“Nice arms. Ever think about getting started on a sleeve?”
worlds-okayest-beta:
Sean shook his head, laughing a little. “Yeah, no, I’m not really the outdoors type. I basically failed out of cub scouts, which isn’t supposed to be possible. What do you do for fun, if you don’t get out much?”
“Sleep mostly.” The black hair beta sighed. Boring, he knew it. He was, truthfully, a simple man, however. He raised the cigarette to his lips once more, smoke spilling from his mouth in wisps as he spoke. “ What do you do for fun? Maybe we can do it together.” Then a bit of a flirtatious simper came to his face.
yves-moreau:
There was no caution or hesitation as he met Kieran’s gaze, watching the beta as he moved in closer, a shiver of anticipation running down his spine. Yves’ fingers dug into the fine leather of the bed, feeling his body getting increasingly warm as the promise of gratifying satisfaction grew steadily closer. He idly wondered how this made him look; willing to giving himself over so easily to someone he’d only just introduced himself too. It wasn’t accurate in the least, not that he cared what anyone else thought, but he was certainly breaking a lot of his own rules set when he came to Vollmond. At least it wasn’t that time so he could play around without consequences.
Breath hitching at the grab of his collar, there was a light in his eyes as he was pulled into that first climax of their teasing in the form of a simple kiss. Not that it was at all simple; followed by teeth and tongue in that aggression that had Yves’ toes curling in his shoes and fingers grasping at Kieran’s back as his arms pulled him in closer. The release of pressure that had built up in his chest only made him that much warmer and he desperately wanted to remove layers, holding himself back with a slight furrowing of his eyebrows and a returning growl from his own throat in response to the beta. Even now determined to show he was no easy omega.
Pulling his lips away with a little it of extra effort on his end, Yves took a brief moment to return the attack on his neck earlier; teeth grazing across Kieran’s skin before his lips followed. Once satisfied he moved back, taking a moment to appreciate his work and the taste on his tongue, he let out a light exhale with a hint of a left over growl from his chest.
“It’s a good distraction, no?” he coaxed, letting a hand trail the beta’s stomach from where his hand had slipped beneath his shirt. Yves was daring and feisty for an omega, probably from growing up on the streets with a disliking of his own stereotype, and he was intent on showing it off. “Don’t write yourself off so easily; I’d say there was talent in that tongue.”
Exciting - Yves was exciting. And a little bit mysterious. Every little inch Kieran was able to win felt like opening gifts on Christmas. Then hopefully he could pull back the wrapping all together. For sure, even what he was seeing of Yves now, wasn’t the real him. Kieran was at major risk of something like addiction. Whether it be Yves’ eyes or his lips, which the Brit was quite enjoying at this point. And that growl in return resonated within the core of him. Butterflies and a rather resistible urge to shove his tongue down Yves’ throat. Then, just like that, it was over. Flighty little thing. Kieran was ready with a rebuke but, full of surprises, Yves stopped him dead in his tracks. His neck was a definite weakness. The attentions made him whimper, muttering a little ‘fuck’ under his breath because that sound was just a little bit embarrassing.
He’d lost himself for a time, in Yves’ taste and the touch of his lips. The absence of those things brought him right back to reality, a look of perturbed disappointment on his face. They were close still, though, closer than they’d been before, at least. He capitalized, wrapping his arms around Yves’ middle, clawing at his shirt. hoping to convince the omega to take it off completely.
“I think I know what your problem is.” His voice was low and husky, Kieran giving a sharp nip to the other guy’s jaw, “You talk too much. There’s just so many more useful things you could be doing with your mouth.” Trailing his thumb over his bottom lip, he wore a positively suggestive smirk on his face.
Are you into choking?
“No…”
Kieran laughed. Not for any particular reason but he just thought it a bit funny how put off the other wolf seemed by it. He was rough around the edges and just as reckless in bed.
