S U N D A Y, OCTOBER 4TH. LOCATION : REPUBLIK with @margothughes.
it’d been a hell of a long time since his last visit to Magnolia Springs, let alone being of a legal drinking age, so this was his first trip to Republik. He’d drank himself quite heavily at an Irish bar just outside of town the other night, so since his return to the place his mother called him, he’d not been on the social scene too much. Apparently, he felt like changing that much tonight. Hence his visit to the most frequented bar within the town confines. The owner seemed decent enough, tending to his orders so far this evening, after indulging in conversation, as bartenders usually did for a few moments. Alas, his attention was otherwise stolen by a newfound patron approaching to his left, whether she was just entering the building now, or she’d been here the entire time, he couldn’t be sure. He hadn’t paid much attention before placing himself at the bar; whiskey in hand, no ice. His usual. “You from around here?” He questioned, head turning slightly to face her. “Not a pick up. Just a guy trying to get the lay of the land.” It was obvious he stuck out like a sore thumb, more so when the English accent emulated from him.
S U N D A Y, OCTOBER 4TH. LOCATION : DINAH’S with @rebecca-walsh.
After a long night, Killian was currently nursing a hangover, and therefore, after hours of debating entering the world, his first pit stop was of course Dinah’s. A place that he remembered fondly from past trips to town with his mother, considering she was friend with the owner. If there was anything he needed right now, it was sustenance and above all else, caffeine. So, as he seated himself, he glanced over the menu before watching the waitress tend to orders that weren’t being taken at the counter, a clear indication that these individuals had every intention to remain within the establishment with their orders. However, his attention was rapidly stolen by the red head, familiarity washing over him, as a smile broadened his features. “Bex?” He called out, of course more rhetorical than anything, he knew it was her. He’d spent the afternoon prior catching up with her husband. Old Harvard buddies, with more connections, it seemed. He rose from his table, a clear indication it was him that had raised his voice across the room to grasp at her attention, hoping she would proceed towards his current table.
S A T U R D A Y, OCTOBER 3RD. LOCATION : BRENNAN’S with @brennanxwalsh.
It always amazed him, how small the world was. The pair met years ago, at Harvard. But, apparently they had much more in common than that of their education, and that was Magnolia Springs. Killian’s mother was from here, before marrying her father, but it wasn’t too often that they came back to visit here specifically. Once or twice over the course of his childhood. Mostly. they jumped around, having the funds to do so. Whether that was NYC, Miami, back to England. London, Hampshire, Liverpool. Wherever. No real concept of ‘home’, not in the same sense that perhaps his old friend had. And as luck would have it, or in this unfortunate case, bad luck, considering Brennan’s return was for his mother’s recent death, the pair were once again reunited.
Killian had made his way to the temporary residence that Brennan was crashing in, having received the address from their prior run-in. A gentle knock to the door, after arriving at the agreed time. He was unsure whether his wife would also be present, Rebecca, a face he had also met during his days at Harvard, considering how inseparable she and Bren were during those trying and studious years. Thankfully, it hadn’t taken long for him to greet his old friend, a smirk present on his lips as he nodded in greeting towards his company. “Hey, man.” He wasn’t sure what they were going to do, necessarily, but a good catch-up and ensuring he was handling matters well seemed to be top of the to-do list at the very least. “How you doin’?” He questioned almost immediately.
