Part 1 of my photo project for Fundamentals of Photography II class. Shot on 35 mm film. Titled “Lost in Head Space”. Silver gelatin by me (LAURA RAPPOLD)
These are by no means perfect prints, but this semester was so rough that I am happy with these.
Part 2 of Fundamentals of Photography II Final Project. Silver gelatin prints titled “Trapped in Head Space” by LAURA RAPPOLD shot on 35 mm film
I didn’t love how my final photo project came out for my digital photography class. Here’s some from the series anyway, because I haven’t really shown anyone. They are religious events done with pop culture and brand references. I will be redoing the project eventually without the labels, because I think they ruined the photos.
Photo #1 in my light study project for Intro to Digital Photography. This one uses a portable flash. No title yet, but it’s from a larger series that is titled “Texas Roadside Attractions”. Digital photo taken by me, LAURA RAPPOLD

I’ve been learning about so many male photographers in art school, because photography was, and still is, a male dominated art form. It was really refreshing and inspiring to find an artist that I responded to so strongly that was also a woman.