“What are you into?”
yves-moreau:
A shiver took over Yves at the ghost of lips on the back of his neck, followed by the rumbling of the beta’s chest that vibrated against his back. Drawing in his lower lip to be pinched by his teeth in order to keep himself quiet, needing a moment to regather himself before continuing on. He couldn’t help himself. Not only was it his body’s nature to be hyper reactive to the beta, but everything about the situation had his nerves on fire. The risk in being caught by coworkers or management, the way Kieran was just ever so hesitantly aggressive in his actions, and how that touch landed on nearly every erogenous zone he had were driving him crazy. Yet he still had enough energy to keep up with his attempt at seductive teasing, intent on at least trying to keep his word on making the beta work for it.
Yves danced backwards with the shove, raising his eyebrows with an illusive glance before turning in the direction of his work space. It was neat, well organized, though he expected not for very long, though it certainly made for enough room to fool around. He sat himself on the client bed there, legs on either side, making himself at least appear completely relaxed though he was sure his scent gave him away. Not that it mattered, he would still play along as long as he could.
Lips pulled up in an alluring smirk, Yves ran his blue gaze down Kieran’s body at his own leisure this time. Not at all trying to hide it as he ran a hand through his bangs to push them out of the way. “More like a fox than a wolf that way.” Yves finally brought his eyes back to the other’s face, smirk growing. “Have you ever tried to catch a fox? Tricky little devils,” he sighed before looking around the office space, leaning back on his hands. “We’ll have to see how work your words, mon cher. Besides, I thought you were here to get something.”
And again, just as Kieran had him in his grasp, the omega skittered away. A sweet game of back and forth. Kieran followed again, on into one of the many little rooms past the lobby. The piercing station was similar yet different where he himself worked. Just a bit neater, more intentionally sterile and like a hospital examination room, the client’s place right in the middle of it all. He thought about little details like that until he felt eyes on him. Looking over, he saw Yves appraising him. There was something sexy about that. He was more used to doing the looking. Not that he wasn’t doing the looking too, though. Kieran had been looking that whole time, even when their words had still been a little pointed. Yves was just...well, a sight for sore eyes, beautiful and alluring as he was. As was probably expected, Kieran moved back in, gaze unwavering as he stalked over.
“ I mean, I am - will...eventually.” Kieran had a look on his face like he’d forgotten for a second... Because he had. It was hard keeping his priorities straight with a far more pressing matter right in front of him. He placed his hands on Yves thighs, rolling his eyes.
“Stop distracting me.” He had a fake pout on his lips, “I’ve never had a way with words... I’d much rather act.”
Kieran kept true to that. Whatever patience he did have was fast waning. With a quick hand, he grabbed Yves by the collar of his shirt, tugging, dragging him forward into a kiss. That mounting tension found some small release and, even with something as simple as a first kiss, Kieran was aggressive. His teeth bit at Yves’ bottom lip and his tongue curled into his mouth because he just couldn’t wait to taste him. Another growl. Kieran loved how hot his mouth was and that residual essence of black coffee.
Office Hours || Open
“Come in!” Quinn called in response to the knock on his door. “It’s open!” His office hours lasted until five-thirty, and it was only half-past three. He was settled in with a steaming mug of tea and his laptop on and open on his desk. He smiled at his visitor as they walked in the door. “Good afternoon.”
Bureaucracies were the weirdest thing about ‘civilized’ life. The University was an institution of learning, yes, but it was also a Bureaucracy. He’d been told to go to this office and that office, sign this form or that form, wait to see this that or another doctor/professor. And, it was rather simple what he was trying to accomplish, Kieran just needed one document: proof that he’d made it through secondary school and wasn’t a completely unlearned heathen. He’d stopped reading what was on the doors at this point, knocking on what he thought was the right one. The black haired beta leaned against the frame after whoever was in the office bid him entry.
