Faebruary 5: A Huldra!
Should I make something similar for my January Bookmark of the Month?
The original bookmarks, “Fragmented,” were made with ink and bleach on black paper.
I think adding more gold ink linework made a huge difference.
Some gold inks (and other metallics) have particles of mica that want to un-mix from the liquid part of the ink and fall to the bottom of the bottle so you have to stir them periodically while you're writing. I just saw this video by Flourished Hope on YouTube where she uses a small magnetic-pill stirring device (3:40) like they have in chemistry labs, to keep the ink stirred while writing. I'm not sure if I'm going to get one but I thought it was worth mentioning in case it helps other scribes.
