Inktober 2019 day 31: returning home.

Colette finally returned home as the golden leaves that grew around her house were falling with the changing seasons. Incredibly happy to see a familiar face again, she threw herself into a hug with Hazel.

We have arrived at the end of inktober! Thank you so much for sticking around and following my little witch. Hope you enjoyed the ride! Are Colette and Hazel just best friends or something more? You can decide for yourself! I haven't really thought about it.

Inktober 2019 day 29: power source.

At the source of the magical river Colette could finally collect her final ingredient. The mermaid kept watch to make sure nothing bad would happen again.

Inktober 2019 day 28: pick up the pieces.

While Colette dried herself with a quick spell, the kind mermaid dove down again to retrieve Colette's bag that was lost somewhere in the water.

Luckily not all of the water's inhabitants were hostile. The mermaid made quick work of the pesky kelp trapping Colette.

The magical waters did not take kindly to intruders.

The road to the final missing ingredient was nonexistent, but no matter, a witch can make her own road.

To Colette's great delight, the village had a millinery shop with a nice collection of witch hats.

The village had a serene atmosphere with a quietly streaming river and trees that gently swayed in the distance.

Inktober 2019 day 22: powerful artifact + summoning

Now that the weather was better, Colette finally felt like changing out of her ripped clothing. Luckily she had a spare set in her bag. She didn't have a second hat however. With the help of a powerful talisman Colette then made a call to Hazel to tell them all about her adventure so far.

The sky cleared up and Colette's mood was instantly lifted. In the distance she spotted a village.

Inktober 2019 day 20: lost in the rain.

While the rain is no problem for a witch, it still brings down the atmosphere and Colette was already not having a great day. Her griffin tried very hard to cheer her up.

Colette had hoped she wouldn't have to kill the snake, but unfortunately things didn't go as planned. It's a victory with mixed feelings.

After heeding the warnings outside, Colette carefully explored the ruins. She was sure one of the ingredients she needed could be found here.

Always take the time to read and translate the runes outside a cave or ruins, they're likely to be warnings.

Inktober 2019 day 14: sitting ‘round the fire(flies)

As night fell Colette made her way to the fields where the golden fireflies appeared. With some patience she caught a few and thus the first missing ingredient has been collected.
