Let’s vote on our goofy pokemon! As a reminder, this little guy will be pure Electric-type and it is meant to be goofy and joke-ish (think Farfetch’d, Stunfisk, Dunsparce). We required that artists include a description to help explain the goofiness, so we’ll include that data here as well. That said, some of the descriptions may need to be rewritten to be more dex-like. :)
raikourider: It lives on the bottom of the sea and uses bio-luminescence to create a scary appearance to ward off predators. In better lighting, it looks ridiculous. (Note: the art has been redrawn since the initial submission.)
z-nogyrop: They are pathetically weak and must use the iron objects their magnetic field pulls in to fight. However, they seem to hate to do so. // Their body is too round to allow proper movement, so they are forced to grudgingly use the metal items they draw in to move around.
utter-hypocrisy: Octullite can be found in any dark place. Their bodies are filled with neon gas which keeps them afloat. They feed off electrical charges created by the brains of living organisms, if they go without feeding for more than three days they will lose all energy and sink to the ground unable to move. But when buzzing with electricity they are filled with spirit and static their bright colours glow vibrantly as electricity surges through their body. Though they are commonly found lethargic and tired due to their inability to reach the skulls of other species, they aren’t taken seriously by other trainers and are thus unpopular pokemon used by trainers.
MachoCheeze: This overly friendly Pokémon loves to give high fives with it’s suction cup hands. What it doesn’t realize is that its hands get stuck on whoever it high fives resulting in a bad shock for that person.
swampertman: It likes to swim and make friends with Water-types, but often electrocutes them by mistake.
bobbobbybobson: Dumbobsi started appearing once wifi came along before that they were rarely found and they were only found in little man caves.
sollyinpurplepants: The fins on its head are as big as its body, making it difficult to walk or even float. As a result, its odd walking gait is subject to jokes by people. // It sucks air into its trunk-like mouth before shooting sparks. However, it has to shoot the sparks multiple times to do even moderate damage. (Note: the art was redrawn by MachoCheeze.)
randomfakemons: A dumbo octopus that isn’t really a dumbo. It uses its powerful brain to release electrical impulses.
raikourider: It hates the rain, but somehow always find itself caught out in storms. (Note: We didn’t notice that this one was missing data, so I just wrote something quick for it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
the-lightest-shadow: Because of its small, thin legs, travel on land is nearly impossible for this pokemon. Despite this, it remains purely electric for reasons unknown. It can glide for some time. It cannot, however, fly.
11. pokemonbreederniels: This pokémon is prey for a lot of pokemon and so it usually hides itself almost all day. Unfortunately the pearl on its head gives away most of it’s hiding places. // This pokémon uses it’s pearl to reflect sunshine into the eyes of scary enemy’s. When its pearl is broken it is too scared to get into battle.
12. utter-hypocrisy: This pokemon loves to mimic other pokemon, It enjoys constantly changing it’s shape and getting it’s trainer to guess what it is impersonating. The only issue is this pokemon is horrible at mimicry, due to its lack of intellect this pokemon believes that it is imitating a specific pokemons shape when in reality it looks no different from its original form (It can however imitate a Joltik rather well though that’s about it). When it’s trainer wrongly guesses the thing this pokemon is imitating this pokemon will release a vicious discharge of electricity frying everything around it. Unfortunately most trainers are unable to co-operate with this pokemon due to the continuous electrifying tantrums they face after inevitably guessing the wrong pokemon in this pokemons game of charades.
13. toldentops: These fragile pokemon are afraid of everything, so it uses electricity to defend itself, however, it’s scared of it’s own electrical antennae and sometimes shocks itself.
14. sableye-of-the-tiger: The spots lining the inside this pokemon’s rubber-like overcoating secrete a powerful adhesive when it finds a place to rest, making it impossible to move. It loves to stick to high up places in this manner. // This pokemon’s overcoating is capable of withstanding over 10,000 mega-volts of electricity at a time. Therefore, despite its clumsy weight, many trainers prefer to place it on their heads or parasols during particularly dangerous storms.
15. hatfights: This little guy likes to play pranks, but if you don’t think his pranks are funny, you get zapped from the little chimney in his head!
16. kirakinn: Dumbolt live in coastal areas. They are very clumsy swimmers, and often bump into their surroundings. They try to make friends with bigger pokemon to protect them, as they are pitiful battlers.
