Ethan looked up at Kimber then patted on the floor next to him. “Of course. Is everything alright?”Â
“Yeah, I’ve just been thinking a lot. It’s amazing what a bunch of kids and a few professors did, you know? I was so negative the whole time, and everyone just proved me wrong. It was amazing.” she said, leaning her head against the wall. “I think I’ve had an epiphany.”
Kimber sat on the floor in the hall, twisting a cap from a drink she had hidden in her bunk long ago. She had been thinking about her place in this world, everyone’s place really. With the end of the conflict had become the beginning of a new Kimber. She wanted to be different, she wanted to mean something. She looked up at the person who approached her and smiled “Hey, wanna sit? I kind of feel like talking.” she said, yearning for interaction.
Group Black
“Falsdom has just hidden himself in one of the most safely guarded buildings in the entire wizarding world. And the tunnels would have been fine without all these extra spells. It’s got to be a defensive move. That’s literally the only thing that make sense. And if he can keep people out of here, he can stayed holed up here indefinitely.” Aidan shrugged. “Could be wrong. But everything at this point seems defensive.”
“Yeah, well he holed himself up in a castle full of people pretty ready to fight back. God this is all so crazy.”
Group Black
“I’m not bothered,” Aidan said, because he really wasn’t. It was the last thing on his mind. Then she said something that made him shake his head. “This is not to keep the kids in,” he assured her. “I think it’s to keep other people out.”
“That’s a hell of a length to go to. What exactly is their plan here? Not many people even know how to navigate these tunnels.”
{Group Black}
“Just keep trying. We all just have to keep trying.” Briony offered with a small smile, hoping the other didn’t rebuff her efforts at encouraging her. Though it was the last thing she felt like doing - keeping up hope and being encouraging - she knew she had to, or she’d go crazy, herself. “We’ll get out. It’s denting, so at least we’re doing something.”
Kimber appreciated the gentle support and smiled back. “Thanks, yeah, that’s all we can do, is keep trying. Yeah, but the dents just seem superficial. All we need is one really good hit. I just feel bad for the kids, having to see this.”
Group Black
“The kids are as fine as they can be. Just waiting for us to get this wall down,” Amelia stated. “Hopefully we are making progress even if it doesn’t feel like it.”Â
“That enchantment is incredibly strong. I can’t believe they would stoop this low.” she said, shaking her head. “I keep trying to think of the other tunnels but, I can’t think of any that will take us where we need to be.” she said, thinking out loud more than anything. She realized she shouldn’t know about these tunnels and closed her eyes, hoping Amelia wouldn’t notice.

When Aidan felt someone bump into him, he frowned, standing up to see what was going on. But Kimber was already apologizing and he waved her off. “Better me than a kid,” he said. Then he didn’t know how to answer her question. “They’re… kids.”
“I’ll pay more attention. Hey, also I’m sorry for snapping at you earlier, with the potions, I just get worked up sometimes. No one needs to be snapped at right now.” she said. “The wall is just, not budging. It’s amazing how strong of an enchantment it is. I can’t believe they would go as low as blocking kids in.”
Group Black
Bryce had taken several turns at the wall and frustration at barely making a dent made him take a step back and switch with one of the others, comforting the second years. He was sitting on the balls of his feet, talking about anything and everything to keep their minds off of where they are and what was happening in the castle, when someone bumped into him and if he hadn’t put his hand on the wall he would have flattened them. He turned and grinned, “apart from almost being flattened because someone bumped into me, they’re good” he said, standing up. “How is the wall looking now?” he asked, peering over her shoulder at the other students trying to knock it down.
She felt a wave of comfort come over her at the sight of Bryce’s face. He was safe, that was important. When he asked about the wall she shook her head. “It’s like, no matter how hard we attack it, it just stays. That’s a strong enchantment, the strongest I’ve ever seen.” she said, gulping. She was nervous. “We just have to get out of here.” she said, finally.
Group Black
Kimber bit her nail, pacing as she waited for her turn to throw the curse at the wall. This was unfair, blocking the children in here. They didn’t ask for this, this was their home and now they wouldn’t be able to feel safe in it again. Just as she was deepest in thought she walked right into someone. “I’m sorry, sorry. How are the kids?” she said, looking over at the small group of Gryffindors.
{Group Black}
“Hey, it’s okay. We’ll get the wall down in no time. You just stay here, I’ll check on you again in a bit.” Briony smiled at a particularly frightened second year, before walking closer to the wall that blocked their way, to another older student. “Have you done it yet?”
“Reducto!” she shouted, throwing the curse toward the wall. She was glad for her education at Hogwarts, suddenly seeing it’s value. She turned toward Briony shaking her head sadly. “No. nothing. Just little dents. I don’t know how we’re going to get out of here.”
Groups Red & Black
He put his arms around her and pulled her close, “you’re really cute, you know that?” he asked, chuckling slight. “I want to be with you too, how could I not? I’d be an idiot not to want someone as amazing as you” he smiled. “Well, of course” he grinned, cheekily. “Seriously though, I just want you to be safe… and I want to kiss you again” he said, a little nervously though he didn’t know why. He was still getting used to the idea that the girl he wanted, wanted him back.
“I’m glad you think so.” she said, feeling a blush overtake her face. “Then it’s decided, you’re stuck with me Goodwyn.” she said, feeling safe in his arms among all the chaos. She leaned up an kissed him, knowing that soon they’d have to leave, and who knew what would happen then.

He chuckled and shook his head, “I would never do that, I’m not the run away screaming type” he said, before frowning at her next words. “What do you mean it doesn’t have to mean anything?” he asked, trying not to show his upset at her words. “It means something to me, doesn’t it to you? I know the reason why you leave, that would never be an issue…” he said, not sure what she was trying to say. “Do you want to be with me?” he asked, now a little nervous. He had thought the kiss meant that she did, but her words had made him doubt that she wanted him after all. He was comforted by her hand on his face and leaned into it sighing softly. “I won’t leave your sight, I promise” he said, sincerely. “It’s nice to know that you worry about me" he admitted, “I don’t want it to distract you though”.
“I just...I don’t know...I don’t want to pressure you to do anything.” she said, cursing herself for saying anything in the first place. “I want to be with you, I really do. I’m just making sure you feel the same way.” she said. “True, that cute face of yours could be very distracting.” she said, rolling her eyes.
