First of all, Ace would be the best dad to have ever existed. He would totally spoil his babies and make sure they are always happy. 

His daughter resembles you almost completely but has his cute lil freckles and a smile like his, he literally almost cries when ever she smiles because it makes him so happy-

Y’all remember Kim Kardashian crying over her daughter North during a fashion show or sumn? That’s definitely Ace as a parent, you can’t convince me otherwise.

Anyways, since now it’s his princess’ bday? You know its a mess.

He’s literally so stressed about gifts, at a point he gives up and goes and buys everything in his sight. Clothes, shoes, teddy bears, robots, books, literally anything he could think of. 

Yes he looted some pirates to get so much cash but hey its for the greeter deed.

You can totally expect the whole house to be decorated before she wakes up tbh.

The Tumblr writing community is dying.

It’s something I’ve noticed over the past two years of using this site. It was gradual, imperceptible at first, something that most would brush off as a silly concern, or fault Tumblr algorithm for. While it’s true that Tumblr’s engine leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve noticed that even popular blogs have started to dwindle in terms of interaction or motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest two I’ve noticed, experienced myself, and asked fellow writers about is this: (1) content being stolen, and (2) lack of feedback or interaction. I’ve never seen any logical person defend content being stolen, so I want to address point 2 instead.

Lack of feedback and interaction. I’m not saying this on my behalf so much as I’m saying this for friends and smaller blogs who have lost motivation to write. I was looking at my yandere writing blogs list the other day and noticed that a good majority of them no longer write. I usually update the list every few months, and by that point, more and more writers have stopped writing entirely. This isn’t a problem confined solely to the yandere fandom; in fact, there’s less writing blogs in general these days, especially ones that are active. I used to run a very popular BNHA blog with some friends, but that dissolved after our content was stolen and our followers stopped interacting as much. Out of our 8,500 followers, we hardly got 0.015% notes (~128 notes) on an average post. Tumblr is to blame for the lack of eyes seeing our posts, for sure, but that also means that at least 128 people saw one post and didn’t leave a comment or ask. We were considered a big blog; imagine what it’s like on a small blog.

My friend recently made a post that summed this up perfectly: 

“I’ve seen people say “Be grateful that people even lurk on your page.” and, while I get the message they’re trying to say, it’s more dismissive and hurtful in my opinion. Like you’re saying, “Oh your writing is mediocre, you should be grateful people even LOOK at it.”

Me personally? I’ve heard the argument that AO3 is a better place to post fanfics, and while that might be true, I’ve had friends experience firsthand the lack of interaction there too. I’ve heard the argument that interacting with some writers is intimidating (me included). I’ve heard that argument that followers might be too shy to interact. I’ve heard the argument that writers should write for themselves and not for views / likes / reblogs / etc, and while that’s ideal, it’s not sustainable for everyone. What works for one writer won’t work for another, but you know what will? Interaction.

That comment or ask that took you 2 seconds to write? We remember it. That reblog with the compliments in the tags? We remember it. Every single ‘named’ anon we get (heart anon, sunflower anon, etc)? We remember them. And the best part is? It’s actually easier to do these things on Tumblr since you have the option to send anonymous asks or make a sideblog specifically for reblogs! Trust me, whether the lack of interaction is the cause of a lack of motivation or what have you, every writer appreciates feedback (don’t be shy to offer some critique or compliments) or even a simple keyboard smash with some emojis. Even sitting down for 5 min a day per week to comment on your favorite writers’ new pieces makes a huge difference. Personally, since Tumblr’s activity feed is beyond terrible and I have over 1,500 posts, I don’t always see new reblogs or comments on my content; asks though? Always see those, can never go wrong with those. If you don’t want to reblog or leave a comment, then you can never go wrong with an anonymous ask. 

As my wise friend says: writing is an art, and in order to improve that art, we need other people’s eyes to see what we don’t.

Great post, so great that I’m hijacking it to call attention to the elephant in the room because I think we’re all more than ready to have this talk: 

If you’re a writer and you refuse to like/reblog the content of others that you enjoy, take the time to think about why you feel that way. Do you just not read fanfiction that isn’t your own? Do you think the quality of writing here is low? Do you get jealous when other writers get notes? Do you get upset at the idea of someone else benefitting from your following? I want you to ask yourself these questions with leniency because there’s nothing wrong about feeling this way, and you’re definitely not the only one who does. Nevertheless, consider that you may be a part of the problem when you say that no one interreacts with your writing anymore/the community is dying. 

