This week, I wrote 3 chapters for Mind Your Step and for The Hunter’s Creed, as well as one for Harker, for the commission, the side project, as well as the first chapter for book 14 of Monsters and Bad Men
This week, I edited 3 chapters for Mind Your Step and The Hunter’s Creed, as well as 1 for Harker and Going Home.
I have more storage…well, potentially.
I had a friend visit over the weekend, and as every time he does, we did some work around my room. His previous visit led to changing the old cracked cement sink in the basement, this one led to building a storage box to go in my shelves.
I have an old, but still quite functional, IKEA Gorn(not certain about the name of the system) that I bought way back when I had my first apartment in Ontario. I love how modular it is, and it replaced what was previously milk crates and laminated shelves held together with zip-ties.
The main issue I’ve encountered is that once it’s against the wall, that modular aspect sort of goes away because it’s basically impossible to remove the screws holding the back of the shelves unless I pull the entire thing away from the wall. And that’s a chore.
So what I’ve ended up doing is using my old milk crates and other plastic crates I bought over the years since I no longer have access to my milk crate supplier(he was back in Trois-Rivières) and at least those new crates are so cheaply made then might as well be cardboard for the ways they sag.
So I figured we’d upgrade that with wood.
Instead of four crates, it’s now one box divided into four. Because this is made to measure, there is less wasted space, which gives me more storage.
Because I have no where to put the crates I decided to leave them behind this box and possibly use them as extra storage when I clean up the rest of my shelves and find things there that deserve long term storage.
And that’s what happened this Week.
