I know this isn’t anything surprising, but there’s a genuinely creepy subtext surrounding the main villains in Kingdom Hearts. The protagonists are all naïve, innocent kids, while the villains are adults who manipulate them, use them to achieve their own goals, or outright deny them bodily autonomy. This is especially prominent in Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days. The villains quite literally don’t give a f about the fact that they’re children
