Staring at a ticking clock,

The world outside, a muffled fog.

Anticipating for something to begin

Something to jolt the stillness within.

My mind, a stagnant abode

My body, on standby mode

A prisoner to this slow routine,

A muted, monotonous scene.

No pings, phone silently still

Too much fleeting time to kill

Minutes crawl at a turtles pace

An unseen line marks off my space

Paper thin and fragile like lace

A barrier others can't see

A line only witnessed by me

Like police caution tape

In a bright yellow shade

A signal so visually loud

"Keep back, no one's allowed"

Within this yellow bordered territory

Where Me, Myself and I is the the priority

An area to relax and be judgement free
