From time to time life can feel like a lot. As makers, artists, creative entrepreneurs we may wear many different hats and juggle what seems like a million roles. Sometimes we have a side hustle that is much more important that the day job. All of that is normal and totally ok. When asked what you do, or just even in your mind, how do you identify? "I am and artist." or "I am starting a creative business." feels way better than "I work a day job that pays the bills but what I am born to do is dance." You can say you are a dancer, that is a-ok. We are baaaaack! We had some time off from Instagram to regroup and think about what we wanted to share with all of you. This time gave us the chance to reflect on the fact that Kind Aesthetic has been going strong for three years (yay!) and we are so lucky to have worked with so many amazing artists and creative entrepreneurs... For us, (Andrea and Sara) one year has brought incredible changes, most notably new baby girls for both of us! Creating community sometimes just takes a fun idea and spreading the word. We love this shot from our #delve food and art event @nymediacenter last summer. (see their amazing video wall as the backdrop!) Artist @emiliebaltz challenged the crowd to see and taste food in new ways. The crowd was paired up on the floor plugging each other's noses 👃! The idea behind this particular DELVE event was to explore different ways artists and thinkers used food as their medium to help us experience and learn about the world. Great fun it was!