There’s a big difference between reblogging a fic on your account with over 10k followers and reblogging it on your side account with 30. There’s a big difference between ‘clout chasing’ and someone wanting their favorite author to read a piece they worked really hard on. If you won’t take the time to respond to the comments that you DO get, are you justified in getting upset that you don’t get more/you don’t get as much as you used to? If you genuinely believe that you are the best writer in any given fandom/niche, your ego is going to make you miserable when your engagement doesn’t reflect that.

I don’t say this standing on a soap box, tsking at my fellow writers. I say this as someone who didn’t even see the value in reading/sharing the work of others until very recently in my writing career. If your ego is unchecked, I want you to know that practicing a little selflessness goes a long way for your confidence in yourself, your writing, your standings in the community, and with your peers.

If you are here for an individualist experience, that’s fine, but don’t get upset when you don’t get the benefits of a collective experience. By no means is anyone saying you HAVE to put the work of others on a blog for your writing, but if you’re only ever taking and never giving, you can’t reasonably expect this community to sustain itself.

I’m going to hijack this post even further! OP’s words are very true and beautifully written. Kazooli makes very, very good points here, and I love the tags that Raph highlighted. I want to bring this to the SFW part to the writing community of the fandom because I deliver only SFW content, and every single person in any fandom should see this. I don’t care if you’re against NSFW content or dark content or whatever because if you’re so high up your horse that you can’t see the difference between black and white and the difference between fiction and reality, you need to get a life that lets you breathe some fresh air outside your online life.

I don’t think I would have ever realized the value of interaction until someone placed me on a call-out over this summer. I got accused of things I never did because their jealousy of my friendships with others. I got harassed for my exit from a fandom writing group because I was uncomfortable there. I don’t think I would ever realized the value of interaction in a fandom before this event. I took it for granted, and in a very ironic way, I’m thankful for the call-out post because I needed to value things a lot more — the comments and feedback on my works. It was a good wake-up call. I’m not thankful for the lies on that call-out post. Sure, I was heartbroken by the way people had abandoned me because they believed someone without even talking to me first, but I was thankful for the wake-up call.

After the fiasco, I took my first step in responding to comments, in responding to every ask I get, and so much more. I realized that I needed to treasure them more.

Putting this into perspective, I’m really disappointed by the new influx of blogs in the fandoms I’m in because they don’t reblog other people’s writing. You can tell if a writer’s here for the fandom experience or if they’re there for themselves. Truly, there’s nothing wrong with being here for yourself because the only way to enjoy a fandom experience is to write for yourself and no one else. On the other hand, supporting your fellow writers is another point. The readers can only do so much themselves because they will desperately try to support you in the best way they can. There are only so many of them, and their reblog will only reach short. Don’t blame them. I’m sure there are some readers out there who don’t realize that we do this out of our own free time, but there are those who appreciate your writing, so please don’t put them on blast when there are other things to consider from this detrimental time.

I was ranting about this to my friends earlier this morning because I had seen a post complaining about the lack of interaction that the blogger had for probably the umpteenth time this week. Why do you think is that? It’s pretty obvious. In terms of reblogs, a reblog carries more weight if it’s from a blog with 10K followers, not from a reblog blog with 30 followers. If it’s for the aesthetics, fuck them. It’s you who runs your own blog, sure, but you’re in control of your blog. No one’s going to judge you for bringing attention to a good fic out there.

This next part is directed toward SFW/minor writers who have been kindly showering my dash with complaints about the lack of interaction they have.

It’s ironic that minors in these fandoms are the majority on my dash who complain about interaction. They’re the ones who drove out people from their blog, and I also know the SFW blogs are bearing the burden of this lack of interaction. I’ve seen a lot of NSFW blogs move to other blogs because of the constant harassment. Strangely enough, SFW/minor blogs never get this harassment because they’re the ones who target those blogs.

