Halloween/X-Mas town Lio!
Ch. 13* â*~~~*â
Location: Unknown
The group landed in what could only be described as a floating castle in a sea of stars, yet very few were within the sky, it seemed that all of them were in the âwaterâ below at their feet. The large female gently lowered everyone carefully to the ground, a bright smile to greet them. Everyone watched cautiously as it sat down before Xion and Roxas. Axel moved before the two only for the other to smile brighter as it reached forward seeming to be uncaring of the red head before them, if anything it seemed more excited. Everyone moved to draw their weapons only to halt as they heard Lio laughing from Terraâs arms.
The Luminary seeming rather excited to see the large woman currently looming over them, as she gave a laugh, âThey donât recognize you in that form, Olix.âÂ
âOlix?â The trio from her days past called as she smiled brightly, wrapping gentle hands around them in a hug, seeing that she was too large now to properly embrace them.
âWhere are we?â Ventus asked, looking to the large woman sitting before them who was fondly looking around to the group below her.
âStella Umbra.â Lio replied, her gaze moving back to Olix as she released the three.
âHave you never been here?â Donald asked.
âTypically Luminary are the only ones allowed here, but Olix invited everyone. I believe you all are the first guests, ever.â Lio replied, as she motioned for Terra to place her down. The man seemed hesitant only to be reassured as she held tightly to his arm, as she stood beside him. âOne of the safest places from Kingdom Hearts and the battle.â
Axel chuckled looking up to the giant star filled woman sitting before them, âYou really do like your make-overs.âÂ
âThis is actually her true form,âLio explained for the other, in this form Olix had no reason to ever speak, only gaining that when she created her other form. âWhen I was put to sleep, I only had a short time to do anything, I never expected for her to actually become such a huge part in all this.â
âItâs good to see youâre okay.â Sora smiled, as Olix placed a large finger on his head.
âXemnas did mention she was fine.â Mickey replied.
Olix shook her head at this, small flakes of glitter and light coming off of her from the movement.
âWhat do you mean, he didnât mean you?â Lio called, as everyone watched in confusion.
âBut, but we saw,â Xion whispered as Olix wrapped a hand around her, caressing Xionâs cheek with the tip of her thumb.
Olix turned waving her hand, whisking an orb out the air pushing it towards the lake as she showed a large illusion of the battle scene, her movement as she placed an orb within Kairiâs hood.
âWhat happened?â Riku asked looking up to the woman.
Olix continued her illusion, showing Xehanort leaving Kairi with Xemnas. The man turned to the red head, as his voice echoed softly around them.
âWill you continue this charade, Illusionist Aria?â
Kairi glared towards the man with violet eyes.
âIâve known that gaze, youâve had it since weâve first met.âÂ
The illusion of Kairi disappeared as Olix stood before the man, âYou donât have to go through with this, Xemnas.â
Xemnas glanced up, before turning back towards the woman, âThe others have already fallen, we have come to a climax it is only right.âÂ
Olix shook her head, âThey others have returned to the correct self, and you, you left the others alive, if you didnât have a heart you wouldnât have done even that. You wouldnât have let them go.â
Xemnas chuckled, glancing up toward the endless sky around them, âIs that so?â
âYou knew that Inzeo and Vex, Evan would find a way to bring back the others, so you let them go, is that right?â
Xemnas turned towards her, âSaix, no Isa should have returned as well.â
âWhy would you go through all this?â
âI could ask you the same thing,â He stated, only to watch her finally understand the message he was trying to give. âYou are much like the Luminary, would you be satisfied with this end?â
âMy time was always borrowed, â Olix replied. âWhy, Xemnas?â
Xemnas turned to the woman, âI would assume the same reason that you are before me. We both wanted a different end.â
Olix gave a nod of understanding.
âThe girl, Kairi, is safe?â He inquired.
âYes,â Olix confirmed with a hand to her heart.
âAnd yourself?â
Olix shook her head, âPlease let them know.â
Xemnas looked as if he wanted to say more, only to stop himself, âAs you wish.â
The group stared in shock as the illusion disappeared.
Axel grunted in disbelief as he shrugged his shoulders, âGuess he did care.âÂ
âHow did you do this, Xemnas went after you too.â Roxas called to the woman towering over everyone.
Olix showed the moment right before Xemnas had grabbed Kairi, of the way Olix had seen it. The moment she placed the orb in Kairiâs hood the girl had vanished and was replaced with Olix herself in the form of the youth. Showing, the Olix that Xemnas had stabbed was a false created by a second orb, destroying the illusion set in the shape of the woman when the source was shattered. The parting message was actually cut short due to orbs shattering.
âDonât give up...SoraâŚIâll watch over her.â
âBut how did this work, why did you go through everything when you could have escaped too?â Riku asked to the larger woman.
âOlixâs illusions.â Lio translated for the other. âThey are just that figments of light, the donât have a solid form, she needed a body to replace the missing one.â
âBut you could have teleported later.â
Lio explained for the other, âI could have, but then Xehonart would have went after one of you. I have always been on borrowed time.âÂ
Sora turned toward Olix with large tear filled eyes, âBut whereâs Kairi?â
Olix laid a clench hand down, as she released her fingers as Kairi stood there. Leaping from Olixâs hand as she embraced Sora.
âYou hid her here?â Lio gasped.
âHow, this place is so far away.â
âStella Umbra is everywhere and nowhere at once.â Lio explained motioning towards the ocean of stars at their feet, âShould a world be created a star takes its place in the body of water, there is always a connection. Luminaryâs use it in order to check in on worlds and travel to and from those worlds via portals.â
âLike corridors of darkness?â Roxas inquired.
âSimilar but only a Luminary can move through or gain access to them.â
âBut how did Xehonart summon Kingdom Hearts if Olix hid Kairi away?â Riku inquired, looking to Lio than back to Olix still kneeling before them.
âRight this is super confusing.â Axel huffed.
Lioâs pink eyes widened as she listened to whatever silent conversation she and Olix were having, âBecause of me.â
âWhat?â Terra asked, turning to the woman still holding to his arm to keep herself steady. âWhat do you mean, Lio?â
Lio looked down trying to process the information before turning back to the others, âOlix was created by some of my light, a Luminaryâs light and hope. Eris said it herself a Luminary can be a key to Kingdom Hearts opening, if that Luminary wasnât in control of themselves.â She glanced down to her hand not holding onto Terra noticing the slight glow, something surging through her. âI was so angry and scared when Olix was formed, everything was automatically done, she was only a spark when I was asleep, a small flicker of light.â
Kairi looked toward Olix who was waiting patiently a smile on the large star filled womanâs lips, âOlix told us that if a Luminary wasnât strong enough, someone could use them to create Kingdom Hearts, but that you were more than strong enough to stop that.â
âYet with Xehonart shattering Olix, he unleashed that magic that Lio, a Luminary, had present, the light used to create Olix being just enough to open Kingdom Hearts.â Aqua followed up, getting a confirmation from Lio in a nod.
âBut you said you only felt a tether snap, right?â Ventus asked as Lio nodded looking to Olix for an answer.
âWhen she hid Kairi she severed the connection and then hid herself.â
âWouldnât you be able to see it no matter what?â
âI donât see tethers all the time, itâs more of a safety line, I have to physically active their appearance. Yet with going from 3 to 10 plus adding the splints of Xehonart it was difficult. I am still not use to everyoneâs to be able to pin who is who, thereâs so many overlapping and chasing each other.â
âThis is confusing.â Sora groaned scratching his head, âOlix is right here so itâs all right now, right?â
âNo.â Lio replied, âThe Olix we know now is a figment, a very small light, not only did she take some of the rebound of the Spell of Awakening and the Rewind Spell, her light was shattered again and again. She very weak right now.â
Olix reached out setting her hand palm faced up towards the Luminary, who immediately reached out placing a hand to Olixâs. A soft smile on the Luminaryâs face as they noticed tears streaming from underneath Olixâs mask, as she removed her hand from Lio, before reaching out picking up Kairi and Sora,Â
âNow wait!â Lio suddenly barked, frightening everyone. âWhere are you going now? Iâm sure we can figure something out.â
âWhatâs wrong?â Aqua asked, as Lio released Terraâs arm, unsteady heels trying to hold the woman upright as her feet left the ground floating up to Olixâs face with great difficulty.
âIâm sure that Inzeo and the other can help,â Lio argued before Olixâs face. âWe can do something, please...â
âLio, what's wrong?âKairi asked from Olix's hand to the woman floating well above them.
âItâs taking everything you have right now to keep it together isnât it?â Lio looked ready to cry in frustration as she turned to the others, âOlix was created to help me watch over everything until I could come back, but now that Iâm back sheâsâŚâ Lio left it open, afraid to speak it into existence, as she heard the shock from the others. She had never expected for Olix to get a name, much less touch so many peopleâs hearts.Â
Olix was created simply as a vessel, much like The Gaurdian Terra had inhabited, yet made from a piece of a Luminaryâs light and hope. Olix may not have been related to her in blood but they shared a connection that made them sisters in a sense.
âYou canât leave!â Lio called, a soft flicker of white light moving off the Luminary. âYou, you promised Namine, what do I tell her now! I just got back and I havenât even got to know you.â Lio cried, she knew it was selfish but none of this was fair, why did Olix have to pay for her original selfish choice to create her. âThatâs not fair!âÂ
Olix shook her head, giving the silent conversation to the Luminary via the bond they had shared, only for Lio to gasp a hand to her mouth as she stared at the other in the mask. Â
The Luminaryâs glow stopped as she rested a hand to Olixâs large cheek as leaned forward, resting her cheek against the large one before her, âThis doesnât have to be the end, Olix please.â
Olix placed a gentle hand to Lioâs back, giving a soft moment as she gave a silent sob, before wrapping her hand around Lio as she lowered the other to the ground beside Terra.
Lio knew that Olix was right, the Keyblade Wielders here needed their Luminary, they had all gone so long without one. Olix wanted to do this and if there was one thing Lio knew was she could relay on was her sister if she wasnât there.
âOlix,â Xion called as the giant woman turned towards her, âAre you really leaving?â
Olix waved a hand in a circle as she created a small orb, handing it to the girl. Finding a small shell within it from their days back in the organization.
âShe says sheâs been holding onto it for when you came back.â
A soft finger stroking the Xionâs cheek as Olix moved to stand back up.
âYouâll take care of them right?â Lio called only to let out a soft laugh drying her tears as she felt Terra wrap an arm around her shoulders, âWhat am I talking about, thatâs what youâve been doing this entire time. Just be safe please, I wonât stop until all of you are back.â
Olix smiled as she cupped a hand to further protect Sora and Kairi within her hand, as she flashed a bright light disappearing in a fall of stars.
âWait, where did they go?â Axel asked.
âShe wouldnât say.â
Riku chuckled, âAs long as Kairi and Sora are together, itâll be all right.â
Ventus turned to Lio, âWhat about their tethers, can you still see them?â
Lio gave a weak laugh, for whatever reason Olix was hiding them, âTheyâll be fine as long as theyâre together.â
âAre you okay?â Aqua asked as Lio managed to get her tears uncontrol, watching as the Luminary gave a nod, uncertain if she was trying to convenience them or the others.
Everyone staring at the place where Olix had disappeared with the others/
âSo any idea on how we get back?â Axel asked, flinching at the glare from Aqua, âYou've got enough energy to teleport us back, Ms. Luminary?â
Lio laughed her face still stained with tears, âYou wouldnât want me to teleport us anywhere, even if I was at full strength.â
âSo what we just hang out around here since we canât use those Luminary portals.â Axel inquired.
âThereâs another portal instead that we can take.â Lio replied allowing Terra to wipe her face dry from the few tears that managed to stay behind. âHopefully it still works.â She replied as Terra took her hand following her along with everyone else into the large ivory building, leaning more on Terra now for emotional support rather than physical.
âHopefully?â
âItâs been awhile since anyone's used it.â Lio explained moving them through the open aired hallways.
âWhat are we talking about, a few years?â Axel inquired.
Lio thought for a moment, âAbout 200.â
â200?!â
Lio laughed, walking through the sliver halls, flashes of Olixâs memories compared them to Castle Oblivion, that had been the others' adventure. Some of her own days within training flashed between. Everything seemed so untouched by time.
âIt seems this place is empty.â Terra replied as Lio opened a large door, the man rushing over to help her push.
âThanks.â Lio smiled to the man who refused to leave her side, âIt was only Master Eris and myself here. Iâm surprised that it's still in good condition without our upkeep.â
âIsnât this where Olix hid you?â Aqua inquired, as another door was pushed open, the other woman moving them through another hall, it honestly was very confusing the fact Lio knew where she was going was amazing everything seemed very much the same to herself.
âI was hidden in my room, and when I woke up I immediately followed yours and Venâs tethers to Yen Sidâs place.â Lio replied, lifting a hand as she placed it against the next door, the solid form seeming to almost peel back like a curtain at her touch. âWelcome to the Mare Stella.â
Revealed to them was a large ballroom with a huge domed glass ceiling sparking in a rainbow of colors, reflecting and bouncing off one another, small sparkles of glitter scattered throughout. Casting of white, platinum and silvers holding it up, beneath an arch of a clear crystal standing on an elevated platform that slowly spun. Much more colorful than the halls they had just been through.
âItâs beautiful.â Xion gasped, looking around, her eyes falling to a large statue on the other side of the room of a woman.
Lio stepped forward, moving to the top of the platform as she stood before the archway. Raising her hands as she summoned her staff, realizing it was shattered from before and honestly had no idea how it was still holding itself together. âI almost forgot.â
âRight in the fight, will it be all right?â Goofy asked.
âIt seems to just be the seal Master Eris placed on it, the base is still intake.â Lio replied.
âSeal?â Aqua inquired.
âYeah, in training it was easier for me to have a large conductor. So I asked Master Eris to help me create a base similar to your keyblades so as not to overload myself. Kinda of like training wheels.â Lio explained, as she held the staff in both hands horizontally to the floor.
âWill you be able to fix it?â Xion asked.
Lio instead rose the staff above her head, before cracking it over her knee in half, what appeared to be a small pink, gold and silver version of a keyblade appeared, no bigger than a normal casting wand. âIt might be better to actually remove the training wheels. Please stand back everyone.â
Everyone moved away from the platform as she swelled with magic from across the room. The platform at her feet erupted in an aura of pastel colors as the archway began to reflect almost in a bubble type of film.
âItâs set, just think of where you want to go and youâll arrive.â Lio smiled, moving over to the edge of the platform, prepared to jump down, only for Terra to appear, immediately offering his arms to her to assist her down.
âYou sure itâs safe?â Axel inquired.
âSafer than me at the moment.â Lio replied as Terra set her down. âOr anytime actually.â
âWhat about you?â Xion asked.
âMe?â
âAre you going to stay here?â Roxas followed up, as Lio blinked in confusion.
Terra removed his hands from her waist, only to wrap his arm around her, âSheâll be coming with us.â
âRight, you never got to move in.â Ventus gasped.
âAnd this place?â Riku inquired.
