What we need, I think, is a modern equivalent to the period when MTV would just show weird animation sometimes. I don’t exactly know what that would be though.

You can tell Metalocalypse is fiction because the rich people are stupid but not actively malicious, pay taxes, their actions have actual direct consequences for them, and they give their employees really good healthcare.

Do I still get pissed when they’re characterized badly in fanfiction because the little information we get about their relationship with Rocky is romantic as fuck? Also yes.
