[♔]  “Hm?  This is…”  A slightly perplexed voice comes from bespectacled young man. Now just who could have sent this?  Putting the basket of chocolate hearts to the side for now, George sat down and glanced over the card without a signature curiously.  Turning the card over, thin black brows raise slightly —The childish doodle on the back of the card answers his questions so easily George couldn’t help but chuckle quietly and crack a smile over his younger cousin’s gesture.

”Thank you, Maria-chan.” Carefully sliding the card into his coat pocket, George took a chocolate hearts from the basket and popped it into his mouth; his smiling emerald eyes returning to a book he had been reading to pass the time for now.  He would definitely have to remember to treat her to something nice whenever he ran into her in town. Now what did girls at that age like again…?

As a harsh winter night's wind blew George's coat swayed gently to and fro as he continued his lonesome stroll under the silver moon. It almost felt completely desolate. Even the resident night-owls, who, perhaps terrified by the repeated cases of foul play in this particular area of Hive city obeyed the appeal to self-imposed curfews and were submissively drawn into their homes and places of sanctuary. Even the shadows of cars disappeared from the road's surface. It truly felt like he was the only thing left alive in this place.  However he is not alone on this empty street. There is someone else just up the road. Someone he knew well enough that even if there were no moon or streetlights to illuminate their silhouette he would still be able to identify them.

Eventually coming to a stop he said nothing; made absolutely no unnecessary movements to attract her attention and only stared at the back of young girl,.....no rather the being who appeared to be a young girl adorned in an ornate violet dress far too out of place for such a chilly season with wintery green irises.

She was... undoubtedly the woman he had killed in that demon's game as a sacrifice for the sake of his love with Sayo succeeding. Also the very first person in the entire world to ever love him -- who had given everything she could for George to grow into a wonderful man and eventually have a future so radiant that all the lights in sky would look dull in comparison.

Ushiromiya Eva...his mother. 

Oddly enough he didn't seem particularly surprised to see her here  though he certainly felt something seeing her once more.  Was it happiness? Remorse? Relief? Or was he simply anxious?  Who else besides George Ushiromiya could possibly know and answer questions that resided in his heart? 

Making his presence known George would calmly speak in a tone that conveyed neither the hostility of an enemy nor the warmth one should naturally expect from their beloved child. After all, he had already resolved himself to surpass any childish emotions he may have had long ago and spoke calmly as the self-controlled man he had become after throwing away their bond as mother and son.

Have We Met?

He’s silent, gazing at this one’s visage.  At first glance it was difficult to discern whether this person was a boy or a girl due to their rather androgynous appearance. Well, in the end that wasn’t really important to George in the first place so he stopped wondering about their gender altogether.

What was more important, and far more crucial to him, was that they also bore the Ushiromiya family crest on the left side of their pants and collar. The unwritten law was that only those born under the name Ushiromiya were allowed bear the family crest which of course meant that not only this person was but they were his blood-related relative.  Needless to say this caused George, who had never even once met with this person during any of the annual family conferences, a considerable amount confusion. And…even more important than that. There was something else about them. Something that made him feel that believing he had never met them was extremely wrong.

He couldn’t put his finger on it, but something told him that was absolute. How odd.

What an unpleasant situation...

Simply saying he was 'lost' was a bit of an understatement, but lost was a good way to summarize Ushiromiya George's current predicament.  But well priorities, and first thing's first, he should find his so-called housing, work out his current situation, and decide what to do from here on.  Gently tapping the shoulder of the blue-haired youth beside him to get his attention, George gave a polite if not somewhat troubled smile.  

[♔] "Pardon me. Do you think you can you tell me where I can find this 'District Alpha'. It's unfortunate, but it seems they didn't care to provide me with a map when I arrived here. .....Just pointing me in the right direction will be fine." He somehow manages to force out a laughing voice in spite of finding his current situation the furthest thing from laughable.  However that only made him feel all the more miserable.

It was truly a disheartening sight seeing a child without their parents this late at night. To make matters worse, not only was she all alone, she wasn't even wearing any attire that would protect her from the cold of night. Clad only in a shabby red dress she seemed to be bearing brunt of the winter, she was even barefoot . George didn't even need to look at the bottom of her feet to know they were in a horrible condition.  How terrible... it was enough to almost make him completely forget about this bizarre situation he found himself in just a few hours ago and do his utmost to take care for her in spite of his terribly limited resources. Poor sap

[♔] "Did you get lost too?" Kneeling down before the poor little girl, George gave a smile full of warmth and gentleness. "Where are you mother and father?"