Lio looked around, her eyes turning to the large dome, âStella Umbra is a trove of magic, spells, history of so many worlds. Iâm sure thereâs something here that I can find to help Olix and the others.â
âWe can help!â Xion offered stepping forward.
Lio gave a giggle as she placed a hand to Xionâs head, âThank you, but for now, why donât we all take a much needed rest. Afterwards, Iâll work with the others in getting quick portals set up so that you all have easy access to come and go.â
âWill that be all right, isnât this place reserved for Luminary only?â Aqua asked.
âAs current Luminary I think Stella Umbra has been quiet for too long, it could use more visitors.â Lio smiled toward the Keyblade Master.
Seeing the others through to their homes, Lio turned back to the three that this entire journey started with. âYou all are next.â
âThat included you too.â Aqua smiled as Terra took the Luminaryâs hand.
Lio smiled as she moved through the portal arriving in the more familiar and welcoming Land of Departure. The young woman followed the trio through the castle, her hand firm on Terraâs. She had wanted for so long to be a permanent part of this, instead of just glances from the outside every so often. It was almost too surreal, what was ten years of blood, sweet tears and laughter was over.
They could relax, to take a moment to breathe.
So focused on her thoughts Lio didnât realize that they had entered a room she hadnât recalled seeing before. Waiting at the door with Terra as Aqua and Venus moved around collecting pillows and blankets, tossing them in the middle of the room.
âWhat are they doing?â
âYou said we should rest. Sounds like a good idea, and we should listen to our Luminary.â Terra explained, only to laugh at the look of confusion on her face.
âNap Party!â Ventus cheered, tossing a larger pillow down before collapsing down, only to burst out laughing as Aqua tossed another pillow on him before collapsing on the nest of pillows.
âLong overdue.â Aqua yawned giving a stretch, as Terra led Lio over.Â
The tall young man, turned falling backwards, which sent Aqua and Ventus scrambling out the way. A more than likely recurring theme considering how quickly the other two managed to get out the way.
âYou coming?â Aqua giggled to the Luminary staring in confusion at the situation before her.
Lio seemed to finally accept her fate, as she waved a hand, âI believe that itâs a great idea, but maybe without the armor.â She smiled, as she vanished everyoneâs armor, straps, and looser articles that would make getting comfortable harder. âThatâs better.â
âOne more thing to do.â Aqua replied as she glanced towards Terra who had sat up his hand held out to Lio.
The Luminary in question took his hand, letting out a rather shrill squeak as Terra yanked her off her feet, causing her to stumble forward. Managing to catch herself on his lap and chest, hearing the others laugh as Terra wrapped his arms around her before laying back.
Everyone manages to position themselves correctly to get more comfortable. Terra on his back, an arm behind his head, allowing Lio to rest against his bicep. The Luminary also on her back, head tucked into Terraâs neck. Smiling as she felt Aqua move to rest against her shoulder on her side. Ventus on the other side of Terra against the manâs rib cage.
A place to finally rest and relax, one extremely overdue.
*
Lio had always enjoyed the night sky in the Land of Departure. It was one of the places she had witnessed a Star Shower in her youth, she recalled waking up in the spare room the following morning. It was years later that she realized it was Eraqus who had put her to bed that night when she had fallen asleep on the lawn refusing to go in until she wished on every star.
Master Eraqus, they had all erected a small monument for him in the Garden, where Lio liked to believe that he had sent little Chritiy back to watch over them. The others had offered to return to Stella Umbra to assist with an honor for Master Eris as well, yet Lio had asked for a little more time.Â
Master Eraqus was a rather straightforward man, based as a man in kindness, never one to give up on anyone, allowing everyone to pick their own course of action. Treasuring his friends, and students to the very end. Even with everything that had happened there was so much respect to honor, to allow to live on and pass along.
Yet Master Eris was so different, the woman had trained her, had raised her. With such a firm hand that she hardly had any friends, but to learn that it was from a fear, a mistake she couldnât control. Lio was confused on what to do, the woman had been her guardian for years, but unlike Eraqus there was no type of familial feeling to it.Â
With such confusing emotions to Eris, she didnât want to even start thinking about Xehanort.
It was only right for a Luminary to honor all Keyblade Wielders no matter what type of life they ended up leading, but at the same timeâŚ
Not to mention she would need to find Sora and Kairi, the young girlâs body was safely with Inzeo and Evan, after having found it on Stella Umbra, where she could only assume Olix hid it for safe keeping. Namine would hopefully be able to return soon, and they were still a few of the Organization Members uncalled for. Not to mention the cryptic message Olix told her prior to leaving.
Luxu.
Was it a place, item, person?
All the worlds that she and her Keyblade Wielders looked after always seemed to have some type of perfect ending wrapped up nicely within a bow, yet she realized for the ones that protected that world it could be a little more complicated.Â
Lio sighed, normally star gazing especially on the lawns of the Land of Departure cleared her mind if just for a moment. Now it seems that they only provide more questions.
âLio.â
The woman jumped,so in thought she wasnât prepared to suddenly be called out.
âRoom for one more?â
Lio turned as she smiled to the person, âFor you, always?â
Terra moved to stand beside her, watching as her gaze turned back to the sky. âHow are you holding up?â He had realized that she might have taken the largest change, while the others could more than likely pick up from where they left off when this all started, Lio had lost just a bit more, and was not getting use to new powers, a new home, new charges. In what would only be less than a week to them was years to everyone else.
Lio inhaled deeply closing her eyes, before letting out a sigh as she opened them their focus on the starry sky above, âIâm, Iâm good, just in shock that it feels like itâs over but at the same time just starting.â
Terra nodded, his gaze never strayed far from the woman, who seemed so focused on the sky. He realized he preferred to see them reflected in her eyes and the ones that always greeted him on her cheeks.
He gave a chuckle as it all suddenly became so clear, âI did a lot of foolish things, but thereâs one thing I learned throughout this, and I was the most foolish not to realize it sooner.â
Lio didnât turn to him, but that familiar lipstick outlined a smile as she gave soft hum, show she had indeed been listening to him. She had changed so much, but it was more like she had changed into a more comfortable version of herself.
âWhat would that be?â
âJust how much,â Terra wanted to make sure that there was no misunderstanding, âI love you.â
This caused those pink eyes to widen in shock, as Lio turned from the sky to him with a soft, âTerra?â fell from those lips. Never breaking contact with those those deep blue eyes before her, she could only watch as a strong hand cupped her face.
âMore than all the stars in the sky.â
Lio realized at that moment, any questions she need to solve would be done so, because of the people she had met through all this, the ones she had known and because of the person before her.
She hadnât realized she had been quiet for so long and she couldnât find the right words, but at this time it seemed that actions spoke so much louder than words. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders as she pulled him close, her lips against his. She didnât even have to think about it, just every movement was automatic. That when the words âI love you tooâ fell from her lips she knew that it was the one thing she never would question.
A muffled giggle against lips as she felt herself being lifted off the ground in a spin.
She often heard of others on different stars having a happy ending, she found she could be happy with this beginning.

Ch. 12* â*~~~*â
Location: Kingdom Hearts
The woman landed along with the others. Being here she found Kingdom Heartsâs magic much heavier and while she felt it the same as back in the Graveyard it didnât feel as if it was suffocating her, yet she knew if she wasnât on guard it could easily overwhelm her again and due to the strain of being subjected to the power before, she knew she couldnât win against it should she be drowned in its power again.
She wasnât surprised to find that Kairi was missing. She knew that the Kairi earlier was not the real one, but just a memory from the hearts of Sora, still she could only imagine at how much Soraâs heart must have yearned to suddenly have her back then to have her torn away again, she suffered through something like that too many times. Yet what was confusing was seeing Donald and Goofy standing beside Sora instead, she last recalled them with YenSid.
âAre you three all right?â Lio asked casting a spell to heal the three before her wounds, as the others landed behind her. The woman well aware of Xehonart on the other side of the battle field.
Sora gasped as he turned to the others, âLio, but how did youâŚâ
Riku stepped beside the Luminary, âKingdom Hearts is closing on the other side, but we followed our hearts to you.â
Sora beamed brightly at this.
Lio gave a laugh, this little Starshine was a bright one that was for certain. The smile leaving her face as she turned, looking towards Terra, actually seeming to be looking through him. Watching him as he turned to Xehanort who until this moment allowed them a small reunion, either biding his time or realizing that he couldnât take them all again.
âMaster Xehanort.â Terra called, as he began walking toward the man, only to be stopped by Aquaâs hand on his wrist. The young man turned towards her with reassuring eyes as she released his wrist hesitatingly.Â
Aqua turned as she felt a hand grasp her own, she hadnât heard Lio approach her, much less prepared for the other to take her hand. Looking towards the Luminary, the Master found Lioâs gaze focused on Terra and Xehanort, yet she gave the other womanâs hand a reassuring squeeze. For just a moment Aqua saw a glimpse of what she could only describe as a ribbon, the strange thing was Terra had two of them and an old more golden one was leading towards Xehanort. Knowing immediately that this was the Luminary giving her the view of the tethers the other saw, for just a moment.
âThereâs more to light than meets the eye.â Terra stated, âAs I told you.â
This seemed to catch Xehanort off guard, âYou sly fox.â
Everyone watched as Terra glew a gold color,a gasp escaping Aqua and Ventus as Master Eraqus appeared before Terra on the once battlefield.
âNow hand over the X-Blade, Xehanort.â
âIt is too late!â Xehanort hissed back.
âFor us perhaps.â Eraqus replied as he turned toward the others, âWouldn't you agree?â
âYes, I do.âÂ
Lio froze, that voice that had been calling out to her, her body reacted automatically on its own as she stood back straight as she released Aquaâs hand, gaze forward, head level, even as everyone turned towards the person who was standing her, she wasnât certain of how long or when they appeared. Only daring to move her eyes as the person moved around to standing within her field of vision, finding Eris. Her mask gone, bronze eyes focused on the two men before her.
The voice that had been guiding her was her old teacher, now standing beside her in the same state as Eraqus. Lio should have known that voice, but Eris was gone, she saw to that, she had been the one that did it...Yet then again the way both Olix and Xehonart refered to the other Luminary. It also made sense as Kingdom Hearts was no longer overwhelming her now that she realized two Luminary were there.
âNo, I can do this.â Xehanort growled, raising the X-Blade.
Eris moved between Xehanort and the Guardianâs of Light, almost in a protective manner, wanting this conversation to be between the three of them. A conversation that more than likely should have taken decades ago.
âAll these years, Eraqus has never given up on you. While I abandoned you when you needed me most.â She responded her bare gaze turning to Lio, seeming to be having two conversations at once before turning back to the two men. speaking in a hush tone Lio hadnât heard in years. âPlease end this Xehanort.âÂ
Lio watched in confusion as Eris moved over to her, giving a nod to Aqua and Ventus, before moving behind Lio, placing a hand to her back. A motion that the woman had done to Lio her entire life, yet this wasnât a push of guidance, but more of a move forward, as if Eris was pushing Lio forward into her role as a Luminary.Â
âI leave this to you, a true Luminary.âÂ
Lio spared a glance to Eris as the woman left her beside Terra, to stand beside Eraqus. It had been years since she had last seen her Masterâs face, and to see it now so bare was slightly unnerving. But she had seen something in those eyes, a belief in the younger woman.
âXehanort.â The younger Luminary had so much that she wished to scream at him about, that she wanted him to pay for, to suffer for everything he had done to not only her Keyblade Wielders but to her friends and loved one. Her hands clenched tightly to her sides before she realized the tether that she had never been able to see until now, covered in darkness, small hints of color starting to shine through, even just the tiniest hint.
A deep breath as she managed to soften the anger just a little, âXehanort, no one person should travel alone,so blinded by darkness you couldnât see the ones that love and care for you. You have affect the lives of so many people, destroyed bonds, and, and...â Lio choked up, not of rage but of pity for this man , this man, this sad man before her. âYou are not one of My Wielders, but you have taken one of them from not only me but from everyone else they have loved and I can not forgive you for that, nor can or will I ever forgive you for what you have put My Wielders, and all the others hearts you have tainted on this foolish quest, through time and again. I will never forgive all the evil you have caused.â
The Luminaryâs anger left the field speechless, as she continued to glare at the man. To those that had known her closest found that the normal peaceful person before them would do whatever it took to protect what was right. Even if it meant that she herself would be the one to become violent.Â
Luminaryâs were created to protect their Keyblade Wielders, the one before them made it clear that she would do that, even if it meant destroying another Wielder.
âButâŚâ Lio called, before any one could respond, âIt is not my place to forgive you. Your Luminary it Master Eris, she is the one that will suffer your burden. Only out of respect for Master Eraqus and Master Eros, I will offer this once:â Lio growled, everyone watching as magic begun to swirl around the woman, a flick of a glowing white light flashing through her eyes, giving Xehonart his option.
â Allow new stars to brighten the night skies, Xehonart.â
Lio only managed to unclench her fist and only noticed that she was shaking when she felt Terra take her hand in his own. The motion calming her heart immediately from the mix of emotions within her at the moment between the three Masters before her. The magic dying down almost immediately.Â
The rest of the once battle field watching and waiting for Xehanortâs reply.
Eraqus moved forward, taking the hilt of the X-Blade, placing a hand to Xehanortâs shoulder, âEnough.Checkmate.â
Everyone watched with bated breath as Xehanort approached Sora, muscles tense ready to spring into action at a moments notice, only to relax as Xehanort presented the youth with the X-Blade and a âVery well done.â
Eraqus turned towards the four students this all started with as Eris left his side allowing him a final moment, that none of them ever got to have.
âForgive your fool teacher.â Eraqus called, âTerra, Aqua, Ven, Lio.â
Without a second thought, the four ran to him, Aqua resting to his left, while Ventus clung to the man's waist tightly to the right, Lio standing above the blonde, her head resting on his shoulder. Only to hear Terra let out a soft sorrow filled âMasterâ as he embraced his Master.
âVen, I put you through such a harrowing experience.â Eraqus addressed the youngest, only to feel the youth tighten his hold with a whimper, as he turned to Aqua to his left, âAnd Aqua I left you with such a heavy burden.â He called to the young Master, as she gave a soft cry.
Looking to the Luminary over Ventus, âLio, I watched you suffer alone, for so long.â He whispered to the woman as she let out a sob into his shoulder. The man turning to the youth before him, âTerra, look after them for me.â He requested,as Terra stepped back, âPlease.â
Terra gave a nod as Eraqus released them, watching as the old Master turned his head. Following his gaze to Eris who was staring at Lioâs back. seeming to be thinking something over again and again.
âLio.â
The young Luminary dried her still leaking eyes, turning at her name being called, âYes, Master Eris?â
Eris shook her head, a soft smile on her face, âI was so worried that you would make the same mistakes I had made, I never showed you the love that you truly needed, I was so blinded to see that you had grown to be more of a Luminary than I could have ever wished to be. I wanted to protect you from so much, but instead only forced you away. You have every right to be angry with me, but I can only ask that you can find it in your heart to forgive this old woman for all I have done to youâŚâ Before Eris could finish she found Lio had rushed across the space, hugging her tightly with a sob.
