“Kisa,” Her name escapes him without planning. He certainly wasn’t expecting to greet her upon his return. Granted, she did enjoy staying at Shigure’s every so often. Still, it was late. And cold. She should have been in bed by now. So should he. Immediately, his mind turns to the worst. “I-is everything o-okay?” Asks Fayren, despite his own ability to stand growing weaker by the second. His teeth chattered ( — though his stutter was hardly unusual ), he had been out on a walk for hours now, and the snow had managed to tear him apart, and bring forth frost to his very bones. Brittle and shivering, they always were — he always is, but especially now so. He’s reluctant to take off his jacket and scarf; yet the snow clung to them, and he didn’t want to track water throughout the house. So he parts with them, and quickly makes his way towards the kotatsu. “W-why are you up?”
A sigh of relief / eyes to gaze with concern. It panicked her to see Fay shiver, trembling-- wondering how long he had been out in the dark in such cruel conditions. His question surprised her especially, eyes to widen as her mind went blank. “ E--eh ? Of-- of course, I’m okay. . ! But Fay, you . . ! ”
She reacted quickly, offering to help with his garments. Quietly sitting across from Fay, Kisa spoke gently with her hands resting on her lap. “ I-- um, noticed that you weren’t back yet and got worried, so . . . ” She had planned to fall asleep with Tohru and yet no matter how long she closed her eyes / no matter how long she remained still / she just couldn’t empty her worrying mind. “ But, that isn’t important. . ! Fay, is-- is everything okay ? Did something happen ? ”
