i really love the general vibe of your ocs and their world and their interactions with each other from what i've seen in your art. do you have an overarching story with them or are they just for fun?
(also i think my agere oc and soren could maybe be friends were they to meet heh!!)
Boy *do I* have a story for them! >:]
I have a few different worlds/stories I focus on in my art and writing!!
Soren and his friends are part of my project (??) that explores a lot of uncomfortable topics both for myself and what generally isn't seen in media.
Namely, "unstuck" is a recovery story. It's about how people are capable of change and how important it is to make someone feel that change is *possible* in the first place.
Soren, for example, is a hard-drug addict who'd chosen to throw his life away after his parents threw him away instead of standing behind him.
Marshall is bisexual but was raised in a "traditional" conservative family. He was told, growing up, that he had to hide away parts of himself and be strong. Unsurprisingly, he did as he was told. And turned into a very... sucky human being.
Marshall and Soren meet through a mutual friend, Brandy. And Marshall begins to realize that there's more to life than the grind of forcing himself to work and forcing the memories away. He starts truly *caring* for another man in a way he's never allowed himself to before. Soren needs support, and Marshall finds himself more than willing to offer it.
Meanwhile, the friend group consisting of Brandy, Amber, Marnie, and Adam (new addition !!) Is firmly behind them and also each other. They all have their own distinct personal stories, flaws, goals, quirks, etc. and I love emphasizing them in my posts!
The regression side of things ties heavily into recovery. Soren and Marsh both age regress because they did not have safe childhoods and because their current lives are putting an immense toll on their brains.
Soren was the first to visibly regress around his friends, and once Marshall realized this was a safe thing to do, he also found himself involuntarily slipping and needing that specific support.
I really wanna explore the physical after effects of drug abuse with Soren, potentially give him some lifelong issues that were never discovered due to his parents' apathy? He's been disabled from day one of concepting his character, but for now, I only have surface level information on what he could theoretically be "diagnosed" with.
Tl:dr... It's incredibly queer and incredibly heartfelt and kinda visceral to think about and I love my idiot family !!!!!