âMaster Eris.â Lio cried softly, only to let out another sob as she felt Erisâs arms squeeze her tightly, before pulling her away.
âIâm so proud of you.â Eris replied, drying Lioâs tears, âYou will be the brightest Luminary that has ever come to be.â She smiled turning toward Eraqus and the others. âDo look after one another.â
Lio nodded as Eris released her to walk over to them. The woman letting out a hiccup as she felt almost simultaneously, Terra wrapped an arm around her shoulders, as Aqua and Ventus took her hands. Only to watch as Xehanort stumbled slightly, she was finally able to see the manâs tether while it wasnât completely clear of darkness; she noticed that it appeared almost silver like, a pretty nice match to Eraqusâs golden one, and her own Masterâs bronze one. Yet just like the other Masters, Xehanortâs tether was becoming more transparent.Â
Lio knew immediately that Xehonart wasnât long for this world.
Everyone watched as Eraqus rushed over to Xehanort at the stumble, as he wrapped one of Xehanortâs arms over his shoulder. They both turned to find Eris, on the other side of Xehanort, mimicking Eraqusâs motion.
âShall we?â Eris smiled as they all flashed in a bright light, appearing as they would have within their youth.
âReady, my friend.â Eraqus called.
Xehanort chuckled, as he allowed them both to stead him, âYesâŚâ
With that the trio disappeared into the sky.
Lio glanced up before turning back to Mickey, Kingdom Hearts needed to be closed, without Erisâs spirit there to absorb some of the light it was finally noticeable how difficult it was to stand under the pure weight. The magic was still loose, and moving about, it would only take a little more time before she was overpowered again and this time she knew she was too exhausted to keep it in check.
Mickey stepped forward, âSora we should close it.â
Sora gave a nod, as he lifted the X-Blade, âEverybody help me out.â
Everyone nodded as they surrounded him, as he rose the keyblade. Locking Kingdom Hearts for good, as they appeared back in the Graveyard. Everyone turned as they heard a gasp finding Lio collapse into Terraâs arms.
âSorry, all of Kingdom Hearts leaving suddenly was a bit much.â She laughed, wanting to assure them was all right, just drained.Â
âLooks like our ride home is out.â Axel cracked as Terra picked up a protesting Luminary.
Riku turned as he stepped towards Sora, âWeâll find Kairi. Letâs head back to Master Yen Sid, we can figure it out.â
Sora looked up to the sky where Kingdom Hearts once sat, âNo, I know what to do. My whole journey began the day I lost her.â He replied, turning to the others.
Everyone expected the worst ,wanting to argue, only to instead gasp as a large female form colored just before the sun settle into night sky appeared behind Sora. Before anyone could react or draw their Keyblades, the creature moved forward picking them and disappearing.
Ch. 11* â*~~~*â
Location: Keyblade Graveyard
âPain is being human Xemnas.â
âReally? It must take...incredible strength.â
To even hear this conversation over the rushing in her ears and the sound of her heartbeat was surprising. Lio was so focused on making certain that everyone landed safely, despite dropping everyone a good foot or two. She had gather the others by their links alone when by passing their battlefields along the way, landing where she had felt pieces of Xehanort disappearing. being parts of a Keyblade Weilder she could feel the small flickers of light within them disappearing, same as the rest of the Organization. If she was correct the younger time traveling one and the other, Ansem, were already dealt with, meaning that Xemnas disappearing was the final in the front lines for Xehanortâs army and judging by the fading feeling of his heart he too wasnât long. All that was left was the old Master pawns in this fight.
A quick glance around the field, everyone was there and it didnât seem that the sudden teleport nor drop seemed to throw them off too much. Wait, there were two missing, but she only felt one link snap.
âWa, waitâ She found it so hard to breathe her body felt like it was being ripped apart as she stumbled forward, nearly collapsing on top of Ventus, if Aqua and Terra hadnât immediately reached out and helped her back to her feet.
âAre you all right?â Terra asked as she regained her footing.
Lio nodded, was no else feeling this suffocating magic?
âLuminary,â Xemnas called as those familiar pink eyes turned to him as his body begun to fade. âOlix wanted me to alert you that she is safe.â
Before Lio could respond the man was gone. Her gaze, along with everyone else on the battlefield turned to Xehanort high above them, twelve keys circling around him. The manâs voice was being drowned out by the rushing in her ears time and time again, only catching parts of his monologue, when she saw it. Something made her blood run cold.
 Kairiâs body.
âNoâŚâ
She watched in horror as the girl was stuck down. Through silence she watched the others attack Xehanort, being fended off easily, by the Master. The only sound that pierced through the silence was a scream of pain and anger, it was only when she found herself above Xehanortâs shield her leg raised in a high arch, angry tears in her eyes did she realized the scream was from herself as she swung her heel down, shattering the shield. Quickly pivoting as she pulled back her right arm, swinging forward without her gauntlet protection, punching through the second barrier put up to protect himself, which seemed to catch the man off guard as Lio grabbed the collar of his shirt pulling him forward.
âYouâve gone too far!â Lio hissed as she pulled him from his shield tossing him up.The Luminary flying after him refusing to give up her assault on the man.
The quick flow of strikes seemed to catch Xehanort off guard, use to go against a fighter who used a Keyblade and not Lioâs assault of punches and kicks. Even if he got to far away, sheâd summon that annoying staff, transforming it to fulfill whatever need to get him back in range for her close combat.
âEnough!â Xehanort barked, as he swung pushing the woman away from himself, who jumped back her guard, refusing to drop as she glared at the man. âThis is futile, Young Luminary. Even you are aware, that a Luminary canât not use their weapon against a Keyblade Wielder.â
Lio huffed, he was right, Luminaryâs were meant to protect their Keyblade Wielders, no matter the path one would take, âThat may be true, but youâre not one of mine and you lost that title when you started this!âÂ
This time Xehanort was prepared for the Luminary to rush him, as he fainted with his blade, only to create a barrier. Lio hardly having enough time to stop herself landing against the barrier in a crouch, which triggered off an explosion sending the Luminary flying. This giving the old Master the time he needed.
âKingdom Heart! I call upon your true form. Open now and show me the World to come!â He called as the X-Blade summoned darkness within the sky, illuminated only by the glowing heart that had taken the sunâs place.
âStop!â Lio screamed her hand going to the X-Bladeâs hilt. A surge of magic exploding around the two who refused to release the weapon.
âFoolish girl, youâre too late to stop it. Look at yourself.â Xehanort chuckled watching the woman struggle to keep herself together, cracks appearing in her skin, spread completely up her visible arm, and now creeping up her face, giving the same glow as Kingdom Hearts in the sky above them. âEris was too foolish to have never told you that a Luminary is connected to Kingdom Hearts, youâre being torn apart from the inside out from the strength. She was always so busy trying to protect you from the outside world, from me. Going so far as to even put you in hiding and for what? To watch you fail, again.â
The brought Lio out of her rage,âWhat?â That split moment had the woman engulfed in light as she let out a gasp.
âEraqus filled your head with such silly ideas, you alone should know that this is the only way.â
Lio swallowed a scream as wave after wave of magic flashed through her body further tearing it apart. âDonât...donât you dare speak ill of them!âÂ
âA foolish teacher and a foolish student.â
Another wave of magic flashed through the woman, as she struggled to hold onto the X-Blade before her. She didnât want to believe Xehonart, but still she never figured how she ended up back in Stella Umbra.
âI suggest,â Xehanort chuckled, noting his opening, drawing back the X-Blade, before swinging down, âYou take a seat.â
âLio!â A cry came from the field below as Lio hurled to the ground.
Aqua quickly casted a spell of ice, sending Ventus up toward the Luminaryâs unconscious body hurling towards the ground, as Terra racing underneath the two. Ventus managed to grabbed a hold of Lio, the spell slowing their fall enough for Terra to leap grabbing the both of them before they could hit the ground.
âLio.â Terra called, setting Ventus down as the other rushed over to them. âLio, please wake up.â
The Luminaryâs skin cracked like a broken vase, the light of Kingdom Hearts spelling through the cracks, as hollowed pink eyes stared at Kingdom Hearts withing the sky. Her body gave a twitch as she gave a labored inhale, rapidly blinking her eyes as she panted heavily her body coming out of shock. Moving to stand as she collapsed surging with magic again and again, as she tried to get up and ignore the sensation of herself being torn apart but also keep herself together at the same time as she pulsed again and again.
âWe have to go.â Lio whispered, her body flashing a bright light as more cracks appeared on her arms as she flinched at the magic running through her. âWe have to go after him.â
âYouâre not in any shape to do anything.â Axel stated watching Lio cling to Terra as she tried to get her feet underneath her.
Lio flinched closing her eyes tightly as she felt another surge of magic go through her, only relaxing and opening her eyes when she felt Terra squeeze her close to his chest, his heart racing against her open palm on his chest, a placid look to his face trying to hide his fear at her current condition. She knew the situation was bad, already having lost Kairi and Olix. Her eyes scanning the group trying to come up with some kind of plan to either get them out of there.
No! This was the final fight there was no backing down now. They had to make a stand here and now, Xehanort would not win.
Thatâs when she realized that the light surging through her was the same magic that her Keyblade Wielders used. Digging her heels into the ground, she stepped back from Terra, giving him a reassuring smile as she swayed a little. Placing a hand to her heart as she gathered the tether around her, ignoring the jolts of magic rushing through her.Â
âJust because Iâm down doesnât mean you are.â She called, flashing a brighter light. Watching as everyone around her began to glow, her eyes locking with Soraâs, âHe wonât win.â
Lio watched as everyone lined up before her, raising their Keyblades toward the heart within the sky. Watching as their combined powers pierced through Xehanort,as he was pressed through the sky. The battle field quickly becoming engulfed in darkness, as she quickly summoned her staff, collecting everyone as the field suddenly filled with light.
âEveryone all right!â Lio called, the ground was no longer underneath their feet, and she found herself in the middle of two tiers of their group. Their new battlefield was a sea of stars and despite the fact that she knew it was silent all around her she still heard the rush of what she could only believe to be Kingdom Hearts in the back of her mind. A quick check of tethers and she found all accounted for but one was flickering and bouncing around within the others. Thatâs when she noticed the missing brunette.
The woman shocked everyone as she suddenly released a massive halo around their group, only to find 13 figures surrounding them.
âGuards up everyone.â Aqua called, âThese must be Xehanortâs XIII.â
âLio, do you know where Sora is?â Riku called parrying one of the first attacks from their enemy's new form.
âHis tetherâs still intake.â Lio called without looking towards the silver haired youth as she shot a blast towards Roxas, who was parrying one of the XIII away from Xion, at the same time summoning a shield appearing behind Axel, who was covering Ventus. âI canât pinpoint him at the moment, thereâs a bit of interference but heâll be safe wherever he is.â
âAre you sure?â Mickey inquired, noticing the Luminaryâs skin was getting worse along with her pant.
âWhat about you?â Xion asked, watching the Luminaryâs back, noticing the cracks along the shaft of Lioâs staff, the weapon no longer held in hand but being more of a beacon to keep the others drawn towards her.
âIâll be fine,â Lio replied, a glance to her staff above her head, she figured that this form had held on long enough. It honestly should have shattered years ago, but the influx of power suddenly pumped into the owner was the tipping point. The woman hoped it wonât shatter just yet, sending another wave of magic forcing the XIII back, yet at the same time placed sparks of light within the others.
The Luminary watched as her Keyblade Wielders around her attacked and defended one another. The power of Kingdom Hearts filtering through her out into seven around her, mindful of being sure not to push to much on anyone at any time, yet also casting spells to fend off those of the XIII that might have gotten to for comfort, all while still attempting to pinpoint Sora and guide him back to where they currently were while he searched for whatever piece he needed. Not to mention the pain of trying to keep herself together. She absolutely refused to lose anyone else in this fight.
A flash of memory of her dragging Sora and Kairi back crossed her mind. She had hardly been able to reach out to them that time, only managing to snag their tethers before yanking them back to herself. A counter to the Spell of Awakening that Yen Sid had so carelessly supplied Sora with, and the youth had used it and ended in the afterworld! She in herself was almost stuck there when reaching out to them, wondering just how exactly it was that she survived, by all accounts it should have cut her life in half if not more.
âThere you are!â Lio called suddenly, pulling up a shield around Sora and Riku as Sora reappeared, âDid you find it?â
Sora held the final piece up towards Lio, âThat makes six.â
Lio gave a small cheer, only to watch as they were suddenly circled by the XIII. Casting a spell as she dragged everyone back towards her, creating a barrier around the barrier Aqua and the others had created, as the dark creatures stuck again and again.
âUh, Ms. Luminary, weâve got a problem.âAxel called, as the XIII made it through the first barrier and was now working on the second. Turning only to find Lio hunched over flashing a bright light again and again almost like a heartbeat that was getting faster.
âLio,â Aqua gasped over her shoulder, not wishing to turn her eyes away from the enemy before her.
âAre you all right?â Terra called refusing to drop his guard if the creatures got through the barrier he was on the first lines to try and push them back.
Lio gasped time and time again,it was getting too hard to breath, each flash of light was temporarily blinding her again and again. Through unfocused eyes she watched as parts of the barrier surrounding them begun to shatter, she tried to keep them sealed in time, but with the XIII moving fast enough and working together, she herself trying to repair along with trying not to overload anyone with magic she found herself worried. She could hopefully get off another blast, it would maybe give the others enough time to escape, maybe she could teleport them away? No, with the amount of power going through her as well as her previous attempts at teleporting she was worried that someone would end up hurt or elsewhere, where she could put innocent lives in danger.
She would just have to leave this up to everyone else, they did wonderfully without her so far. She would trust them to end this fight. Crossing her arms at the wrist before her, she dragged in as much power as possible, ignoring the sounds of her body shattering, spilling further light as she hissed, âBe still!â
The XIII attacking the barrier froze as Lio rose her arms, the cracks along the arms seeming to travel up her entire body at this point, bursting forth with light. A second spell surrounded the Keyblade Wielders around her individuality as she shined brightly. A circle of bright light surrounded everyone before exploding outwards sending the XIII flying managing to destroy most of them. The deafening silence suddenly filled with a resounding explosion.
The move being the tipping point as Lio immediately dropped into a comatose state. Unconsciously aware of all her Wielders but two being sent away, before she lost all their tethers.
âAre you going to stay asleep?â
Lio huffed at the voice, it sounded so familiar, yet at the same time the inflection wasnât one that she was used to hearing the voice in. Almost as if it was whispering to her.
âThey still need you.â
Lio managed to open her eyes at this, the overwhelming pressure of the magic of Kingdom Hearts was no longer effecting her and the cracks within her skin had disappeared along with the suffocating magic. She went looking for the voice but instead found herself surrounded by eight keyholes. Looking through each one, finding one of her Wielders in each one. She tried reaching out to them, but found a barrier within the way, no matter how many times she tried to grab them.
