Both were convicted of the murders of Pauline Reade (16, middle right), John Kilbride (12, middle), Keith Bennett (12, middle left), Lesley Ann Downey (10, bottom left), and Edward Evans (17, bottom right).

Myra died on 15 November 2002 from bronchial pnuemonia caused by heart disease, and Ian has been detained in Ashworth Hospital since 1985.

Now aged 77, Ian appears to show no remorse for the murders he and Myra committed and, last month, sent Christmas cards to friends. During his time in hospital, Ian has attempted to commit suicide but failed each time. He now feels that he is ‘nearing death’ and has written a will, which has been given to his solicitors.

Behind the most infamous mug shot in History

Myra Hindley (pictured above) and Ian Brady are England’s most hated serial killers. Known as the Moors Murders, the two collectively raped, tortured and killed five children between 1963 and 1965 and buried them on Saddleworth Moor. The above mugshot taken days after their arrest has become a cultural icon. Dubbed by the media as “The most evil woman in Britain”, Hindley’s set jaw, swept platinum blonde hair and cold glare a symbol of depravity.   Hindley herself tells a different story. In one of her many letters to author Duncan Staff she stated that she was taken to the basement of the police station where she believed she was going to be beaten during an interrogation. She clenched her teeth in defiance only to have her picture ‘unexpectedly’ taken. Staff believes that Hindley made up the story to seem like a frightened and bullied girl by the police and thus less accountable for how the final image turned out.

Anneliese Michel (September 21, 1952 – July 1, 1976) was a German Catholic girl who was “possessed by demons” and subsequently underwent an exorcism. Following the last exorcism and after warning her mother that she could take no more, Anneliese died in her sleep.

16-year-old Mario Padilla and his cousin Samuel Ramirez, only a year younger than him, had become hooked on the Scream movies and planned to carry out a similar attack as in the movies in their schools, involving knives, Grim Reaper costumes, and a voice box distortion. The boys could not afford the costumes, so they took a trip to Mario’s mother’s house and attacked her with a butcher knife. Mario stabbed her so hard that the knife actually broke off in her body, so he ordered Samuel to fetch a second butcher knife from the kitchen. Mario stopped once he figured she was dead. As he was washing his hands, his dying mother said, ‘’My son, why?’’ In response, Mario stuffed her mouth with cloth and continued to stab her. In total, she was stabbed 47 times. The boys then stole $140 and fled from the bloody crime scene.

The only remorse Mario ever expressed was while he was held in juvenile hall, he carved into the wall by his bed, ‘’I love you mom I’m sorry.’’ Mario received life in prison, while Samuel received 25 years.

Sandra Bland was not alive in her mugshot. When you are arrested, you are pictured in the clothes you are arrested in, not in prison clothes. When they take your picture, you are told not to tilt your head or lean against the wall. There is a clear shadow where her head touches the background, most likely the floor. Her cell had tan walls and gray floors. Her head is on a gray background. You can clearly see the gray floor in the first photo and in the right corner in the second photo. Her hair is falling towards the background. Gravity is pulling her hair down because she is on the floor. It is impossible to keep your shoulder straight like her right shoulder is while standing. It is likely that she was on the ground with her right arm outstretched when this picture was taken. When they take your picture, you are told to look directly at the camera. Her eyes are lifeless and unfocused. The police department claims she hung herself from a 5-foot platform when Sandra was around 6 feet tall. The photo of her cell has a trash can in it. Trashcans are not allowed in jail cells because they can not be bolted to the floor. Police claim the scene was not tampered with before the photo, but the trash bag they claim she hung herself with has been replaced with a new one. Sandra told her sister on the phone that she thought her shoulder was broken. Someone with a broken shoulder can not lift their arm high enough to hang themself. The dashcam footage from her arrest is clearly edited, as cars appear and disappear in the middle of the road. The officers knew they were wrong in arresting her. They knew she was going to take them to court. She was a strong-spirited activist. She did not go from being a fighter to being suicidal in a matter of days. The police fucking murdered her and their pathetic attempts at hiding it are not fooling anybody.