It’s human psychology to go somewhere secure and safe if you don’t feel comfortable. This is why most adults started avoiding SFW blogs in fear that they would be harassed. If they reblogged something to share it with their followers, they would be a “pedophile.” To be honest, I remember that a lot of my reblogs came from NSFW blogs. As a minor myself, I have never initiated contact with an adult in a NSFW manner. However, when I talked with them about other things, they talked about how they enjoyed my writing, not anything NSFW. I talked with them about fandom theories and fandom content. I would share art and fics I found with them through DMs because I was excited to be in a fandom. 

If you open your mind a little more, you would realize that NSFW blogs actually have a wider and bigger audience than SFW blogs. NSFW blogs’ followers tend to be more interactive than SFW blogs. It’s because NSFW blogs are guaranteed to produce content that is of a quality that people want to keep coming back for. People follow because they know what they’re going to get from them. With SFW blogs, it’s harder to say what they’re going to get. When NSFW blogs reblog SFW blogs’ content, their followers are sure to flock to those recs because they’re guaranteed a quality that is expected. This interaction shortly stopped because of the SFW blogs harassing them, and of course, they would avoid them. NSFW blogs enjoy SFW content, but if it’s a detriment, they’ll avoid it. NSFW blogs and SFW blogs used to interact freely, but I’m not sure when this was all forgotten on Tumblr.

A fandom is about support, and frankly, lately these days, it doesn’t look like support. It looks like people complaining about their note count; it looks like people getting mad that someone got more notes than them; and it looks like people getting mad that NSFW does better than SFW. I want there to be a fandom where everyone is happy and feel comfortable with sharing content, and everyone can appreciate what they’ve made, so appreciate each other at the very least; don’t harass each other. I hope my message reaches you once you understand this.

If you’re a content creator, help each other get the attention you all deserve. There’s this saying called you reap what you deserve, and I hope you understand it applies to fandoms. We are what make up a fandom, and we ourselves determine if a fandom dies or not. A fandom won’t die if you support each other. If you’re a reader, you’re doing great! We appreciate every single comment and ask we get, and we’ll remember it for life and treasure them and cry over them and so much more.

Kenma sighed looking at the time as he massaged his shoulders

It had been an awfully exhausting day for Kenma. The sudden surge of paper work, a live stream and then editing his YouTube videos definitely did drain every ounce of energy from his mind, body and soul.

Not willing to do anything more he walked his way to your shared bedroom, just to find you awake, watching something on your phone. Upon hearing the voice coming out of the speaker he immediately knew the person you were watching videos of was, him.

The fact that you’re still wanting to watch him despite being together all the time, brought a blush upon his delicate features yet it was heart-warming gesture in his eyes.

“Haven’t slept yet?”

“Yeah-also I don’t remember the last time we slept before 3 am.”

Yeah you both disliked sleeping and definitely the time to pull all-nighters just to play games and regret it in the morning.

Though the sudden realization of your bad habits caught him a but off guard earning a chuckle from him. Despite the exhaustion neither of you were exhausted enough to not play a game before you both could actually go to bed.

He took out his switch before joining you in the bed and turning on animal crossing for a refresher. You gently pulled him into your arms, making his head rest on your chest as you watched him turn the game on while gently running your hands through his hair. The calm rhythm of your heartbeat relived him from the accumulated stress of the day,

Kenma, knows that you LOVE to watch him play games, he knew what exactly he had to do to please you. Deciding to give you a special island tour telling you about every small detail, informing how much time he took to create it, showing you his treasured orchard where he planted trees only of your favourite fruit, how he named the things after memories of you. Continuing to discuss how he could further develop and expand his island.

Kenma isn’t the type to openly tell you how much he loves you, more he feels like no matter how he arranges all the words the world has to give he still wouldn’t be able to tell you completely about the depth of his emotions for you.

Talking about the games and remembering every small detail about the time you both have spent together through the years was his love language and he’s glad you could understand it.

Once they know that you’re staying on the team for them, they’d be so touched by it because its definitely not easy to make such a hard decision.

Once you’re done telling them, they’ll give you a group hug and assure you that they’d always be with you to support you no matter what.

THEY ARE RESPECTFUL KINGS- 

Once they know about gender identity, they become so respectful of your privacy, like letting you change alone if you’re not comfortable with changing with the boys.

They will ask your pronouns first and foremost, ask you if you want to be called by any another name. They just want to make you feel safe and comfortable with them