Yet the voice calling to her didnât belong to any of them. She found herself floating before a Keyhole of a familiar setting of the Keyblade Graveyard, finding two of her Wielders there instead of one.Â
âYouâve had them wait long enough.â
Lio turned as she heard the voice again, only to gasp as she felt a strong hand suddenly push into her back, forcing her through. She tried to turn at the last moment, yet only caught sight of a hooded figure, a soft smile was her farewell before the doorway closed to her.
Lio gave a grunt as she landed rather harshly, watching as the two she had seen turned towards her, âLooks like you found her, Starshine.âÂ
âLio!â Sora and Kairi called rushing towards her, moving to hug her only to find that Kairi had passed through her.
âWhat, whatâs happening?â Kairi gasped looking toward Sora and then Lio tears in her eyes.
âNo, no donât worry.â Lio smiled wanting to stop the panic, âYouâre both fine, right now weâre still piecing everything together. Weâve got one more fight to go through, it will be a big one, but Iâm sure that youâre aware of that.â She replied, holding out a hand towards Sora. âThe others are on their way, but as of right now this last fight is yours Sora, will you be all right going in there alone?â
Sora smiled brightly, âAs long as I got my friends Iâm never alone.â He replied as Kairi took his hand.Â
Lio gave a laugh, âThatâs right, be safe. Weâll join you as soon as we can. You two look after each other.â
Sora nodded as he held Kairiâs hand tighter.
Lio rested a hand to his head, as the boy glew bright, she watched as the other Wielder's appeared behind the duo before her, âLetâs end this.â She called as Sora and Kairi disappeared.
âLio!â
The Luminary looked up from where Sora and Kairi disappeared before her, finding the others racing towards her, clearly confused as to how they ended up back in the Graveyard of all places.
âAre you all right?â Terra asked, still not able to relax even when she assured him that she was.
âAre you feeling better?â Aqua inquired, noting that even though Kingdom Hearts was full, Lio no longer seemed affected by its power at least the cracks in her skin has disappeared and she appeared while again.
âYeah.â
Axel blinked as he looked around, âWhat? Where are Sora and Kairi? They were just here.âÂ
Riku turned to the others as Lio motioned them towards herself as she moved towards the edge of the plateau they were standing on, âThey were here right?â
Lio nodded, seeming to reassure Riku.
âAs long as theyâre together theyâll be all right.â Riku replied, as Lio gave a smile looking up towards Kingdom Hearts.
âBut Kairi.â Xion muttered, only to look up and find Lioâs hand on her shoulder, something that Olix would do,they both did have a lot of the same quirks, that had brought back reassurance almost immediately.Â
âAre you okay?â Ventus asked.
Everyone turned at the strange question, only to find Lio tears in her eyes, yet a bright smile on her face.
âYes, we should follow Soraâs heart, the battleâs over.â She explained as her feet left the ground.
Iâve got so many drafts from like 2019 of story prompts and just trying to figure out how to use a drawing tablet with no where to put them for Kingdom Heart: Luminary, so Iâll just put them under this cut and you can view them if you want...
Of course a bunch of doodles of Lio and Olix after KH2. I ended up changing 90% of Lioâs outfit because I couldnât figure out how to draw the shorts from a side angle without making them too strange. I cut Olixâs hair and removed the plaid because itâs difficult to draw, and then gave her a whole new outfit because I really hated the first draft, it made her appear too blank.
I really just wanted to see what a Nortâed pre-timeskipped Lio might have looked like.
The staff is the only thing that is cannon forever, but I hate drawing it because I made it too detailed. Very unlike me!
Of course dramatic shipping, and trying to figure lighting...I still have no idea what a light source is or how to use it lol...
So of course Terra/Lio, and just trying to figure how to draw Terra, I think this was the third time drawing Terra, and I honestly have to say I only enjoy the armor.
My love/hate with designing Lingering Will, like OMG, please no armor. Every time I looked at the reference I saw more things! Why you so complicated!! Again dramatic lighting practice...again please donât judge lol this was from like a year ago, Iâve gotten slightly better lol
Norted Lio danced across my head hundreds of times and after the story is completed I might publish the drafts/storyline so that it can at least have a home.
One of the story lines for Norted Lio involed like three Lioâs running around and one of them was to be a container of sorts. I might just go back to this one when I publish AU. Idk what effect I was going for but It looks just...okay...lol
Ch. 10* â*~~~*â
-
âTheyâre waiting for us, letâs go!âÂ
Sora gasped as he opened his eyes, he could have sworn that he was in a blue oasis. Collecting pieces of himself and talking to Charity?, when he found Kairi and then a hand reaching for the both of them. Looking down to find that his arms were wrapped tightly around Kairi. Staring in confusion as he felt something release him, only realizing that he was wrapped in someone elseâs embrace.
âWe promised to go home together.âÂ
The two turned as Lio stood, a slight pant in her voice as she turned to everyone else among the field, non the wiser at what had just happened.
âI wonât be able to do that again, so please relay on us too.â Lio smiled fondly, giving them both a pet on the head before moving to take the front with Aqua, Riku and Mickey.
Kairi turned to Olix beside them, âWhat happened?â
âLuminaryâs draw mysterious powers, but a few can be life threatening if taken advantage of.â Olix explained, a hand wave to Lio, as the womanâs pant seemed to disappeared with a healing spell. âThe spell both of you used were dangerous to use in tandem, Lio took most of the backlash for you.â
âWill Lio be okay?â Sora gasped, moving to go after the woman.Â
âNow that she has all of you, yes.â Olix smiled, placing a hand to their backs. âCome along, we donât want the others to wait.â
Location: Badlands
As they came upon the narrow way leading to actual graveyard, everyone flinched as something rush beyond them, only to find that Olix had sent splinters of her orb out around them creating a barrier that dispersed the heartless that attempted to ambush them.
âGuards still up everyone!â Aqua called beside Lio, both women holding tight to their weapons.
Ventus stepped forward as he recognized the figure on the battle field, before racing forward, âTerra.â
Aqua and Lio rushed after him, only for Lio to jump between them, her staff becoming gauntlets as she immediately swung a punch down, connecting with the top of the personâs head, lifting a leg as she kicked out, pushing the person away.
âLio, what are you doing?â Riku called in confusion with the rest of the battle field.
Lio landed her guard refusing to drop, as she separated the man from Aqua and Ventus behind her, âThatâs not Terra.â She hissed. âShow us who you really are!â
That brown hair became white, as a Keyblade appeared in hand, âAnnoying Luminary.â He growled rushing the woman, only to be stopped at another Keyblade stopped his from slamming into her. âYou!â
âTerra.â Lio smiled as she saw the familiar golden armor before her, blocking the attack aimed at her. A slight nodded of the head towards the others was all Lio needed as she pulled back grabbing Aqua and Ventus along the way, setting them down before the group of others. âOlix!â
âReady!â Olix called back as the woman held up her orb, a barrier surrounding their group.Â
Everyone watching as Lingering Will pushed back the darkness with Terraâs body. Only to keep up the rush, hitting attack after attack at the creature.
âWhatâs that!?â Goofy gasped, as everyone stared in shock at the tsunami of heartless headed their way. Slamming into Olixâs barrier hard, seeming almost ready to shatter but held firm.
âEveryone get ready.â Aqua called, watching Olix strain to keep the barrier from cracking around them.Â
Olix let out a gasp, as she noticed part of the barrier to her right start to crack. âLio?â
âJust a bit more, can everyone buy me time?â Lio asked glowing light pink, the light spreading to her feet, creating an almost large glass stain window at their feet.
âWe got it!â Kairi called standing before Olix, her Keyblade at the ready, only to find Sora beside her.
âReady whenever you are.â Sora smiled over his shoulder to Olix.
Olix gave a nod, drawing the barrier in before it exploded outwards, taking out a good amount around the group surrounding them.
âLetâs go!â Sora called, rushing the shadows moving forward, only to find that their enemy had pulled back suddenly.
âWhatâs going on?â Axel inquired.
The heartless in question had created a large pillar, spinning in a horrifying silence, destroying everything around them and coming closer by the moment.
âI call to distant sparks to a past still unnamed, face all fears, reawaken a dying light!â Lio casted the woman glowing brightly. A pillar of light to appear on the battle field stopping their enemy from advancing forward.
The woman hold out her hands to Sora as be brightly glowed, âTheyâre calling for you. Letâs give them a show.â
At that millions of Keyblades arrived on the battlefield. Lio watched with a soft pant, her gauntlets returned as she focused in defending the Keyblade wielders that werenât currently using a Keyblade as a skateboard.
The woman felt a tingle up her spin as she heard a clang, turning around as she saw two familiar blades block an attack. âThank you. Please watch out for the others too.â
As the large pillar of Keyblades dealt the final blow to the heartless tower on the field, the group was brought to the attention of the creature still in Terraâs body. Only to find Lingering Will had drawn the other into a corner a large cannon of a Keyblade braced on his shoulder.
The woman stepping forward as the armor braced his Keyblade turned cannon on his shoulder. A hand placed against the canon as it begun to flood with a glowing pink.
âAllow me.â She called as the canon fired getting the current enemy before them, for the moment. âHe got away.â
Her pink eyes widen as she felt something take her hand, turning to look at the armor beside her, easily making the tall woman feel much shorter.Â
âPlease wait just a little longer.â
Lio could only watch as the armor leaned forward pressing the mouth guard against her forehead. The woman giving a nod as the armor left the battle field. Raising her head high she pulled her shoulders back, she would cry later. She had cried too many sad tears, the next she was determined to make them happy.
âIs everyone all right?â She called, hands raised only to find Olix beside her.
âIâve already healed all wounds. What of you?â Olix asked, healing the other.
Lio smiled placing a hand to Olixâs shoulder, âBetter, letâs get this battle over with.â
~
She honestly didnât think that Yen Sid would arrive on the field, much less Donald, Goofy and Mickey take to defending everyoneâs back as they rushed forward into the maze.
They had unfortunately been separated into groups. Olix was luckily with Axel and Kari, she could trust the other to watch them both. Aqua and Ventus were separate, they had trained and battled together before so they could rely on each other for the time being. Riku seemed to be the only currently alone, at least for the moment as Sora was currently racing towards the other. Teathers were everywhere, and trying to keep up with everyone will moving quickly through this maze and watching for ambushes she found herself torn in so many ways.
Olix needed to focus, she couldnât figure just who was against who at this moment. Xehonartâs XIII were different, but the other would more than likely try a physiological attack and attempt to pair the fights to work in his advantage. She didnât have the energy to attempt a teleport, worried about landing within an attack or worse tripping up someone on accident.
âDonât hesitate!â
Lio almost stumbled, she wasnât certain if the voice was one of the fallen Keyblade Wielders. It couldnât have been as Xehonart had enough decency to pick a part of the graveyard to battle in that was without Keyblades. besides she hadnât heard anyone calling out to her since she left Yen Sid. She didnât have enough time to think it through, she needed to move!
Heeled feet rushed against the dirt as she begun through the maze. She wouldnât slow down again!
She heard the shocked call of Ventus before she landed eyes on the blond, only to find that boy from before. The one that looked closer to Sora. She moved much faster than anticipated when she saw that dark Keyblade raised to strike.
She by no means wanted to hurt Ventus, as he too was a Keyblade wielder but she wouldnât allow him to hurt Ventus. A kick deflected the Keyblade, taking the moment that had stunned Vantis, managing to get behind him. A hand wrapped around the collar of his of the dark shirt, before the woman pulled back tossing the youth away into one of the cliff sides, luckily only his helmet shattered as he stayed routed in spot for just a moment.
âLio.âÂ
âYou okay, Ven?â Lio called, her sight never leaving Vantis form slowly pulling from the cliff side.
âYeah but AquaâŚâ
Lio hadnât even noticed but Aqua was defending against the false person in Terraâs body. Yet Aqua would be fine for the time being, she needed to subdue Vantis.
Or better yetâŚ
âAqua!â
The Keyblade Master turned at her name being called, immediately understanding the call. Both women racing towards one another, their opponents not far behind, both slowing down as they almost ran into each other.
Lio jumped kicking the Keyblade aimed to strike Aqua away from the target. While Aqua spun out, her own Keyblade deflecting Vantisâs aimming for Lio. The two women parrying the attacks before leaping back, back to back watching their enemy.
âYouâve got him?â
âYeah. Weâll take out Vantis fist, this guy will be harder.â
âIâll stall.â
The conversation over almost as quickly as it started, as both rushed the white hair Terra. As much as she wished to have Vantis join them, Xehonart had his darkness much to deep in the other at the moment.
âYouâre worried about the wrong thing Luminary.â
Lio grabbed the keyblade aimmed at her, pulling back her right arm,âAnd you should worry about yourself!â
-
Olix parried another swing of the Claymore, Lunatic, before her. She had already felt the lack of anger and power behind it, Saix was putting on quite the act she had to admit, she only hoped that Xemnas was also impressed by the man.
She moved back beside Kairi her hand moving into the black hood as she placed an orb in it to protect the other. When Xemnas had joined the battle she knew that her best option would be to defend, even with Sora and Roxas joining the battle Axel was now down, along with a returned Xion and Xemnas was a man in mystery, there was no telling if Xehonart provided anyone with a power up.
Despite being happy that the Xion had returned, Olix realized that she couldnât protect everyone on the field. Xemnas wouldnât go after Xion and Axel when they couldnât defend themselves as they no longer posed a threat and Xehonart need them both alive. While Sora and Roxas could handle themselves against Saix and Xemnas she just needed to protect one thing.
âStay beside me.â Olix called to Kairi beside her. While she had trained the other, Xemnas was still in a class far above the youth
âSo foolish.âÂ
Olix didnât realize until it was much too late, a portal opening beside herself and Kairi. The woman let out a grunt as she felt Xemnas shove her out the way before she could respond, taking a hold of Kairiâs arm.
Kairi let out a gasp as she was ported across the battle field and her arm being twisted back to an angle that caused her to release her Keyblade.
âLet her go!â Olix barked a rage even she wasnât prepared to erupt form her. Rushing forward, an orb coming to parry the saber going to attack her. Her hand grabbing a hold of Kairiâs arm ready to teleport the other out of Xemnasâs hold. Only to instead freeze in her tracks as a blade turn piercing through her back.Â
A familiar scene flashed before her eyes, one that belonged to Lio of this happening long ago. Violet eyes turned up towards Xemnas as he release the light from his hold to grab the front of the dress as he leaned forward whispering something within the others ear. Hushed from all on the field aside from those that were meant to hear.
Tired violet eyes turned towards Sora on the field as Olixâs collapsed backwards as Xemnas released her.
âDonât give up...SoraâŚâÂ
With that the womanâs body faded away, before she could even touch the dirt. Xemnas teleporting away with Kairi, not even bother by the woman disappearing.
~
Lio jolted as she felt a theater snag, a quick reflex of trying to find the source was interrupted as she dodged away from the keyblade aimed at her head.Â
Vantis was gone, they had managed to defeat the other in battle. No matter how much she had wished to reach out to him the other refused to take not only her hand but Ventusâs, the two shared a much deeper connection but Vantis was too afraid. There was still some good within the other half, he just didnât want to accept it.
