You know when that bassline sick you make a face like you can smell s h i t D I R T Y P L A Y E R look what you've done, their faces arescrewed but they're havin' FUN
monroe just sips her rootbeer float, watching what was about to go down. kierra emphasizing the word lesbian had her chuckling a little bit, the girl really knew how to amuse her. she was right about the man though, he really might be stalking her, just with the way he stares at her. she smiles, putting down her drink when the other dj wrapped her arm around her protectively. “my hero, thank you baby,” she chuckles lightly, kissing the other on her cheek. “i think you’ve scared him enough,” she says, watching the man slowly back off. “he’s been making my rootbeer float less enjoyable, it’s so annoying.”
“Aw, man I knew that’d work. It’s an old trick my friend taught me when I was first comin’ into the scene. Y’know, us girls gotta’ protect girls.” Setting down the glass, she let’s her arm fall from the other’s shoulders. “I--” She hiccups from chugging everclear of all drinks. “knew he wouldn’t really want that smoke. I was gonna’ kick the soul out of him if that didn’t go down right.” She leans against the bar, holding out and waving a hand to flag down the bartender. “I’m feeling like a gin and tonic. I need some smooth sippin’, after that. If I can get this damn guy... and don’t you dare try to pay for it! I got paid tonight, honey!” She says that last bit, waving her hand to the music and sticking her tongue out.
“ogling, i mean, he won’t fucking stop staring at me. warned the dipshit that i’ll break his nose if won’t stop, seems like my warning’s not enough.” monroe sipped on her drink as she squints her eyes at the stranger who wouldn’t leave her alone. she couldn’t help but be amused at the younger girl’s attempt to scare of the male. “he’s been eyefucking me ever since i got to the bar. god, the idiot just wouldn’t let me enjoy my drink just for once.”
“Huh? I didn’t know that was like... a thing.” She shakes her head in disgust, fuming at herself for her own futile attempt in getting this strange man to get the hint and lurk elsewhere. “...I’m gonna’ finish off this everclear lemonade, and by that point, I swear I’ll be ready and able to kick him in the balls if he doesn’t go away. He’s stalking you, Monroe. Probably doesn’t even know he’s barking up the wrong, LESBIAN tree....” She shouts the word. There aren’t often moments that Kierra has bright thoughts, but when she does, she acts. “Lay off my girlfriend, prick.” She places an arm around her protectively, using her other hand to knock back all of her drink in some sort of odd way to assert dominance.
“well, i’ll remember that one now,” she winks playfully at the younger woman. “no, no, sssshh! come on! we haven’t seen each other in a while, man. you gotta let me buy you a drink.” monroe hasn’t seen her friend that much in a long time, given the fact that they work in different clubs and their schedules mostly doesn’t align. “that guy’s been fucking ogling me for the past twenty minutes, it’s disgusting,” she admits. “i’ve tried calling him out but he just won’t stop, it’s so annoying. i was going to leave until– well, you got here.”
She’s already forgotten about the drink, despite it being sat on the bar now, wondering who that man is. “Whats an ogle? Is that a new app? Ugh, I hate it when annoying people don’t stop messaging me on messenger.” She takes a step forward. “Hey! Stop Ogling her, jerk! She doesn’t want to talk to you! Ogle with someone else!” After standing up for her friend-- or sincerely trying to at least-- she finally takes her drink, taking a gulp. “What is up with him? Is he tweaking out on something?"
her mood quickly changes once she notices who she’s bumped into. “k-sweet! hey!,” she greets the other. monroe shrugs at her question with a playful grin. “yeah, i did. decided this place could chill for a little bit before it really goes down,” she chuckles in reply. monroe quickly down her drink and nods at the nearby bartender for her to have another one. “hey- you got a brownie and didn’t share with me?,” she frowned for a moment, but them puts her shoulder around the other’s neck as they get closer to the bar, getting her freshly ordered rootbeer float. “whatever she’s having, it’s on me,” she winks playfully at the bartender. “but yeah, i do need to get in the zone most of the time before i start my set, i just-,” she was interrupted by the man from earlier still staring at her. “look, man, what the fuck is your problem?”
