my gift for eviechan68 for the makorra gift exchange! i always like future headcanons so i did a thing of older korra looking over the spirit portal in republic city, because she’s the avatar and she’s basically the guardian of that thing and every other spirit. and mako is chief of police who watches over the rest of the city and protects them and they protect RC together and he has her back all the time. (also, i made up a chief of police outfit b/c mako is a firebender, and i miscounted the panels on his left arm, so i just decided to make some of them red so it’s obvs he’s a firebender.)