âIâll be sure to get rid of you this time!â The darkness within Terraâs body growled as she parried the Keyblade with a kick, quickly following by pivoting she slammed a heel into his chest.
The woman had her hands filled with the person before her, she couldnât alert Aqua and Ventus of the true identity of the Guardian. Knowing that it was the others plan all along to keep her busy enough that she couldnât get the warning to the others.Â
She could call out to Terra in that prison but the problem was if he would return since at the moment she couldnât hear his heart or sense their tether. For all she knew Terra wasnât even the one in control of the Guardian at this moment. She heard of Aqua journey in the Darkness, and how the Keyblade Master had almost lost herself there. She mentally reminded herself that she had quite a few choice words to provide Mickey and Ansem the Wise once this was over about that.
Lio attempted to ignore the tug of the tether at the furthest reach of her mind. Hoping that whomever it was could hold on just a little longer, when she felt it!
A jolt went through her heart! The tether was growing weaker! As if moments from snapping.
So preoccupied by the wavering tether she didnât realize the chains surrounding her until it was too late and the chains had wrapped around her trapping her arms to her sides. A quick yank found her pulled to her knees, followed by her stomach. Rolling to her side she attempted to break the hold only to find Aqua and Ventus running to her.
âLio!â
âLook out!â She screamed, yet her call came too late as she watched as both Aqua and Ventus were strung up high above the battle field. âNo...Let them go!â
A loud cackle answered her, âYouâre in no position to be giving orders!â
Lioâs body was pulled back as she was dragged across the dirt, before her body collided with the cliff face, knocking the breath out of her trapping her against the rock face. Through dizzy vision she watched as Aqua and Ventus were thrown around by the chains.
âst...Stop this!â
âThis is the end!!â The man called, a flex of his hand suddenly dropping the two.
Her hands flexed, trying to summon anything to get out of this situation. Her stomach sunk as everything seemed to slow down before her. Teleporting would only allow her to grab a hold of one, if she was lucky. Hundreds of plans rushed through her head, wishing that she was a better study at teleporting, wanting to find some way to save them both, but each idea , each thought always ended with her failing one of them.Â
Tears clouded her eyes as she tried thinking of anything, something to save them. Her mind focused on one thing as she closed her eyes and let out a scream.
âTerra!â
She heard the chains suddenly jolt to a stop, looking up to find the Guardian had taken a hold of Aqua and Ventus the free hand holding the chains before snapping them. Watching as the vessel set down the two wielders before turning its attention to the darkness within its actual body.
Lio felt the chain around her pull, only to feel if lack as that chain was also broken. The Luminary falling to the ground, managing to catch herself, only to look up as she heard struggling. Turning pink eyes to find the Guardian holding the one that had taken Terraâs body captive.
âOne day...one day I will set this right⌠I will return to this land and protect...my friends!â The vessel proclaimed in a voice not used in so long.
Lio rose her hand towards the vessel and Terraâs body, stumbling back leaning against the cliff face, âAqua! Ven!â
The two following her lead as they rose their keyblades to aim at duo in the middle of the field.
A flash of light erupted on the battle field, the kickback slamming Lio against the cliff. The Luminary only realizing she had blacked out for just a moment when she woke back up still against the cliff face, a soft ringing in her ears. Her eyes scanning the battle field before landing on three beings not far from her.
Three! There were three of them!
âTer..,â The blast had thrown her hard into the cliff behind herself, and she still hadnât recovered enough to call out, but one of the figures turned towards her quickly standing.
âLio.â A voice called back as someone raced over to her.
A smile came over her face as she felt tears escape as she pulled herself up. She had promised the next tears would be happy, she just wasnât sure if sheâd be able to stop them was the problem.
âTerra.â She sobbed as she begun to match his steps racing towards herself.
It wasnât until there was a solid body against her own and strong arms wrapped around until she realized that she was sobbing hard. Strong arms unwrapped from her body, only for strong hands to cradle her face.
âI heard you. Youâre voice brought me back.â
Lio sniffed,a hiccup leaving her as she rested her hand against his forearms, feeling him brush away a few tears. Trying to speak through her sobs, âTah...Terra. Youâre here.â
âYour hair, itâs beautiful.â Terra smiled, pushing her hair from her face.
Lio gave a laugh, as she turned her cheek into his hand, pressing her lips against his palm, knowing if she spoke it would just be useless sobs.
Terra gave a soft chuckle his own tears falling, âIâm sorry to keep you wanting for so long.â
Lio shook her head, trying so hard to smile managing to find her voice, âI knew in my heart that youâd return to me.â
Terra smiled softly as he pulled her forward, one of his hands cradling the back of her head the other still holding her cheek, pulling her close. Lio braced her hands against his chest as she leaned into his hold.
A press of lips against one another. One long over due, if the moment would have allowed the two would have remained in each otherâs embrace. Yet the two separated, faces flushed at the express of emotion. Trying to find the right words but it seemed their kiss had done more than enough.
âI have all of you back.â Lio smiled softly, trying to get her tears to stop. Her gaze going to Aqua and Ventus allowing the two to have their moment. Both herself and Terra reached out pulling the other two between the both of them as they all clung tightly to one another. And having Aqua and Ventus join their hug it started tears all over again.
It was unknown of just how long the group held onto each other. Only for Lio to flinch as she felt another snag, only to let out a gasp as she felt her heart give a rough pulse and then drop.
âAre you okay?â Aqua asked noticing the look of pain in the Luminaryâs face.
Lio gave a pant, âSomeones tether snapped.â
âSnapped?â Ventus asked, âDo you know who?â
âI just had so many added recently itâs hard to keep track of the new ones and with Xehonartâs few that have been added. I...I canât find who...â Lio explained only to look down and find Terraâs hand in her own.
âWe should find them.â He offered wanting to stop her panic.
Lio have a nod, finding Aqua and Ventus had taken her free hand. Closing her eyes she felt around the battle field only to gasp.
âWhatâs wrong?âÂ
âEveryone brace yourselves!â She called.
With that they were gone in a flash.
âAqua! Ven!â
âLio!â They called back.
Lio held them tight, unable to get words out as she tried to figure it she wanted to cry or laugh at the fact she was able to actually hold them again.
âOh, my stars youâre both okay!â Lio finally managed as she released her hug only to cup their faces. Unable to realize that she was indeed holding them. âRight? Iâm so sorry! I should have been waiting for you.â
âDonât be sorry,â Ventus replied as she wiped tears from his eyes, only to pull them in for another quick squeeze.
Aqua stepped back, glancing the taller woman up and down, âYou look amazing.â
Lio let out a bark of a laugh, looking to her new attire of a white halter, black tights with splashes of gold throughout. Her hair no longer curled tight to her head, instead hung down to her mid-back, yet that familiar pink papou leaf held its post proudly.
âItâs so good to see you all are doing fine.â She smiled before her eyes turned to those still staring in confusion. âTo see everyone.â
Ch. 9* â*~~~*â
Location: Mysterious Tower, Twilight Town
âStill not any good at that.â She laughed, attempting to shake the pins and needles from her legs at the rough landing in the courtyard.
âHey! What are you doing here!?â
She looked over her shoulder, standing full height, only one of the figures stood taller than herself. So many different Keyblades greeted her, connected to those before her. Her eyes connecting with two blue ones staring in shock before two Keyblades disappeared and the sound of racing feet against the lawn echoed her own.
Racing forward she held out her arms a laugh escaping her as she caught the two that ran to greet her, almost knocking her off her feet if she didnât brace herself hard, instead, lifting them up with tears in her eyes.
âAqua! Ven!â
âLio!â They called back.
Still holding tight to Aqua and Ventus Lio made her way to the others surprising them all by knowing everyoneâs name. standing just underneath Axel.
âAnd how do you know this Ms. Luminary?â Axel inquired, almost stating the woman in the eye considering the height they both had over the others.
âI had someone watching you all when I couldnât, Lea.â She replied before adding with a huge smile, âAlthough Iâm used to you being called Axel.â
This seemed to satisfy the other man, only to find the Luminaryâs gaze on something away from the group. Following it to find that Olix was still standing back towards the stairs to Yen Sidâs office.
âOlix,â Lio called, watching the other woman jump in surprise at her name being called. âAre you just gonna stand over there?â
Sheepishly Olix moved over to the group, her head low looking up to the Luminary for the first time beyond her lashes.
âSo you did all of this?â Lio inquired an eyebrow arched, appearing to look down in the other woman, âYou left the castle, got involved in this entire thing, and found all of these wielders, all on your own?â
Sora jumped forward, âWha...wait OlixâŚâ The other was silenced at Rikuâs arm before him.
Before anyone realized Lio had wrapped both of her arms around Olix, hugging the smaller woman to her chest, letting out a loud laugh as she pulled Olix off her feet.
âThank you! You did so much more than I asked of you.â Lio cheered, setting Olix down as she looked the other over, cupping the others face trying to find any signs of harm, only to smile when she didnât. âAnd youâre hair itâs so cute! I love it!â
Olix blushed deeply looking down to her feet, âThank you.â Her eyes turning to Lio finally able to meet the other's gaze. âBut I wasnât able to find the last one.â
Lio placed a hand on the womanâs shoulder, âYouâve already done so much for me, more than enough. That one will be a little harder to find. Itâs time for me to finally do my job as Luminary. I never meant to put so much on you.â
Lio glanced down as she felt a hand within her own, turning to find Aqua there.
âIs itâŚâ
Lio placed a comforting hand on Aquaâs, âHe was fractured the most. There so many pieces of him scattered and for so long. But weâll find him.â
Aqua nodded in agreement, she, of course, trusted her Luminary, but the tremble in the other hand made her worry.
*
âThere you are.â Aqua called stepping outside, âI should have known that youâd be out here.â
âIs that so?â
Aqua sat down beside Lio on the stairs, both gazing up, âYouâd always go star gazing back at the castle.â
Lio let out a giggle, giving a slight shrug, âReally never thought of it. Itâs just so nice to see them again.â
Aqua nodded as they both stared at the sky, only now finding that Ventus was beside them. The trio looking to the sky in silence, trying to find words to explain what each of them went through and to apologize for not relying on one another. Of apologies to faults not their own and how theyâd make this right.
â...I guess now would be better late than never.â
Lio turned to the other, only to find a multi-colored star before her on a chain, âWhatâs this?â She inquired as she held out her hand allowing Aqua to place it in her hand, finding that there were five pieces that made up this star, one of blue, one of green, an orange, a pink and the top point white.
âIt was supposed to be a welcome home gift, but with everything that happened I wasnât able to give it to you.â Aqua explained.
âAqua made one for all of us.â Ventus smiled holding up his own green one, while Aqua showed her own blue one.
Lio stared at theirs before looking back to the one in her hand, finding they the blue and green were the same as theirs, almost as if the pieces were taken from the others, âTheyâre amazing!, they match your tethers so well.â
Aqua leaned over, pointing towards the pink piece, âI tried matching it as close to your leaf as possible.â
Lio smiled down to the star within her hand, her thumb brushing over the orange piece above the pink piece. Only to find Aquaâs hand on her own, looking up to find tear-filled eyes greet her own tear-filled ones.
âWeâll get him back.â
Lio didnât even attempt to stop her sobs as she felt Aqua reach out, pulling the Luminary close, resting Lioâs forehead against her shoulder. Feeling Ventus take her free hand holding it tight as she shuffled close to the two women leaning against the Luminary, only to fill her arm wrap around him.
The trio unaware that someone was watching them.
âOlix,â
The woman turned to find that Mickey, Donald and Goofy were approaching her. âYes?â
âHave you seeing Aqua, Ventus and Lio?â Mickey asked.
âMaster Yen Sid wants to go over plans.â
Olix glanced outside at the trio, before turning back to the three, finding they had followed her gaze, âLetâs give them a little more time. Itâs been so long since they were last together.â
Olix had taken the time to pull Aqua and Ventus aside earlier, explaining that Lio had watched all of them be stripped away from herself. The sleep that the Luminary was placed in did not stop her from remembering the others, but Lio never did get a proper chance to grieve. Not for her teacher that had betrayed her, not for the loss of Eraqus, and not for her Wielders.
âPlease allow her this.â
*
The Luminary stood before Yen Sid taller and more alert, everyone ignoring the red eyes that were finally able to shed tears.
Lio called to the room, âItâs also welcoming to return to so many new wielders, as well as three new Keyblade Masters.â
âYes, of course, I believe that you are up to speed thanks to Olix.â Yen Sid replied looking to the woman standing further back.
âYes, and I would like to speak to you about Sora.â Olix stated looking to the young Keyblade Wielder. âSora please come here.â
The brunette stepped from between Kairi and Riku moving to stand beside the Luminary, âYeahâŚâ
He expected to be scolded but instead found a hand on his shoulder.
âYou have burdened so much, time and time again. Iâm so sorry that I was not here to stop this unfair treatment.â Lio sighed softly, those pink eyes seeming to find a common ground, sincerely apologizing for the treatment of the other.
Her gaze suddenly turned to Yen Sid her shoulders back and head high, âI wished that Ansem the Wise was here as well, but for the time being, I will have to address you, I want to first thank you for watching after everyone in my absence, Master Yen Sid. However I will not excuse your treatment of Sora, nor anyone else that has been affected by this.â
This seemed to take the entire room back, only for the Luminary to continue before anyone could interpret her.
âI understand that you have trained His Majesty, and it has been some time since youâve trained, but all students are different. And a student that is constantly overlooked and given unclear instructions will begin only to cause doubt within their ability and themselves. Sora has been through so much.â Lio replied, facing the man, âMore than most here after all this is done I would ask that you reconsider how you train him, and allow for him to take the mark of mastery again. For I will also want to witness him.â
âCan she do that?â Goofy gasped.
âAs Luminary Lio can call for a student to take the Mastery as many times as she wants. She may not be able to give Sora the status but her vote for those to take the test often outweighs the Master.â Aqua explained.
âReally Lio?â Sora gasped looking up to the woman.
âI see no reason as to why not.â She smiled, a hand to his head, âYouâve got quite a bright light in you star shine.â
âWell thatâs all good, but what about this whole Xehonart situation?â Axel inquired.
âWeâll be taking the fight to him.â Lio stated, turning as she reached out to Olix, who had stepped forward. âOlix wasnât just watching you all.â
Olix held up her orb, the light in the room draining as a figure of an elaborate chessboard appeared. âThere will be thirteen vessels for Xehonart and twelve of us.â
âThirteen? Not sure if you remember Olix the organization is gone.â Axel stated.
âThose were trials in a sense. There are still a few that have not returned to themselves. Only a few have return to themselves, there are still seven uncounted for. Xehonart will be joining in this fight as well.â Olix explained before turning to Lio, âI also wanted to speak with you of Vexen, um Even.â
âI canât make any promises but Iâll see to it.â Lio smiled.
âWhy bring that guy back?â Axel huffed.
