Hi, thank you for your question. I’m not entirely sure if I fully understood it, but I interpret it as “How can you be certain that you love art?” (Please let me know if I misunderstood.)

I believe it’s similar to playing a game. If you feel interested, you know you like the game. If you feel bored, you know you don’t like it. Art is the same.

That’s the beginning of interest, but in my opinion, this is just “liking,” not “loving.”

My love for art is more like, “Among thousands of pains, I chose this one.”

Yes, pain. Philosophers have their pain, scientists have theirs, and artists have their own pain as well. For me, the moment I knew I loved art was when I realized:

“This is the only pain I can endure for my entire life.”

That’s how I’m certain that there’s no other path for me but this one.
