smth to know about my portrayal of heather mcnamara : in my main verse , she was in love with heather chandler . blindly in love , the only person’s feelings she really cared about were heather’s . every move , every word , was done to put herself in the other girl’s favor . she thinks she hides it well , but she doesn’t – at all . that’s why she puts up with kurt as much as she does , why she seems to care about literally nobody . heather duke is her best friend , and comes as a close second . but always being put second is partially what fuels the rage directed at the blonde after heather chandler’s passing . once heather dies , she clings on to the remnants of her life and tries so hard to be the same , but she can’t . because the only thing that defined her is dead and gone . her mental health spirals , and after everything , she really does try to be better . it’s just easier said than done . i do not excuse any of her bullying !! this is just me explaining her reasoning .
