people actually existed, had their own ethnic features and ethnic clothes. even my people are convinced that it's just a mythology that connects us to Greece. they get happy when Medea is seen as a Greekified woman in Greek attire (bcz it's somehow "civilized"), the cultural erasure and colonization is THIS bad. none of you people actually care about Medea or Colchis. we're just some fairytale people to you who you can turn into aesthetics. it's almost like you've never learned history and/or cultures.

I'm Colchi from Samegrelo (Mingrelia-Margali), I speak the Margaluri language, not the "Colchian" language. I have dark brown curly hair, light brown "olive" skin, and many of my online friends told me that I'm a typical West Asian person instead of some Greek looking mythical one. I'm proud of my culture and I hate how it constantly gets Greekified from everyone including my people. colonization is AWFUL and if these people have never learned history they need to say so. if you can't respect Medea and Colchis origins then keep us out of your mouth. why is our ONLY rep some villainized Colchi deity. I'll never forgive any of you for treating us like uncultured savage fantasy people. LEARN HISTORY but not from a European perspective cuz they LOOOVE making themselves look good. golden fleece is Colchis gold jewelry, gold treasures, gold culture. it doesn't belong to everyone. it belongs to us, Colchis, Georgians. I'll never forgive Percy Jackson for treating us like sh*t. our culture isn't your "Greek mythical" aesthetic.