Olix smiled weakly, âWeâll need his help with helping the others return too.â
âWait you canât meanâŚâ
Lio turned to Axel, âThose three are also my charges, all of them Namine, Roxas and XiâŚâ She stopped at a shake of Olixâs head. âThey will not just be casualties for Xehonartâs greed. I promise.â
*
âEveryone ready?â Lio called, looking upon her group of Wielders. âRemember the plan, he will try to separate us, the Graveyard is large. We will all return home together!â
The group nodded in understanding as Lio held out her hands alongside Olix as they both cast a teleportation spell to the Keyblade Graveyard.
Location: Bad Lands
âGuard up! Everyone! He will make the first attack.â Lio called, leading the group through the Graveyard, Aqua, Riku and Mickey beside her.
âDo you hear that?â Olix asked.
âHear what?â Goofy asked, as everyoneâs guard tightened on their weapons.
âTheyâre very loud today.â Olix muttered as Lio glanced over her shoulder immediately understanding, that only the two of them could hear the silent voices.
âTheyâre crying,â Lio explained waving a hand as she lifts a few Keyblades just outside the Graveyard to stand upright again. âThey feel the battle just like us, and judging by how loud they are, Xehonart and the others are close.â
Almost as if summoned them, the man appeared, with his own army.
âLuminary, so wonderful for you to join us again.â Xehonart chuckled.
Lioâs grip on her staff tightens, only to find Aqua standing beside her.Â
âIâll only ask you this once, stop what youâre doing!â Lio barked, her eyes wavering towards the two men she had last seen before she was placed asleep.
Xehonart chuckled as he rose his hand from behind his back, âWeâre well beyond that.â He called snapping his fingers.
Riku gasped as he noticed the puddles of black around them, âEveryone!â
âTheyâre getting away!â Axel called parrying an attack from one of the base heartless.
âWorry about those in front of you!â Aqua called striking away a few from Ventus back.
âLio,â Olix called.
âYeah two of them.â Lio replied smashing two away from Sora, taking the boy's hand. âCare to brighten this place up?â She smiled tossing the other up, only for him to brighten the battlefield, with what could only be described as an amusement park ride.
The others quickly following through with the attacks. Managing to clear out the enemies before them for the moment.
âEveryone okay?â Mickey asked, getting affirmations from the rest of the party, as they entered the actual Graveyard.
âVen?â Lio called noticing the blond staring at something. Only to turn following his gaze along with Aqua as they both gasped.
âTerra.â Ventus called.
Lio and Aqua found themselves chasing after the young one. Only to both notice something off as both raced before Ventus, stopping Ventus and glaring at the man before them.
âYouâre not Terra. We wonât fall for this.â Lio sneered, her staff pointed toward the imposter.
âLet our friend go!â Aqua growled, Keyblade at the ready.
The imposter chuckled as he summoned his own Keyblade, his hair turning white. âNot going to fall for that twice?â
Lio twirled her staff as it shone pink, transforming into gauntlets. The woman rushing forward, pulling back as she hit hard, only to connect with the keyblade of the man before her.
âGuess you do learn.â He chuckled in that deep voice that didnât belong to Terra.
âWhere is Terra!â Lio growled.
âSo worried about the one that you lost, you canât even protect the ones you have with you.â
Lio gasped as she saw the wave of heartless coming towards them. Whatever warning she wanted to call out to them was cut off as the noise of the creatures became too loud for her to scream over.
Pushing the imposter in Terraâs body away, she ran towards Aqua and Ventus, only to stare as they were stripped away from them. Her heart sank! Not again!
The woman quickly ran towards the others, she would not lose anyone else! Each step seemed to find her foot sinking in quicksand, when she felt a snag on her arm. Turning to find the imposter before her, his white hair returned to the brown it was supposed to be.
âLio pleaseâŚâ
Lioâs panic-filled mind faltered for just a moment at that familiar voice, only for her to find a hand to her throat, stopping her long enough for tendrils of heartless to hold her in place. Forcing her to watch as the barrier that Olix had put up to protect Kairi and Axel shattered, the three gone in a flash of black.Â
Lio could only watch as it all happened again. She wasnât strong enough! Eris was right, she wasnât fit to be anyoneâs Luminary.
âIâm not strong enough.â
Lioâs head snapped, that wasn't her voice that uttered the words. The woman saw a bright flash, watching as Donald cast a Zetta flare an attack that took the other's life to get rid of the creature in Terraâs body.
Her eyes turning to a collapsed Sora, Riku attempting to protect both of them just a little longer. They kept fight! She was being so selfish! She was scared, but she had to be strong for them! For her Keyblade wielders that went too long without her.
âSora!â She barked, pulling an arm from the tendrils holding her. âSora! Donât give up on us now! You have made it through so much!â She growled a hand wrapped around another few tendrils ripping it away, as she pulled herself out, of the darkness, only to watch as Riku was struck down.
The woman rushing over as she felt her body colloid with Soraâs, holding him close.
âYouâre not gonna give up on me now. I wonât let you back down. You have such a bright future.â
Olix is often mistaken for the Luminary that went missing years ago. Often mistaken for a Nobody, Olix does not, in fact, have a Somebody to return to. This does not excuse her from understanding the plight of those whose lives have been touched by the Darkness.
Olix has made it her personal mission to bring back those that were used in Xehonart's plans.
Fun facts about Olix:
Olix was originally created back over 10 years prior to Lio.
She was originally supposed to be the 15th member and never was to actually interact with Xion and Roxas as she has in the story.
She was to originally be teamed up with Demyx.
Her weapon was to be a microphone/stand that she used as a whip and lance. This was scrapped due to Demyx already having a musical instrument as a weapon, and Xaldin having lances.
During her reworking, her personality went from playful and brat-like to more reserved and soft spoke.
Despite having more chapters to Lio, I have drawn her the less.
Her Organization attire is based on my second and third favorite Disney Princesses, Belle for the cut of her jacket top, and the earrings from Jasmine.
When reworking KH: Luminary Olix was first going to be a figure that Xemnas in himself created when he destroyed Lio, out of the guilt and fear in what was leftover of Terraâs heart. This was dropped because I ended up needing her to interact with more people.
Ch. 8 â*~~~*â
Location: Castle Oblivion
Olix moved through the confusing halls of Castle Oblivion, she really hated all this white against black. Those memories that belonged to Lio were telling her that there was suppose to be color here and it was supposed to be warm and comforting. The young woman coming before the room she was placed in charge of by Xemnas.
It seems that word got back to Xemnas that she was going on her own missions without his permission and could not provide any information to the man about her whereabouts nor what purpose it brought. She knew that Xigbar and Demyx had followed her that, and that one if not both of the men mentioned it to Saix, who of course provided the information to Xemnas.Â
Yet Olix honestly didnât mind being placed in charge of the person within the room. She knocked politely, waiting for the call to come in as she opened the door. Her feet leaving the floor just enough to not crush or step on the hundreds of drawings all over the room.
âHow are you Namine?â She called to the blonde sitting at the table, sketching today's drawing. it appear to a woman in white and black.
âHi, Olix.â Namine beamed. âIâm fine how are you?â
âBetter.â Olix smiled, as she floated over to the young girl, âWhat are you drawing today?â
The two seemed to enjoy their time together. The few times that Marluxia or one of the others stepped into the room while Olix was around, Olix found herself standing between them always guarding Namine. Axel had inquired why she was so protective over the other.
âYou should know out of everyone,â Olix replied matter of factly.
Olix didnât often like to be far from Namine considering the way so many had already used the poor girl, something in her constantly made her stay close to the other. Something within her knew that a huge battle was soon to happen, not one to end this ridiculous war, but something that would cause a huge loss for the Organization.Â
At least she hoped.
âOlix,â Namine called one day, as Olix sat on the opposite side of the table. âAm I a good person?â
Olix blinked that was a question that she was not expecting, âWhat do you mean?â
âI hurt a lot of people.â
Olix froze for a moment trying to find the right words, âEveryone has someone at least once.â
âHave you?â
Olix nodded softly, âYes, a lot of people.â
Namine sat down her drawing for today, a familiar white hair youth glancing away, âCan a Nobody become a better person?â
âI believe so, no one is all good nor all bad. As long as you try your hardest to become better it shouldnât matter. I donât think youâre a bad person.â Olix explained, it felt like the words spilling from her lips werenât her own but were someone else. âDo you think Iâm bad?â
Namine looked towards the woman sitting across from her, âNo, youâre so nice to me. You never ask me to do things like others have.â
Olix smiled as she stood moving over to her, kneeling beside her as she rest a hand on Namineâs head, âWeâre a lot alike Namine.â
âHow?â
âIt wasnât long ago that I didnât know anything about myself, I followed everyone else plan. I didnât know what I was here for.â
âWhat happened?â
âI found a reason.â Olix smiled, her hand removing from Namineâs head, âYouâre so smart and kind, youâll be amazing.â
âBut how will I know? I donât even know what I am.â Namine cried softly, looking down to her lap, only to find Olixâs gloved hand on her lap, the womanâs other hand lifting her chin, as she wiped away the tears in her eyes.Â
âYou are Namine, you donât owe anyone an explanation,â Olix replied. âNot me, not Xemnas, no one. I just want you to make me one promise.â
Namine sniffed softly, âWh...what?â
Olix removed her hand from Namineâs watching the other flinch as if to grab the hand that left her own. Only for Olix to remove her glove, holding out her pinky finger, âPromise me that youâll never forget who you are, Namine.â
Olix let out a grunt as she felt the young girl slam into her chest, she just had enough time to get herself to a floating pose, as she felt Namine hug her tightly, burying her face within her shoulder. Olix smiled as she wrapped her arms around Namine.
Location: Castle that was never was
Olix was angry, she honestly could never recall being this angry. Marluxia and Larxene had used Namine, they used her to fulfill their own twisted plan. While she herself was stuck in the Castle at Xemnasâs side, and lately he seemed to be becoming even more outrageous with this plan for Kingdom Hearts, seeing that it was, unfortunately, becoming closer to being fulfilled.
She was moving through the halls much faster than normal, something in her was telling her today was going to be abnormal. She knocked twice before opening the door.
âNamine Iâm sorry that...Oh goodness, you have a guest.â Olix gasped looking to the new person within the room. She had seen this girl before, it was actually one that Axel had kidnapped, âAre you all right?â
The young girl immediately flinched away, pushing Namine behind her as Olix stepped forward.
âKairi, Olix wonât hurt us.â
âKairi?â Olix echoed, as she kept her position away from the two young girls, not wanting to frighten. âYou must be the Princess of Light.â She fought to roll her eyes, she wasnât certain if it was Xemnas or his âSuperiorâ that had preferred these ridiculous nicknames.
âYou know me?â Kairi inquired, as Olix nodded softly. âDo you know where Sora and Riku are?â
âThe real ones, no I donât,â Olix replied, before adding. âIâm sorry that youâve all been dragged into this fight.â
Kairi stepped forward at Namineâs pull, reaching out to take Olixâs hand. Only for Kairiâs eyes to widen as she looked to the taller woman, âYouâre not like the others.â
Olix smiled warmly to the redhead, âNo, I guess Iâm not.âÂ
Namine stepped beside them, âOlix will help us out. Sheâs amazing.âÂ
Kairi turned to Olix with wide eyes, hope in her eyes, âYou will? Youâll help us find, Sora and Riku?â
Olix rested a hand on that red hair, âI will help you the best I can. But first, we need to get out of this room.â
Olix peeked out the room, turning back towards the two young girls behind her holding each other hand a smaller version of her crystal held between the clasped hands, âBoth of you keep a hold of that crystal and stay close to me, also keep quiet. I donât think that weâll run into anyone but itâs better safe than sorry.â
The woman turned around to start through the castle, only to gasp as she felt a hand within her own, looking down to find Kairi holding it tightly.Â
âThank you.â
âDonât thank me just yet. I still havenât gotten you out of here.â
Going through the twist and turns of the castle, Olix found that the Castle was surprisingly empty. She could tell from the growing golden heart in the sky that Xemnas was more than likely further up and that Saix wouldnât be that far away from their leader.
At least she had hoped until she turned the corner, and found the man waiting for her. Quickly pushing back the smaller ones behind her, she felt the familiar tingle of her own phasing, yet it wasnât of her doing.
âThere you are.â Saix hissed, the two never really seen eye to eye, but she could tell that he was starting to mistrust her for quite some time. âWhere are they?â
Olix pressed her lips, a soft glare at the man, âYou will have to be more specific, I have not seen the others in quite some time.â She moved slowly, each movement was measured, making absolutely certain that Kairi and Namine stayed behind her. âPerhaps one of the others know what you want.â
Saix growled, âYouâve become rather full of yourself have you not.â
âNo more than yourself.â Olix hissed, her hand holding the invisible hand of Kairi tugged the two behind her out of a striking range for the other. âNow, excuse me.â
She hardly had time to register the man before her, blocking Saixâs attack aimed for her. The woman reached out before she had realized, taking a hold of the shoulder before her, her other hand firm on Kairiâs as she teleported them away from Saix.
Landing in a flash of light, Olix removed her spell from Kairi and Namine, as she turned to the man before her, he looked fairly similar to Xemnas, but the flash of a real form showed that it was someone much younger. If anyone was good at illusions it was herself.
âRiku!â Kairi gasped running towards the other, embracing him tightly.
âRiku.â Namine echoed softly.
Olix turned to the young blonde finding her becoming more and more transparent, reaching up she found tears falling from her eyes.
âOlix,â Namine smiled, âPlease donât cry, now that Rikuâs here everything will be fine.â
âNamine?â Kairi called noticing the other fading. âWhatâs happening?â
âIâm sorry, but everything will be fine now.â Namine replies before turning to look to Olix beside her. âPlease take care of them. I wanted to do good like you.â
Olix knelt as she found herself embracing Namine tightly, âYou are so amazing. You make me so proud. This will not be the last time we see each other.â She whispered, only for her hug to tighten as Namine hugged her back. âI promise.â
Namine let out a sob as she clung tighter to Olix, âThank you.â
Olix tried holding the other tighter, trying to anchor some part of Namine with her, only to let out a cry, as she felt the other disappear. A sniff leaving her as she felt a hand on her shoulder, turning to find Kairi there, tears within her eyes as well, only to gasp as she felt Kairi embrace her.
âIâm sorry,â Kairi whispered in her ear.
Olix wiped her tears before smiling softly, âNo, no it wasnât your fault, Namine knew this would happen.â She called, drying Kairiâs tears before standing, taking Kairiâs hand, âCome, I wasnât able to teleport us far. We still have to find Sora.â
Riku stepped forward, sharp gold eyes not his own on the woman before him, âArenât you on their side?â
Olix shook her head, âNo.â
Riku turned to Kairi standing beside the woman, âAre you sure?â
Olix smiled as she stepped towards him, âIt took a while for me to figure it out, but I assure you that I am on your side.â
This seemed to assure the other, as they began to follow her through the twist and turns. Only to find themselves surrounded by heartless rather suddenly.
