Herb Chicken (cha kreung sak mwoan)
This is my first post! I hope this recipe is easily understandable!
Herb chicken is a very flavorful dish that you can fry and eat with rice! Yumyumyum!
Prepare the lemongrass by washing it first and then slicing it thinly until you get to the leaf part (just throw the rest of it away). Then grind it with the other ingredients.
After you pound the ingredients to a fine, juicymushy texture, or "mott" as you would say in Cambodian, cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces as shown in the picture :)
Now add some oil into a pan, and the mixture of herbs. Stir it for about 3 minutes, then add in the chicken. Season it with sugar, salt, and fish sauce (a few dashes of each.. it depends on your taste). Also add in a bunch of those sweet basil leaves (pick them off the stem first) for the extra kick of flavor :3
And voila, your herb chicken is done! Don't forget to prepare some white or brown rice to eat it with ^^ You can reply with a photo if you make it! I hope it turns out well for you :)