“Is this the...- like, the place where you lot keep records and things? I need something.”
yves-moreau:
Yves grinned, watching the beta as he continued to tease him. It certainly wasn’t turning out to be a bad idea to break his own rules, not yet at least. He was having fun testing the limits of his teasing, seeing how long the beta could keep up with Yves’ purposefully flighty nature. At the movement of the beta’s fingers, Yves was more than tempted to return to his side; body already aching for the return of his warmth and scent. The least he could was halt his movements backwards, which he did with a coy glance but didn’t move closer. Not yet at least; his risk taking personality wouldn’t let this go until he had the other just as aching and wanting as the stereotypical omega, or at least as close as he could get the beta. The thought made his blue eyes lighten as he stopped at the front of the store with Kieran, grateful for once of their slow business and easy management.
A chuckle left him as he eyed Kieran holding the door open for him, moving forward with a bounce in his step and not-too accidentally brushing himself against the beta as he entered into the shop. “Keep playing your cards right, Kieran and it’ll be easier than you think,” he practically whispered, almost bounding right to his station out of habit before pausing expectantly to glance back behind him at his current attraction. “There’s no point to a prize if it isn’t worked for,” Yves reminded him with a teasing click of his tongue. “Can you keep up?”
What a minx. Was Kieran vexed, though? Absolutely not. No, this was just a lesson in restraint. He was failing it but that was besides the point. Yves entered and, with that coquettish brush of their bodies, his senses were again flooded with the scent of the Omega. No matter...they were alone now and Kieran would be lying if he said he hadn’t brought the pair here on purpose. There was just something...fitting about this setting. But perhaps that wasn’t the word. After all, Kieran had promised a more exciting change of scenery. And there was nothing more exciting than the prospect of them being caught here together, at the place they worked. Call him kinky but there was always an added edge of risk with Kieran. The beta close the door and locked it back, not bothering to turn the lights on.
Finally, he could get as close as he dared to in the dusky bluish light that spilled in the windows. Kieran came up right behind Yves, invading his personal space, burying his face in the crook of his neck and breathing in deep. He smiled against the skin, dealing him a ghost of a kiss behind his ear, nuzzling into Yves. Guess he couldn’t fend off that puppyish behavior after all. Despite himself, a growl rumbled low and lustful in Kieran’s chest. It was unfair that this Omega was just doing things to him.
“Keep up? Then I assume you think you’re the one setting the pace?” Kieran shoved Yves playfully, laughing to himself, “ Won’t deny that you’re a clever little thing. I can be rather persuasive too, though.”
It was a bad habit really– the urge to hoard whatever food he was given. He rarely finished anything before stashing the rest of it in his backpack. Granola bars, fruit snacks, fruit. When he had bumped into the person, his old backpack had fallen to the ground and the small Omega (with clothes that were too large for him) moved quickly, gathering up the food that had scattered about. “Sorry…” He whispered when the shadow had fallen over him.
He’d heard somewhere that multitasking wasn’t actually a thing. Yeah, you could feasibly do two things at once, but there was no way attention to detail wouldn’t take a hit. Probably why Kieran ended up running into this poor kid. He’d been trying to do something as simple as lighting his cigarette while he walked. He eventually sparked it but the walking thing didn’t work out quite as he’d hoped. The Brit muttered a surprised little curse word. Honestly, hadn’t seen Gilly coming at all. Then, everything that was in his backpack seemed to end up on the ground all at once and, adding insult to injury, Kieran carelessly stepped on most of the food as he turned around. He felt officially bad now.
“Shit. Sorry about that.” He stooped down to grab a few things that were mostly worse for ware, “ Ehm....I reckon you’d be better off just buying new stuff...Think I stepped on most of it.”
yves-moreau:
The touch to the back of his neck was innocent enough but sent electric waves though him, making it hard not to melt on his way out of the hotel. It probably wouldn’t have mattered if he weren’t an omega either; it just so happened to be that spot that made his hands clench slightly and his jaw to tighten to keep himself from making any weird noises that could end the game too early. Not that Kieran made it easy for him, fingers playing at his hairline and causing those little hairs at the back of his neck rise up and goosebumps cover his flesh beneath his clothes. Though, if Yves was being honest, he’d rather those clothes currently be nonexistent and if they’d perhaps instead turned and simply returned to his hotel room. Of course that would end the game too quickly, however, and he was certainly having fun with the beta. Yves moved himself even closer to Kieran, side brushing against his occasionally– Not sure whether it was to encourage the beta or simply satisfy his own need to feed the growing fire inside him.