“My bad, girlfriend! I’ll remember to save some for you next time, man.” She laughs. When she says she’ll pay, Kierra’s mouth goes agape. “O-Oh, no, you don’t have to. Really!” Turning to the bartender, she blushes. “I’ll have lemonade moonshine, please... extra everclear.” She smiles shyly, tucking her hair behind her hair and turning back to Monroe and suddenly-- she’s upset. Looking at the man with a doe-eyed look of cluelessness, Kierra looks back at Monroe. “What? Hello! I like your shirt!” She shouts over the music, but he seems to just lurk with his drink in hand. “Do you know him?”
“I’m sorry, but I jus’ - I cannot grasp why anyone would use this.” Roman shook his head while pointing at the silicone pair of feet disturbingly on display in the oh so lovely Sexy Stuf sex shop. “I mean…I get how they use it, but I’m…” He looked around, and then dropped his head back with a sigh of annoyance. “The thought alone of using someone’s feet to get off is outlandish enough for me, but to be at the level of desperation in which you would buy a pair of fake feet to wank into, I have lost all faith in humanity.”
It’s her first time buying a toy. Her first time being in a true sex shop. Sure, she’d seen a few dildos at Spencer’s in her past but that was different. This somehow felt like admitting to loneliness. Kierra looks over to him, down at the pink vibrator in her hands, then back at him. Was he talking to her? She’s not sure, but she doesn’t feel comfortable being surrounded by these items. Realizing he is speaking to her, she speaks up. “O-Oh... cool...” She winces. “Not cool, I mean. That’s what I meant to say, I just... I’m thinking about whether I should get one or more things, or just leave, and I’m sort of grossed out now by that... that thing ‘coz I-I got a mental image of how it’s used, and now I’m worried if I get something weird, what if my cat thinks it’s a toy? I’ll have to get rid of it then, ‘coz I don’t want the baby touching this stuff or... ugh, watching me.” She trails off finally, looking down. “I’m sorry.”
“I’m old!” He was laughing as he walked through the bar, carrying his skateboard to back and placing it behind the bar. He tied on his apron, kicking the skateboard under the bar with a grin. “Some 12 year old just offered me a whole ten dollars to buy my skateboard off me. Apparently I’m a “geezer” who may break a hip on my board. I’ve made it?” He starts cleaning glasses with a chuckle. “I don’t feel old, I should’ve just taken his money and ran. He wouldn’t have been able to keep up.”
“And you’re HAPPY they took away something from you? Something you enjoy?” Kierra watches him pass by with a confused expression forming. “Don’t take that kinda’ crap from anyone about what you like, man. Not even twelve year olds. Hell, not even for cash. That’s what I say. Why would you go off and let something as bad as that go down for you, Wes?” She inquires, leaning against the bar. “That’s it, I’m getting you a skateboard. Maybe… used, but. Well, I’ll figure out some way to get one back for you! As long as a couple drinks are in it for me?” She offers a cheesy smile, resting her head in her hands.
New York. Ali was beyond excited to be back in to New York. It was home, and she had just got off a world tour, she was ready to be home. She’d been home for a week, hadn’t left her penthouse, regaining the energy she very much needed. Now, ventured out to the nearby Starbucks, followed nearby was her body guard. Her management insisted that just coming off tour, she would need him around, though she told them otherwise. Things weren’t always her choice. Not in her career path.
Thankfully, there was only one other person in line, so Ali made her way up to the counter, “I’ll cover their coffee.” She said, pulling her wallet out, “Can I also get a Venti Iced Smoked Butterscotch Latte.” She asked, turning to the other person in line. “Did you want anything else besides your coffee?” The blonde smiled brightly in their direction.
