so for some context on why i made this, my friends wanted to match these alnst pictures of our fav protags, but there was no wonder - so i drew it

Yosuke was relieved that the boy knew about the author, so with a lightness in his steps, he followed him through the store and came to a stop when he did. The shelves were a bit empty, which must have spoken volumes about the number of people who purchased his books. Maybe they were like him and wanted to practice their English...

He stared at the selves, contemplating which to get. There were still more he wanted to purchase, so he had to think about which one was calling to him first. He tapped his foot, then pulled The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic. “Think I’ll go with these first...” With them in his hands, he went further down the mental list.

“Okay, now I need an... annotated book of The Tale of Genji...” It wasn’t like Yu to not be on top of things, but he supposed that even he had things that slipped his mind.

The redhead waited patiently for the other to make his choice, hands clasped in front of him in a respectful manner, like he was taught during his very short training session with his manager. While he didn't have much of an opinion on those books in particular, it's nice to hear what customers had to say.

Upon hearing a different title, Tatsu was on his feet to lead him to the classic Japanese literature section, and handed it over. "You look like you're a fan of the classics. Here you go. Anything else?" His smile widened slightly, head tilted to the side.

"It's alright- just breathe." Wonder instructed with a firm but concerned tone for his teammate. The last attack from that Shadow really knocked her off her feet before he was able to finish it off, and now she unfortunately had to pay the price. Kneeling down to her level, his gaze fell on her stomach where some blood began to form.

Taking off his mask, he breathed out and summoned Titania to heal both of them as much as he could, eyes watching carefully as she returned to his visor-like mask.

Sighing, he locked eyes with her again, and her wound. "There... is that better? If not, we should probably get out of here before any more Shadows find us. We're not so safe without Cattle to guide us or drive us around."

Having an itch to read English books meant he had to look in places that were a bit special. Yu had suggested this store as a place that had a decent selection. Yosuke entered the shop, the gentle chime of a bell above his head. Just as he was looking around, an employee called out to him.

“Uh, I’m ah... looking for some English books. Like books written in English. A friend said you have a large section so I was wondering if you have something by... Pratchett?”

The English name rolled off his tongue like sandpaper scraping against a rough wall. He was sure that he flubbed it but he hoped it was enough to clue the boy in.

"Pratchett?" That name was familiar-- a famous English author who mainly wrote fantasy novels. He's never read them himself, but plenty of teens and even adults went to purchase them from their shop, so of course, he knew where they were. "Right, follow me."

He lead him to the fiction section where the author's most famous Discworld series was being displayed with still a few books on the shelves. "We got them a few weeks ago and they've been flying off the shelves. We also have..." He threw a glance at the section opposite of him.

"His first novel 'The Carpet People' if you're into it. Personally, I haven't read it, but... I've been told it's worth it."

He recalled some moments where Joker saved him in those Palaces that were a mix of the ones they had all been through separately. In Tatsu's eyes, as a fellow leader, they had become comrades and friends at this point. He could trust him with anything, including a good cup of coffee since he was such an expert. Finding himself in Yongen-Jaya to do some shopping, he entered Leblanc... and experienced a small wave of dizziness yet again.

It happened every time and he still wasn't sure why. Regardless, Akira was inside, like always.

"Good evening. It's me." He offered the barista his best smile, a hand on the strap of his school bag. "Can I have some coffee with milk, please?" He planned to stay longer this time, too, by sitting down on one of the chairs.

Despite having obtained a lot more money than he had expected from his various part-time jobs, the one at the bookstore in Shibuya was one of his favorite ones. Surrounded by books, working with his boss and facing the occasional agitated customer about not finding the book they desired or returning it in an awful condition. Tatsu didn't care about all that as long as he was happy, got paid and went home safely.

Then right as he was about to zone out due to his headache, he spotted a new face walking in. The orange hair was hard to miss.

"Welcome." He said, bowing politely like he was taught. "What are you looking to buy?"