Yves laughed, unable to contain himself at Kieran’s mention of one of the piercings he’d brought up earlier. “Only if you’re into a bit of pain,” he teased, blue eyes flashing. “That and I’m guess you’re probably going to want to use your dick within the next couple of days, maybe hours.” He raised an eyebrow, rescinding his step closer and instead getting farther away as they walked. A part of him hated the fact that the touches on the back of his neck grew lighter as he moved away, but also not quite finished with his toying. “I mean, unless I’m wrong.”
Yves danced away just when Kieran thought he was getting comfortable. It was almost like there was a secret behind his coy smile. Like he knew something Kieran didn't know. The true rules to this game, perhaps. Yves got further and further away and Kieran wanted nothing more than to follow after him like some pup. Was a bit desperate. Kieran missed him already, in a way. Both hands in his pockets, the Beta canted his head to the side, fixing the Omega with a look of gentle amusement and curiosity.
That bit about using his dick got Kieran smirking. Boy did he hope to. Or maybe it was that mention of a pain threshold. He could appreciate either. Wouldn't be doing things correctly if it didn't hurt a little bit.
"Would love to. If you'd stop playing around, maybe you could help me out." There was an annoyed edge to Kieran's voice. A challenge, too. He reached out for him, wiggling his fingers , hoping Yves would take the hint and come back closer....And too, maybe hoping he wouldn’t. Because, when all this tension came to a heading, it would be rather sweet. His attention had been so thoroughly rapt on his companion that Kieran nearly missed the shop. He hadn’t been expecting a far walk, the town was small, everything close together. Cold Steel was closed, usually was at least once a week. From Kieran’s summation, not too many wolves were keen on getting tatted and pierced. Luckily, this meant that the establishment could spare the staff a day off. Keys jingled as he produced them from his pocket, unlocking the door to duck in, holding it open for Yves to follow.
Exactly what he wanted to hear. For a half second, he was quite prepared for rejection but that only would've made him more insistent. This was the best part, he though: a teasing chase. He let Yves pass before him but stayed close, close enough to feel the heat radiate off of him and catch the coffee on his breath. That whole time, his fingers had itched for even a little touch but he'd behaved because, generally, it's not wise to put hands on strangers. But he'd never been good at denying his whims and fancies. Kieran placed a hand on the back of Yves neck as they exited. Fingers caressed little circles at the nape before straying into his hair, playing with the ends. He ventured a chaste little gesture like that wouldnt get him in too much trouble. It spoke of familiarity, like the two of them hadn't just met (officially met, at any rate) by chance in the dining room of a hotel. Didn't matter. Kieran had every intention of getting to know Yves on a more intimate level, anyway. "So, without me, you'd be stuck in your hotel room." Stated as fact. Kieran was beginning to get the feeling Yves was a bit anti-social. Endearing. So far, everything about this man was endearing. "Seems I'm doing you a favor. You can thank me later. I have to stop by Cold Steel to get something and maybe you can show me what the fuck a Prince Albert is while we're at it."
“Kieran Keane. Not nearly as pretty.” Nothing special. The alliteration was pretty catchy so, for introduction’s sake, he always gave his name in full. He’d finished his coffee at some point as they were talking. He placed his cup upside down on the table, giving it a sharp flick, watching as it sailed in an arch into a nearby trashcan.
