I love the fact that the nerdbros in the Night Vale fandom just don’t get it. I think it’s hilarious.

I love it when they complain every time the show reminds us that it has a protagonist, and that he has feelings and opinions about things.

I love every time they call the show “lovecraftian” when the writers hate Lovecraft, and the style of writing isn’t at all similar.

It makes me laugh when they complain about all the “fangirls ruining their live show experience” by behaving like fans enjoying a live performance.

I love the fact that the people who get this show are the lgbt+ fans who are excited at being represented through one of the best gay relationships in any piece of media. The female fans who love the cast of well developed female characters. The socially conscious fans who appreciate how much this show strives to be inclusive, and the well crafted social commentary.

I love the fact that they are so bewildered by the fact that this show isn’t trying to pander to them that they’ve convinced themselves that they’re the only ones who really get it and it’s the show’s fault for not being the lovecraftian plotless atmospheric horror that it never was in the first place.