Turning to see who’s behind her in line, Kierra takes a moment to actually realize what’s happening. “O-Oh. Oh my god. You’re--” She pauses, almost pointing, but resisting the urge, remembering that her mother had always told her that it was rude. “You’re Alison. Alison Haynes is buying coffee with me!” Her deadpan expression has melted into happiness. “I... love your music. It’s so colorful, I wanted to see you on tour but work got in the way and rent was really--” Ki cuts herself off. “Sorry. Uh. N-No, just... a chai latte...” She isn’t sure if she should say anything else, feeling starstruck. Sure, she’s seen famous people around New York, considering its size and popularity with people, but she’s never had this kind of brush up with a celebrity.
the club today was packed by a lot of its patrons, the tables filled with them on their phones with one hand and drinks on the other, talking over the music. monroe just finished her set, and was just nursing a drink of her own, a big glass of rootbeer float. it has been going pretty well for the dj for the past year, with her getting recognized by now a lot of people as dj knox, her music was pretty much one of the things people look forward in the place. she has also living with her best friend and her son. she had these thoughts causing her to have this wide smile on her face when her thoughts were immediately interrupted by a guy who was creepily staring at her. god, men would never stop being disgusting. “look, if you don’t stop staring right now that nose of yours would be broken in second,” she just simply said, not wanting the other customers to notice she was bothered. she didn’t want anyone to be affected. the brunette immediately left the bar to look for another place in the club to stay when she suddenly bumped into someone. “god fuck- i’m sorry,” she grumbled.
Having only just pulled up to the scene in her uber pool, Kierra hadn’t yet had a chance to say hello to Monroe, being pushed about the crowd after getting through the entrance. Hopping from opening a more casual house party on the south side to pooling into the north of the borough with a few people she’d met always felt like a bit of a culture shock for a few moments. Being bumped into in such a packed place with dim and flashing lights wasn’t so much of a shock, to her, though. She does stop a moment, looking up. “It’s no big-- Knox?” She shout over the music a bit more than normal. She shouldn’t be so surprised-- this is more so their territory after all. “Hey! You spin earlier, or--?” She beams at the other. “Man, this place is freakin’ insane right now. I’ve gotta’ get drinks... Already a ‘lil wavy from a brownie the sound guy offered at this gig I did, but you know how I do. Gotta’ get into the groove somehow when you do this shit on the daily.” Kierra shrugs a shoulder, fiddling with the ends of her hair idly.

Yes it is me, L, with another iconic chatacter. This is Kiki and she’s gorgeous and kind and here is a small bio and after that will be a character breakdown/analysis if you care to take a look at stats--
Kierra Stokes is an underground DJ from the Bronx that spins house music at local clubs and she’s usually an earlier performer in the night just before the big names come out to warm up crowds. She has always had aspirations of pursuing music since the age of six when she was introduced to lessons at her public school and began playing the piano. To her parents’ and music teacher’s surprise, she had perfect pitch and even spoke of hearing the music in rainbow-- a crosswire of the left and right brain that causes signals to mix-- synesthesia. Only four percent of the world’s population are known to possess said condition including some of the greatest minds the creative world has seen. Once Kierra learned of this, she chucked all other avenues of life away that could lead to success and decided that music was all that mattered. Kiki let her grades slip up once in high school due to sneaking around and getting into the scene around sixteen, when a friend brought her to a house party. She wanted to move a crowd the way the DJ did, and feel the energy of the crowd for herself. So, she spent late nights into early mornings simply teaching herself how to do just that, using what little money from her new part time job to buy a cheap deck to plug into her laptop. She got the hang of it extremely quickly, gathered the courage to ask if she could show off her setlist at an upcoming house party, was laughed at, but given a chance, and stole the show. Unfortunately, she was forced to drop out due to her lack of attention and ridiculously low GPA score. Her parents fumed, and her brother Tim worried. He still does. Deciding finally to get out of her comfort zone of the scene she was already known in with the same people she’d known since teendom, Kierra moved to Kingsboro at twenty-one years old, garnering her second apartment for a bargain on the southside. Today, she gets by on gigs and by being local house DJ to events and parties she’s booked for, but the prices of Kingsboro just seem to go up with each passing month and every new building that goes up. One thing for sure is that with every new face around the borough, Kiki has a mission to make them smile and dance personally.