All at once, Kieran's eager impatience got the better of him. Betas and Alphas were perhaps hard-wired to react to an omega in certain ways. Though, not always in the same ways. Some wanted to dominate and intimidate. Some wanted to protect and covet. And some just wanted to fufill that directive of reproduction. Given the chance, Kieran could be all three. Right now, it was hard to say. Because he realized just talking to Yves was as fine a time as kissing his neck might be. He wanted for them to be alone, regardless of whether or not whatever they got up to was innocent. Kieran straightened up, slipping his hands into his pockets, scanning the room for no reason in particular. A bunch of old people and families. Yeah, suprememly boring.
“Take your coffee to go, Yves.” Eyes lingered on the door. “And come tag along with me today. Unless you’ve got something better to do.”
For once, Kieran found himself at a loss for words. He felt a bit hard-pressed. That plan of his had three pretty exact steps. His bravado wouldn’t be worth much if he skipped that middle one. The omega had a pretty name, sounded French by his aproximation. There was an air of dignity and sophistication about it too, evident as much in the way Yves conducted himself. He wasn’t a timid little thing like others of his type. Kieran appreciated that, for sure, but it’d take more than a few slick lines to beguille this one. Sophistication wasn’t his strong suit, though, and there wasnt an punce of naievete in Yves’ stare. Looks like he was right, Kieran couldn’t muster anything more than the surprised arch of his brows. And too, there were a number of fresher things he’d rather say and do. Did he have to be so close? On one hand, it wasn’t like Kieran minded but he was trying his very hardest to be an entertaining flirt. Wouldn’t do to be drifting off, day dreaming about that part where they ditched this lobby in favor of that more exciting place.
“Yves.” Either way, Kieran still liked the way it sounded rolling off his tongue. He laughed softly. “My wit’s failing me and I hold you entirely responsible. Could I get that reward anyway?” Incorrigible.
yves-moreau:
Yves kept watch out of the corner of his eyes, pouring himself a cup of coffee and trying very hard to keep from accidentally brushing elbows or shoulders with the stubborn beta. Though admittedly it was less cautious and more curious at this point, occasionally allowing his gaze to wander before turning back to his brew when he thought he’d get caught. Yves tried to remind himself to breath through his mouth. It was easier that way, avoiding scents that could cause unwelcome thoughts or feelings. Instead he tried to focus on the coffee, not hard to do when he took it black; no cream and no sugar, just the coffee and a couple of espresso shots to help him through the day. However, just as he went to take a sip of the drink, the other man’s comments made him chuckle and almost choke.
“A bitchy vibe?” He repeated, raising an eyebrow at the statement while clasping the cup in both hands and nodding lightly. “Alright, I’ll give you that one. Can you blame me with some of the customers that walk into that joint?” He rolled his eyes, though his tone was teasing. “I’m just there to look pretty and poke holes in people’s bodies. You do tattoo work, right?” He asked, though he already knew the answer as his mind put the pieces together.
An eyebrow raised as he matched the toying look the other gave him, shrugging lightly and coyly as he attempted another sip at his coffee. It had been too long since he’d actually indulged in half-way decent conversation.
A hum escaped him as he set the coffee down on the table he leaned against, running a hand through his dark locks. “You’re right, I don’t believe I did. Probably because I don’t give anything out for free.”
Kieran scoffed, rolling his eyes. But no humor was lost in his smirk. Things just got interesting. And now the Brit was in a position where he should play along if he wanted to get anywhere. He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t entertained the thought throughout the course of this conversation. And, with the way the omega smiled at him, coquettish as the Mona Lisa, Kieran might have agreed to most anything. He ventured for that first sip of coffee, tapping the fingers of his free hand on the tabletop in an offhanded way. Then, Kieran gave the other wolf a much more docile look.
