The Rules
How to fictober.
tag #fictober21 in the first five tags
put common warnings and triggers at the top and in the tags
state whether your entry is original fiction or fanfiction at the top
and if it’s fanfiction, what fandom (I copy and paste it into the reblog tags)
if you link to an AO3 post, please put an excerpt in the post that shows the prompt in use (don’t forget the warnings)
be patient for your reblog to appear, the queue is long
Just have fun!
Your fics can be as nsfw as you like, just add the warnings. You don’t have to do the prompts in order.
It would be immensely helpful if you would stick a header like this at the top:
for fanfiction:
Prompt number
Fanfiction Fandom: name/common abbreviation
Rating
Warnings: common triggers and warnings
for original fiction:
Prompt number
Original fiction: Name, story/WIP name (I’ll try to paste that into the tags)
Rating
Warnings: common triggers and warnings
I’ll add these things to the tags in the reblogs so that people can search for them on the blog (for instance finding all the fics in their favorite fandom).
Please be considerate of people’s dashes and put stories over 400 words under a Read More.
Common triggers and warnings:
Abuse
Death
Explicit Sexual Content
Pregnancy/Abortion/Miscarriage
Non-con/Rape
Racism/Homophobia/Misogyny
Torture/Gore
Suicide/Suicidal Thoughts
BDSM
As a general rule, tag for things that could hurt someone if they had to read it unprepared.
