My K-dramas list #2 2026
#1 (2024/2025)
LOVED
Pro Bono (프로보노, 2025-26, 12 eps) This was pleasant surprised. I started it because of Jung Kyung Ho and stayed because of the team! The themes were dark, but realistic. The ending hinted there is possible for another season and I want that! Hope it will happen!
To My Beloved Thief (은애하는 도적님아, 2026, 16eps) THIS was so good. The script, the chemistry, the characters. JUST everything. From not expecting much of it to become my favorite show of the year. Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min had so beautiful chemistry, and it just worked with them. Hope, they will choose some another project together, need them in modern type of romance! The story was progressing with its pace, but there were no boring moments, and everything made just sense in the end. The swap bodies moments weren't bad. Both actors were excellent of mimicking the other character so well without exaggerating it. I can only recommend if you love period pieces with strong characters and subtle type of romance, where he felt first and harder trope.
Undercover Miss Hong (언더커버 미쓰홍, 2026, 16eps) Another pleasant surprise of 2026. Park Shin Hye delivered as always. The female friendship, 90's setting, strong-willed MC. What more need!
The WONDERfools (원더풀스, 2026, 8 eps) It was so FUN. I haven't laughed that hard for so long. It wasn't perfect, the story had some holes, but you know, I don't mind, I had wonderful time. The main trio stole my heart. Park Eun Bin was hilarious, and her chemistry with Cha Eun Woo was really nice, wouldn't mind if they would shoot in future another drama together. Loved their weird friendship so much. It's kinda Korean stranger thing in 90´s. Can only recommend.
My royal nemesis (멋진신세계, 2026, 14eps) This one was surprise for me. I haven't planned to watch it, but the scenes from first two episodes made me and I'm glad for it, because this was excellent from very beginning until end, not very usual. The chemistry between main protagonist was so electrising. The script and the characters were written really well. If you want romcom with one of them comes from past type of story, it's right for you!
The Glory (더글로리, 2022-2023, 16eps) I finally watched this masterpiece. I was hesitant, because of bullying scenes, they are brutal. But I survived them. The story was written very well. Everything just clicked together. And the revenge was so satisfying. I liked how they ruin themself, Moon Dong Eun didn't need to do much dirty work. They did it alone, haha. So many plottwists I didn't see coming. I can only recommend.
ENJOYED
Study Group (스터디그룹, 2025, 10eps) Super addictive, very comic style, but it's adaptation, so that's why. Enjoyed the goofiness of our MC. Love how he clicked with his new study group! The fighting scenes were really nice and the OST.
If Wishes Could Kill (기리고, 2026, 8eps) I'm not that much horror fan, but this one got me intrigued and must say I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the plot and side characters as well. No boring moments, pretty bingeable.
The Scarecrow ( 허수아비, 2026, 12eps) It was bittersweet story which were well casted and acting was phenomenal, but it was so frustrating drama full of injustice, and only thinking about the fact it's based on real events. Horrifying. If you enjoy detective kind of story, full of corruption, then go watch it, you won't regret it.
Perfect Crown (21세기 대군부인, 2026, 12eps) I was enjoyable, characters had beautiful chemistry. Something was missing, but it didn't ruin the enjoyment of watching. Villains were pretty good and for 12-episodes drama it was concluded very well. Sad for the controversy though.
In Your Radiant Season (찬란한 너의 계절에, 2026, 12 eps) I wasn't planning to watch it, because trailer didn't interested me. But eventually I got curious and started it. And it is one of few where side couples overshadowed the main one, for me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every couple here, and the chemistry was so nice in all of them, but there were something about out youngest couple and their caring, and trusting each other. So beautiful. So healing as story was progressing.
Dali & Cocky Prince (달리와 감자탕, 2021, 16eps) I wanted to watch this show for so long. I've seen some scenes on my Instagram and it got me interested. Expected some fluffy romcom, but don't think it is that. There is comedy, there is romance, but there is also suffering of our FL. It was so unexpected, but don't be scared, it has balance between depressing and funny!
School 2017 (학교 2017, 2017, 16eps) I watched school drama after so long, and you know what I loved it. I enjoyed mostly romantic storyline, because the other stories wasn't well executed, or at lest not concluded very well. But I don't mind this in this drama, I was obsessed.
Idol I (아이돌아이 , 2025-26, 12 eps) This was my anticipated drama and I wasn't disappointed. Enjoyed the commentary of idol life and their sasaeng fans. But don't expect anything too deep dive commentary. I really enjoy the chemistry between main protagonist. Loved their supportiveness. If you enjoy Idol-fan storyline with a little bit mystery and sad backstories, I can recommend.
Can this love be translated? (이 사랑 통역 되나요?, 2026, 12eps) The story surprised me because it turned out to be different than I expected to be. Overall, I enjoyed it. The ending was too rushed for me, but it was alright. Enjoyed the chemistry, the characters itself.
LIKED
Absolute Value of Romance (로맨스의 절대값, 2026, 16eps) Very short drama, if you want something which isn't that deep, and doesn't take itself that seriously, it's the right thing for you! What it is about you wonder? High school student is writings BL stories, when new teachers arrived to her high school, she starts writing story about them.
Boyfriend on Demand (월간남친, 2026, 10eps) I liked the commentary about AI and how easy is to lose yourself in virtual world. Jisoo were good, I had finally chance to see her work and definitely want to see more. It was crazy, she had chemistry with everyone on the show! Unfortunately, even though I binged the show, I wasn't blown away by it. It was for me once and that's enough type of show.
OK
Siren’s Kiss (세이렌, 2026, 12eps) This mystery didn't work for me. I enjoyed some elements. But it was predictable, killer too obvious, some surprises appeared, but not enough to change my mind. Also, some intriguing actions happened like in last 4 episodes, which sucked., because first episode was really interesting and I was exciting for more, but then it was half of it behind me and still didn't happened much and I wasn't impressed . Biggest disappointment of the year.
