When you master puhekieli
the most awkward part of learning a language is when you are able to understand a sentence but you have no idea how to make that sentence
reminder to myself about the process of drafting & revising:
first drafts are for making it exist
second drafts are for making it functional
third drafts are for making it effective
When you need to use your mother tongue but your brain just won’t shut up in your second language.
the most awkward part of learning a language is when you are able to understand a sentence but you have no idea how to make that sentence
Psychology is not fun… not fun et al.
When you are not sure if what you said is correct but then a native speaker approves it
Szia! Can you please provide me list of essential slang words and colloquial words in Hungarian, such as Mizu, Micsoda, etc? Kösz!!!
For sure.
Mizu? Mizujs? (Mi újság = what's new) = what's up?
Asszem [assem] (azt hiszem) = i think that
Nemtom (nem tudom) = i don't know
Mittomén (mit tudom én) = i dunno, how am i supposed to know
Valszeg [valseg] (valószínűleg) = probably
Aha/ jó = yeah, yes
Kb / kábé [kaabee] (körülbelül) = approximately
Stb = etc
Goal: reaching a respectable level of fluency in a foreign language without anyone knowing that you have been learning it then randomly starting to speak that language
Why are we prone to have an accent from our second language when we are learning a third one? Can someone explain this to me?
Isn’t it just plain hilarious when you read something in a foreign language and understand it then realise that you don’t even learn that language but you can decode the meaning based on your knowledge of other languages?