âRiku, can you please provide Kairi a keyblade?â Olix called, her crystal ball floating around her, only to duplicate into four more.
âBut I canât use one.â Kairi protested.
âYouâd be surprised as to what powers you hold, little one.â
With the Heartless around them disbursed for the moment, everyone was suddenly shocked to find Sora had appeared. Staying away from the group bonding moment, Olix watched as she saw quite a few flashes go over the other of others she had come across before they settled on the boy before her.
âWho is she!?â Sora barked, his keyblade in hand, only suddenly now realizing that Olix was indeed there.
Olix couldnât help but smile, âI see where Roxas got that fiery attitude.âÂ
âIâm not Roxas! Why does everyone keep saying that!â Sora growled.
Olix blinked, âOf course you are not, you may share similarities but you and Roxas are as different as day and night.â This seemed to take the other back.Â
Kairi moved to stand beside Olix taking the womanâs hand moving her over to the others, âSora, Olix helped us get this far. Sheâs on our side. She even rescued me.â
Sora looked to the woman across from him, âReally? Well, she does seem like a nice person.â
Olix giggled as she rested her free hand on his head, âWe should get going?â
âBut I have to find Xemnas.â
This actually took her back, âWhy would you need that?â
âIâm going to stop him from creating Kingdom Hearts.â Sora replied rather matter of factly.
Olix stumbled over her words completely unprepared for the bluntness of the other, âAre you certain?â
âYep.â
Olix turned to Kairi and Riku expecting for the two to maybe attempt to talk their friend out of it but instead found them also determined to assist in any way.
She wanted to talk them out of it but seeing that Xemnas had not only affect herself and the others within the castle, but the man had also uprooted the lives of these children, getting them into a fight that her sister had wish to stop in the first place.
âWell then, shall we get going?â
It was the younger ones that were left speechless this time.
As Olix lead them up to Xemnas she had expected for this to happen. Saix was left and she knew that the others needed all their strength for Xemnas. So when her hand found the hood of Sora outfit and her tossing the young key blade holder out the way of Saixâs barrier along with the others being blown out she didnât even think twice.
âWait Olix!â Kairi called hands pressed against the barrier separating them.
âGet going! Iâll handle this.â Olix called eight of her orbs appearing before splinting into hundreds of diamond shards, as she glanced over her shoulder to the three children . âIâll catch up with you.â
âThey wonât get far.â Saix stayed, drawing her attention back to him. âYou wonât be able to defeat Xemnas.â
âI wonât need to,â Olix replied dropping into a defensive position, her shards straighten into an attack pose. âThey will.â
With words over, their battle began. Saix was fast, but she had expected for him to be. Time after time that claymore smashed through the defensive shards. Only to have more take its place, Olix wasnât a bruiser by any means, but she was just fast enough to avoid serious damage.
Still, she refused to back down as the weapon again and again narrowly missed her, and in the off chances from time to time actually stuck her. Violet's eyes widen as she heard that howl and Saix transform.
â...berserkerâŚâ She muttered weakly, only to find Saix quickly upon her. Barely managing to get a defensive wall up to avoid a straight hit. She knew she needed to end this and now!
Releasing her defense the woman rushes the other, his claymore raised before coming down. Only for Olix to phase at that exact moment, any later and more than just her hair would have been cut off in the attack.
âIâm sorry, Isa,â Olix called.
The man faltered, snapped from his berserker state, âWhatâŚâ
Olix smiled softly, âYou and Lea also got stuck in this mess, Iâm sorry.â
Saix only now realized that both of them were completely surrounded by hundreds if not thousands of Olixâs shards. He closed his eyes as he resigned when they snapped open to find that Olix had placed her hand on his looking to him with a sad smile.
âFoolish.â He muttered as the crystals fell. Yet he didnât feel Olix phase from his grip. Only when the bright light faded from her all-out attack on the both of them stand there battered and bruised, only still standing from shock alone.
âHeâs waiting for you too,â Olix muttered to the man, both too weak to even fall forward.
âWhy did you stay?â
âTime goes on with or without me, but you have a place.â She explained tears falling from her eyes. âIâve always been on borrowed time.â
âSo you sacrificed yourself for them?â
âAnd you didnât?â
They both stayed silent for a moment before Olix giggled.
âYou have to get back to him, Isa. He misses you too.â Olix called.
Her only response was the sound of the nobody disappearing. Only now noticing that the both of them were what was keeping the other standing. And with the man to keep her upright, she found herself slamming to the hard ground, unable to catch herself even if she wanted. She laid there body feeling torn apart she wondered if she would fade away the same. She wasnât a nobody, she didnât have a somebody to go back to.
She felt her eyes close as resigned herself to an unknown.
We havenât met, I still need to thank you, hold on for me a little longer, Olix.
Location: Unknown
â...ix, Olix please.â
Olix opened her eyes finding herself without pain. She blinked a few times before noticing the distorted forms before her. Only realizing that they looked that way because there was a glass between herself and whoever it was on the other side.
As the light tinted blue glass rose, she clenched her eyes shut it was much brighter outside.Â
âOlix?â
Olix opened her eyes finding the young girl before her, watching as blonde faded to red. âKairi?â
Kairi let out a squeak as Olix stumbled out the tube she was in, only to find a black glove arm had reached out catching the woman before she could stumble any further.
âCareful there.â
Olix followed the long limb up as she stared in confusion before smiling, âLea.â
The red head man chuckled, âArenât you the smart one.â
âAre you both okay?â Olix asked as the other helped her stand up and steady on her feet.
âWe should be asking you.âÂ
Olix turned to the voice only to find three more people placed back together. âIenzo, Dillan, Aeleus, youâre all okay. â
âHow are you feeling?â Ienzo inquired.
âIâm fine thanks to you.â She smiled, only to find a look of confusion from everyone.Â
âWe didnât do anything,â Kairi explained. âMaster Yen Sid said you appeared and asked Axel and myself to take you here.â
Olix turned to the red head man, âStill by Axel?â
âOnly to a few.âÂ
Olix nodded her understanding, âIt must have been Lio then.â
âLio? Whoâs that?â
âThe easiest way would be to say that she is my somebody.â Olix attempted checking herself over, nothing appeared out of place, she wasnât fading or anything dramatic like that, her borrowed time was expired just yet.
âBut wouldnât you have returned to her?â
Olix shook her head, âExplaining her as my somebody is the simplest way to describe it, but in reality, I was never a Nobody. I was created to be my own being, to watch after everything until Lio could return.â
Axel looked towards the woman, âWhat happens to you when this Lio person shows up.â
âHopefully all this will be over.â
-
âKairi, that was much better!â Olix cheered.
As Xehanort had gone into hiding for the time being, while Sora went after Riku and Mickey to find Aqua, Olix found her best case of action would be to assist Kairi and Axel in handling their Keyblades. Taking over their training for the time being, Kairi wasnât use to fighting but she showed amazing progress in getting used to a style that fit her. While Axel wasnât completely use to the new form of his weapon. Yet in the battle ahead they would need everyoneâs help.
So when they were suddenly called back to Yen Sid to find that they had two more it was more than welcomed so that the light had just a little more against the darkness.
âHere they are.â Yen Sid called.
Olix watched as two pairs of blue eyes turned to her, recognizing some of the similarities that she had shared with Lio only to find that she wasnât who they expected.
âIâm Olix, itâs nice to finally meet you Aqua, Ventus.â She attempted to explain, âI am Lioâs um...her fill in until she can come back.â
âCome back?â Aqua inquired the shorter woman. âIs she all right?â
âShe is healing.â Olix stayed quickly attempting to calm the other. âBut now that your tethers have both returned she will too. I know sheâll be hundreds of times more excited to see both of you than me.â
âYouâve never explained who exactly this Lio is,â Axel stated. âLooks like everyone knows but us.â
Olix blinked large eyes, âI didnât, Iâm sorry considering that youâre all Keyblade Keepers now you should all begin to be aware of your Luminary.â
âOur Luminary, whatâs that?â Sora asked
Olix thought for a moment before realizing all eyes were on herself. âOh Iâm sorry, I promise Iâm not trying to ignore you, itâs just the last time I said that I was an over-glorified mage I wasâŚâ
âCasting spells for a week?â Aqua finished for her.
Olix smiled softly to the other, âSometimes I slip up with her memories. I know sheâll be happy to see so many of you.â
Ventus stepped forward, âDo you know where she is? Maybe we can go get her.â
âUnfortunately not, when I hid Lio I, in turn, removed her location from my mind so that Xehanort wouldnât be able to find her.â
âIs there a reason that he would want her?â Riku inquired.
âTo active Kingdom Hearts. A Luminary can start the activation if they arenât strong enough if the right person uses them.â Olix explained, âIt was a reason as to why Master Eris attempted to hide her the first time. The more a Luminary has to protect the more powerful they are.â
âSo this all-powerful Luminary is just gonna show up and save the day?â Axel replied.
Olix shrugged, âIt depends on how strong she has become. She has been fighting for a long time.â
âWill Lio be able to defeat Xehonart?â Riku asked.
âLio maybe strong enough magically but sheâs been asleep for so long. It could take her body years to even catch up, without her tearing herself apart.â
At this Yen Sidâs office lite up brightly as something flew overhead and then crashed just outside rattling the structure and knocking a few things not nailed down off shelves and his desk.
âWhat was that?!â Sora called crouched over Kairi while Riku huddled over the both of them.
âOnly one way to figure out,â Axel growled, his keyblade appearing in hand, along with the others in the room.
Coming outside to find a figure standing from the crash landing. Turning to the groupâŚ
Ch. 7 â*~~~*â
Location:Â Luminary City, Stella Umbra
âIâm sorry I placed so much on you.â
Olix stared at the figure before her, only a silhouette but it stood taller than herself and appeared so sad. Seeing a gold strand going from the where the silhouette's heart would be, violet eyes following it to her own.
âWho are you?â
âI wish I could tell you, but that would hurt you even more.â The person replied. âAre you safe, please know that I want you safe before anything else?â
âAre you my somebody?â Olix asked stepping forward, noticing that the silhouette matched her movements.
âNo,â The other replied, only to give a soft laugh, âBecause you arenât a Nobody, or a Heartless. You are Olix.â
âThan why am I with the Organization?â
âThat I donât know, I only requested that you look after Ventus until he was awakened. I never would have thought that Ven would be split even further. That Roxas looks pretty close donât you think?â
Olix seemed taken back, âYou know Roxas?â
âAnd Xion, Sora, Riku, Kairi, everyone you have met I have met.â The figure replied motioning towards the string connecting the two of their hearts. âWe have a much bigger group than originally thought up. Which only means we have more to protect.â
Olix watched as nine more silhouettes surrounded them, all but three seemed familiar, but there were no ill intentions form any of them. Turning she felt the original person she had been speaking to take her hand, watching in confusion as the darkness began flicking off the other giving them an almost wispy like appearance but she still couldnât place direct features.
âAre you sure that you still wish to help? I have no strength further to give as I will have to start to heal myself.â
Olix looked down to the warm hand holding her own, the other stated that they were not the others Nobody or Heartless, but she felt so connected, and she wanted to help. â...yes. I want to help.â
âThank you, I can only ask that you please be stronger for just a little longer, and Iâll come to you as soon as I am able.âÂ
Olix smiled, âIâll be waiting Big Sister.â Olix did manage to see the bright smile from the other being despite her foggy appearance.
âI trust in you, I will never be too far away.â The other smiled, embracing her tightly before her vision filled with light.
Location: Castle that never was
When Olix awoke in the bright white room, she already knew that a lot of time had passed. Stumbling from her bed, she felt herself standing more firm, more determined. Her body no longer working on autopilot, she had a mission and she was determined to see it through. While details were still extremely vague she now knew she had a purpose.
Moving into the hallways, she phased before even the body could touch her.
âOlix youâre back.â Demyx gasped, a shiver running through him at the woman moving through.
Olix looked to the other before nodding, Demyx was the best person to run into. The other couldnât hold water even if he wanted to, âDemyx, what happened while I was gone?â
Demyx scratched the back of his head, âWell Xemnas brought you back, but you were out cold. We were told not to disturb you. You were out for a long time.â
Olix already knew this she just needed a little bit more information, âWas there anything I missed?â
âNot that I know of, still getting Kingdom Hearts for the big guy. We moved a lot of people over to Castle Oblivion.â
âCastle Oblivion, why is that?â
âDonât really know, but thereâs a little girl there.â
Olix nodded softly, âThank you, Iâll follow up with Saix.â
âUh, yeah sure,â Demyx called as she turned and left.
Instead, Olix opened a portal, disappearing between the white flash before closing it behind herself.
She found that sneaking around was a little easier as most of the others assumed that she was on a solo mission from Xemnas as the other gave her a wide amount of freedom. Yet in all honesty, she was gathering information, she had found only parts of the others, in order to make certain that the other being could properly find her way back see need more of a signal, a bigger one. Like one of the beingâs Keyblade Wielders, but they were so scattered. Roxas could have worked, but again Axel seemed to be rather protective of the other.
When inquiring about Xion she found herself met with blank stares and confusion. It was as if the young Nobody suddenly ceased to exist at all. She knew the other was a figment but it seemed that everyone was determined to make her believe that the other never exist, and maybe Xion didnât exist to them but to herself, she knew for sure that the little one was just another tragedy in this twisted game that was being played, and it wasnât fair, she was going to find a way to bring her back as well.
So when she stumbled upon Axel and Roxas in an argument about Roxas leaving to find himself, she could help but step in. Watching as Axel moved to attack Roxas only to be halted in mid-strike.
âRoxas.â
Both men turned to the woman, holding her orb in hand was it glow brightly, both knowing that she was the one that stopped Axel.
âAre you leaving as well?â She inquired.
Roxas turned towards the woman his keyblade summoned, âAre you going to try and stop me too?â
Olix stepped forward watching the blonde move back, almost frightened, removing a hand from her Orb as she rested it on his head, âMy lost one, you have so much anger in you. I hope that one day youâll find a way to let it go.â
Roxas stared at the woman as she gave him such a sad smile, âWhat are you doing?â
Olix removed the hand from his head as she waved it away from him, âThis will take you to Twilight Town, do be safe. Once you leave I will not be able to protect or follow you any further. Please be safe until we are reunited.â
Roxas gave the woman a stern look, before his gaze when to Axel than towards the portal, âNo one will miss me.â
Both turned to Axel, as the red head man called loudly still held in Olixâs spell, âItâs not true!â
Roxas spared one last glance to the two before disappearing into the portal.
Olix sealed the portal with a wave of her hand, followed by releasing Axel, her orb still in hand as she approached the much taller man, her stride never faulting as she bypassed the other to return back to the castle.
âWhy would you let him do that!? Theyâre going to kill him!â
Olix stopped for just a moment, âThan why didnât you tell him what you really wanted to say?â
âWhat?â
âYouâll miss him, wonât you?â
Axel summoned a Chakram, as he growled deeply at her back, âWhat are you talking about? Iâm not going to play your silly games.â
âNext time why donât you tell him how you really feel? It would be a lighter burden on his heart.â She smiled over her shoulder. âAs well as your own.â
âYouâre really starting to piss me off!â Axel barked his weapon going up in flames.