“But you were so rude to me before.” Reference to the remark that had started all this, “ A simple ‘excuse me’ would’ve been enough. I kinda feel like you owe me one. You can tell me your name, I’ll say something charming about it and then we can go some place more exciting.”
yves-moreau:
It would be a lie to say that the response didn’t surprise Yves, semi expecting the man to excuse himself and at the very least move to the side slightly. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case and Yves could feel his eyebrows furrowing in frustration despite trying to keep a calm demeanor. Though it was true that the man did in fact look familiar to Yves as well, though from where he could not say exactly. For the last few months he’d been able to keep quietly to himself, keeping up with his job, enjoying his time alone in his hotel room, and trying not to think of when the next time he’d have to lock himself away would be.
“I do in fact. If you’re going to stand there at least be useful and make yourself the new barista.” Yves frowned as he watched the other make his coffee before scoffing lightly. “Actually scratch that. Who needs that much peppermint? Hiding something on your breath?” He raised an eyebrow at the light tease before standing from his seat and moving to get his coffee, not caring whether or not he was invading personal space at this point, just wanting the bitter taste on his tongue. He glanced over at the man, blue eyes scanning him for a minute as he tried to place him. “Depends; do you have a nipple piercing? Maybe a Prince Albert? I do a lot of them.”
Well, at least he was amusing. Kieran was a particularly difficult person to put off and, more than that, he just wanted to test this guy. He could respect anyone that was able to exchange verbal blows with him. But, he was willing to yield only so much ground. The omega made a move for the coffee anyway, Kieran watching him with playful blue eyes. At some point, the Brit zoned out. All his mind registered was the rich scent of freshly brewed coffee and how this wolf smelled even more inviting than that. An instincts thing, Kieran couldn’t help himself even if he wanted to. Omegas just smelled...good? He started on about piercings and all the dots connected. Kieran’s brows rose in recognition but he still couldn’t fish a name out of his subconscious.
“Ah...I’ve sorted it out, mate.” He gestured with his coffee cup, “ You work at the same place I do. Dunno how long for, though. ‘S just weird I’ve never chatted with you before. Then again, you give off a pretty bitchy vibe. Perhaps I’ve just been subconsciously avoiding ya.”
Kieran bit his lip, trying to keep the smirk on his face from seeming so smug. He wanted to be friendly but a bit of teasing was how he got acquainted with someone.
“You didn’t ever give me your name.”
Yves couldn’t help but stare, biting his tongue to keep any smart remarks from bubbling up uncontrollably. He’d spent the last hour downstairs in the hotel dining room and still hadn’t finished the muffin sitting on his plate, he wasn’t hungry. The coffee however, that had been finished a long time ago and he would have gotten up to refill it if it weren’t for the person just standing there. It wasn’t anyone he recognized, not that he made himself well known in the time he’d been in town, so he was hesitant to step up and shove them out of the way. Though the idea was tempting. Finally he managed to get out; “Are you going to be there all day?”
Pretty much his whole life, Kieran had been broke. Yeah, he had a decent paying job now but old habits die hard. It was a morning routine now: sneaking into the bed and breakfast nearest his house and capitalizing on their continental spread. And he liked this one in particular because they had little cups of peppermint creamer for their coffee even though it wasn’t Christmas time. Had to indulge in the little things. Kieran had his cup, gingerly adding packet after packet of the creamer. He was having a fine time of it too, until someone behind him spoke up.
“Yeh, actually. Do you mind?” The quip was out his mouth before he could stop it. He didn’t expect to see a familiar face when he turned around....semi-familiar, at least. Kieran couldn’t place where he knew him from. Playing devil’s advocate, Kieran smiled, making small-talk instead of moving out of the way. “We’ve met before. Who’re you again?”
“So what do people do for fun around here?” Sean grinned as he approached a werewolf standing nearby. “I’m new, if you couldn’t tell. Name’s Sean.”
The other wolf caught Kieran in the middle of lighting a cigarette. For a second, he told himself he wasn’t the one being addressed. But then, the other’s eyes seemed kind of insistent. Kieran turned to his latest acquaintance, shrugging and finishing the task of sparking the cig.
“Dunno. I don’t personally get out much. The um...forest is nice this time of year? If you’re into nature.”