âYou will see him again, Axel.â She replied turning back around, creating another portal. âBoth of them.â
With that she stepped through, leaving the other man to his thoughts.
Location: Keyblade Graveyard
âBut whereâs she going?â Demyx whined. Both he and Xigbar were tasked with following Olix as the other was disappearing for bouts of time and not providing Saix with any of the information she was supposedly gathering.Â
Even when Saix point-blank inquired about her disappearances, Olix stared him directly in the eye stating that it was none of his concern. From their first interaction, everyone knew that Olix could handle her own against the other, but something happened that made the soft spoken woman suddenly change.
âIf you keep your mouth shut we can figure it out.â
Both men watched as she walked through this barren wasteland of dirt and keyblades, her footfalls and body movement ever cautious of where she was at any given moment, careful to never touch any of the blades. Sometimes taking a moment to lift one up again that had fallen over due to wind or time.. Her violet eyes looking for something, constantly turning around and quickly rushing around hills and piles of dirt, only to seem dejected when she didnât find what she was looking for.
She went around another corner only for the two to suddenly hear a clash and the woman gasp before being thrown back. Almost slamming into one of the cliffâs rock face, before flipping rather elegantly bouncing from the wall before landing on the ground, raising a hand to summon her orb.
No sooner did the orb appear in hand did a suit of gold and red armor appear, a large keyblade in hand, moving to swing on her.
âBe still, please,â Olix called, as the armor froze in place, keyblade still raised to strike, body levitating from the jump it preformed. âIâm sorry Iâm not her.â She smiled watching as the armor struggled to lower its arm. âOh sorry, Iâm sorry.â She called waving her hand as her spell became undone as the armor landed.
The armor lowered itâs keyblade, staring to the woman before them in silence, as she reached out taking the hand holding the weapon with a soft smile.
âSo many pieces of you are scattered. If I had known soonerâŚâ Olix muttered softly, only to look up as she felt the gloved heavy hand on her head, reassuring her, her own hold on itâs hand tightened.
âMy sister will return to you soon, I hope that you can still hear her voice. She wonât rest until she gets you back to you, all of you.â
The armor gave nod, removing its hand from her head before turning and walking away. Olix watched as the armor left her alone, a soft smile on her face as she held her orb close to her chest. Only for the violet eyes to turn where Xigbar and Demyx were standing, a soft smile on her face as she turned opening a white portal.
âDo you think she knew we were here?â Demyx inquired, looking around.
âNo doubt about it. It seems that she knows more than she lets on.â Xigbar replied as he moved over to the portal she left open. Reaching out a hand to touch the white light only for it to repeal him immediately.Â
âThat doesnât look like the normal portal,â Demyx stated, going to touch it next only to be kicked back as well.
âLooks like Saix was right.â Xigbar chuckled, opening his own portal before stepping through. âOlix just made things interesting.â
âRight about what?â Demyx called only to be ignored as he too rushed through the portal after the other man.
Ch. 6 â*~~~*â
Location: Castle that Never Was
There was something about the Organization that deeply confused Olix, she couldnât exactly place her finger on it. Yet the more time she spent existing with them the more the feeling nagged and lingered around her. Most of the members she didnât feel so strongly or indifferent towards, but at the same time she felt drawn to them.
Such as Marulixa and Larxenze, she knew they were plotting against Xemnas, their actions never seeming pure to the man but she never acted on it. It wasnât her right to provide that information and she was never requested to give it so she kept silent about it.
She preferred to stay clear of Xigbar and Luxord, something about the men made images of a sun being overshadowed by a moon, an eclipse of darkness taking over something so wonderful and bright. Such as a night sky void of stars.
Vexen, Zexion, Luxord, and Xaladin all seemed to be living lives that were just repeats, ghosts stuck in motions from long ago. Despite a passion being there, there was no emotion, no feeling, no heart behind it.
She enjoyed Demyxâs carefree attitude but she knew that he was hiding something. Something she did not care to go after.
There was also Saix, she seemed drawn to him for some reason other than constantly being forced at Xemnasâs side and often within his company. The duo often spent quite some time together, she always felt the lingering gaze of the man that did not trust her, that was wary of her. It was the same gaze he often gave Xion and Roxas. One of longing to be with them, or perhaps be them.
Xion and Roxas were two of the only being she did not become wary of, they were sweet, reminding her of a person she knew long ago, or maybe it was a dream of someone she knew. She wished to get close to them but Axel often made it difficult. She didnât feel the same gaze that Saix gave her when she was with Xemnas, but it was cautious as if he were worried about the two younger ones.
She was never allowed to get close to them either way, as Xemnas often kept her away from them, she never understood why. Yet then again Xemnas was one of the strangest, he treated her very fragile, often times she would see a linger in his eye for something she couldnât see, perhaps a memory that also did not belong to him.
A few times he seemed to have slipped when calling for her, a womanâs name that made Olix freeze in her steps, only to realize that it was not her own, but she couldnât help but respond to it.Â
âOlix.âÂ
The rough familiar voice of Saix called to her as she had just returned from a recon mission with Demyx. âYes?â
âXemnas wishes to see you.â The golden eyes glared to her, it often sent the others in fear, but she saw the sadness behind them too many times to be frightened. âNow.â
âYes, of course. I can have my paperwork finished afterward.â She didnât care to get on Saixâs bad side often, even though their first interaction she was able to stop him with no troubles.
âNumber 8 will follow up,â Saix stated, getting a groan from Demyx. âGo now.â
Olix gave Demyx an apologetic gaze before whisking herself away, as she moved through the empty halls she just barely managed to faze her way through Xigbar hanging from the ceiling. âPardon me.â
âOh where are you into a rush to?â Xigbar chuckled, getting over the fact that she had moved through him, a sensation no one got comfortable with when she did it.
âXemnas has requested me.â
âOh the big boss, he sure does like you.â Xigbar stated.
âHow so?â Olix inquired, normally not one to get into a conversation with Xigbar as he often made her uncomfortable for some reason.
âOne on one time. Itâs so sweet that he treats you better.â Xigbar chuckled, his single eye staring down to her from the ceiling. Only for the man to jump down and proceed the way she had just came. âWell, I took up too much of your time already and you donât want to keep the boss. Have fun on your date.â
Olix didnât even wait for him to walk away as she turned moving to where Xemnas was waiting. Xigbar constantly made her skin crawl, but for some reason that scar to his cheek made a smile come to her face all too often.
âYou wish to see me?â Olix inquired stepping into the room where Xemnas was waiting. seeing him staring up toward the dark sky.
âYes,â Xemnas called turning towards her, noting the way she was looking towards him, trying to find something there. âYou mission how did it go?â
Olix blinked, he would get the report from Saix. That is if Demyx actually did his job for once. âWe had no troubles.â
âDid you meet the Keyblade Wielder?â
âKeyblade Wielder?â Olix questioned, only to see a flash before her eyes. âYes, he seems to the one creating Kingdom Hearts for you.â
âYes, did you run into any other Wielders?â He asked stepping towards her, noting that those violet eyes were staring into his own deeply, she was trying to find something that he had buried a long time ago.
âNone other.â Olix stated, only to turn as she noticed that he had opened a portal.
âThere is something I wish to show you,â Xemnas stated, moving through the portal, knowing that Olix would follow him no problem.
As Olix stepped from the portal the woman glanced around, where ever Xemnas has taken her was underground as there were no windows to see through, nor any light within the room not cast from the lights above despite a few seeming to flicker.
âAre you familiar with where we are?â Xemnas called, as Olix turned to him.
âI can not say that I am,â Olix replied, her eyes drifting from him only to widen at the item behind her.
A mash of blues and silver, upon closer look she realized that it was armor, and a keyblade. One that looked so familiar but she knew that the only ones she had seen were the ones that Roxas and Xion could produce and this Keyblade looked nothing like theirs. The ones they produced were defaults, ones yet to mature, this Keyblade had grown with someone, it belongs to someone.
âWho is this?â Olix asked before realizing that she had said anything or that she had even approached the armor. A shaky hand went out to touch the Keyblade only to suddenly find herself overcome with fear as she pulled back afraid of the outcome.Â
When she realized that Xemnas hadnât respond, she turned only to gasp as she narrowly avoid a red light. Lifting her hands as she summoned her weapon, a glass orb managing to deflect the second swing, and getting distance only to stumble over the armor, a flash of something across her vision causing her to react to slow to Xemnasâs hand which found its way around her neck.
âDo you not recall your old friend?â Xemnas inquired, as Olix reached up to lessen the hold on her neck. Xemnas didnât squeeze but he held her firm in place.
Olix stared in confusion, this all felt familiar. As if it happened before, but not to herself.
âI will ask you this one Olix,â Xemnas hissed. âWhere is the Luminary, Lio?â
Olix blinked, that was the name he called out to in a voice that wasnât his own, but why did he want to know. She had no idea who or what a Luminary was. Nor what connection it had to this armor. She had no idea what it had to do with her, but Xemnas believed that she had some type of connection.
Xemnas glared at the woman, he kept her close at the request of the others. He has been waiting for her to make the mistake of slipping up and revealing where Lio was. Of becoming so comfortable with Roxas or Xion that she would be able to display a way of getting Kingdom Hearts sooner, where others had failed. To provide some missing part.
Yet the woman before him, despite having similarities to the Luminary that had gone missing, was just a blank canvas. Still, that tug he hadnât felt since his last interaction with the Keyblade Wielders protector suddenly sparked again once Olix appeared. Was he wrong in thinking that this woman before him was the Luminaryâs Nobody?
Frustrated he released the woman, watching her collapse to the ground her hand brushed against the helmet of the armor, only for tears to spring to her eyes.Â
He watched as Olix slowly reached out, taking the helmet within her hands, as she rose it to look into the vision. Recognizing something that he himself could not see, as she closed her eyes resting her forehead against the forehead of the armor with a soft sob of,
âSheâs one.â
Xemnas went to question her again only to find Olix had fainted when the helmet fell from her hand to rest in her lap. Even now she protected them.

Ch. 5 â*~~~*â
Location: Castle Oblivion
Empty halls of pure white seemed so different than the flash of memories that she had seen before that didnât belong to her. She found herself arrived here not long ago, but the halls were always empty. An uncomfortable quiet that would sometimes be interrupted by the sounds of ghosts from the past, and suddenly there were voices, so many different voices echoing through the corridors.
Flashes of black and magic often found themselves there, but they did not belong here, at least the tiny voice of memories told her that they did not. She did not scare them away but watch cautiously from afar.
She wasnât aware if even she, herself belonged there. Just one day she awoken there, with no memories only a tiny voice echoing in her head of the same conversation repeated time and time again. Still, she found herself drawn to those voices, many of them sounded so sad and lost. So she decided her best case of action was to follow them.
Location: Castle that Never Was
When the portal reopened within the room, it had set everyone on defense as a woman appeared within the familiar cloaks of the rest of the organization. Unlike the others, this one was altered in the collar, but the hood stayed on as the person stepped from the portal leading to the Corridor of Darkness.
âWe looking for a new recruit?â Xigbar chuckled.
âIâve never seen them before.â Demyx replied, only to squeal as the person approached him, head cocked slightly to the side as they leaned towards him.
âYou are not the one.â A female voice called from inside the cloak, as she turned away.
âWould you care to tell us who you are, young lady?â Luxord inquired, as she turned to him, her hood still in place.
âYou are not the one. Do you know them?â She inquired leaned towards Luxord, only to move away as he tried to glance underneath her hood.
âShe annoying me.â Larxene hissed as she tossed a knife toward the womanâs head. Believing that she struck the target correctly, only to instead remove the hood with her shot.Â
Showing a woman with violet eyes, dark brown hair with two pink streaks going back. A beauty mark on the left bottom side of her lips. Her eyes locking with Larxene, âYou are not the one.â She replied continuing her gaze upon the others in the room, only to stumble suddenly.
âCan you say anything else?â Xigbar chuckled, watching her look down to her shoulder seeing one of his arrows from where he had shot her. Watching in shock with the rest of the room as she barely grazed the hilt of the arrow watching as it removed itself from her arm, staring at it in confusion before moving towards the man, only to back up suddenly with a look of confusion. âWho are you?â
âI have no reason to answer, I am searching for the one.â She explained, only to let out a soft gasp as a lance went through her head. Turning to Xaladin as she cocked her head to the side. âYou are not the one either.â
The entire room drew their weapons as she stood still, her gaze traveling from person to person, seeming to get more and more defeated with each pass. When those violet eyes suddenly widen as she disappeared then reappeared before Roxas and Xion.
âGet away from them!â Axel barked, tossing his chakrams at the woman, only to stare in confusion as she lifted her hand stopping them in their place before returning them to Axelâs hand. âWhat are youâŚâ
Everyone watched as she raised her hands, placing them both on Roxasâs and Xionâs head with a soft smile, âMy lost ones, she will find you soon.â
Everyoneâs gaze went from her to the doors as a new person entered the room, finding Xemnas and Saix appear when all eyes turned to the black blur racing across the room towards Xemnas.
âYouâŚâ She called, her steps quicken as she moved toward the men.
âStay back.â Saix hissed, only to find the woman had simply moved through him, going towards Xemnas.
A loud growl echoed the room as Saix rose his claymore in berserk mode, aiming for the woman's throat.Â
âBe still.â She called, as he froze in place, only inches from her throat. Her view never going to him as she stepped before Xemnas well within striking range, her violet eyes scanning him over.
All other weapons raised toward the woman, ready to defend Xemnas, when they found themselves also frozen in place by her spell.
Tears appeared within her eyes, as she reached up touching her own face, seeming to be just as confused about them appearing as the others.
âAre you sad?â
She looked up towards Xemnas, her tears still falling, âThey are not my tears.â
Xemnas gave an affirmative noise in the back of his throat, âYou have no memories.â He stated matter of factly, watching as her tear-filled eyes continued to scan him only to widen.
âYou are a part.â
Xemnas chuckled softly, âWelcome Olix.âÂ
âIt seems that Eris failed.â
âLioâs too weak to be much of a threat now.â
âConsidering how she was not only able to hide Ventus from us, as well as the command she has over The Gaurdian it would be best if we donât allow her to run free.â
The two men glanced towards each other before looking to the Luminary at their feet. In time Lio would regain her strength but they couldnât get rid of her. Some small part of them wouldnât allow them to just kill her. So instead they decided the best case of action.
To keep this annoying pain in the heart, close.
âSilence her!â Ansem growled, seeming to have a tough time getting Terra under control.
Lio managed to dodge pass Xemnas racing toward Terra, only to be stopped her tracks as Xemnas appeared before her again, his hand going to her mouth as she stared in horror at the Guardian being restrained than disappear along with his link to her. She turned eyes to Xemnas, going to glare when she saw it, those yellow eyes turn blue for just a moment and that familiar voice.
âLio, Iâm so sorry.â~
