What Primal Source are You?
The Ocean
Your Primal Source is THE OCEAN! Like all rivers flow to the sea, you know that everyone and everything is connected. A peaceful soul, you value friendship, love, and family above all else in life. Empathetic and outgoing, you make friends easily, and people are drawn to your personality. In life, you’re willing to go with the flow, and you can adapt to pretty much anything and keep a cool head. You wear your heart on your sleeve, and with love so easily given, betrayal and lies strike you deeply -- you are icy and unforgiving only to those who dare strike at your big heart.

✧・゚: *✧・゚* ARRANGED MARRIAGE SENTENCE STARTERS
A small collection of starters connected to arranged marriages. Feel free to adapt them as needed!
“You are… very different of what I had expected.”
“I will run away before I ever marry the likes of you.”
“I know you hold no love for me, that we don’t even know each other in truth, and perhaps we will never come to love each other, but we can at least be friends.”
“Love can be built, too. And if you’re willing, I would like to try and learn to love you.”
“You are lovely. Even more beautiful than I was told.”
“What I heard of you before makes you no justice.”
“I must say I never expected to be wed to someone as stunning as you.”
“It is an odd thing, to be wed to someone you never met, to have a complete stranger suddenly become such a great part of your life.”
“I can’t marry him/her/them. I’m in love with another.”
“Please do not make me wed him/her/them!”
“Do not touch me.”
“I do not care what you want, we did not marry for love.”
“You’re mine now, and you will act suitably.”
“Who you loved before does not matter any longer. You are mine now, only mine.”
“Perhaps we should try to know each other better? We can start simple… do you like music?”
“We are only marrying because I need an heir.”
“You love someone else, so do I. Why don’t we make an agreement?”
“I will never love you.”
“Am I not what you expected?”
“I may not be as good looking as you hoped, but I shall never treat you unkindly.”
“You are to be my wife/husband, I want to help you feel more at home here. It shall be your home soon, after all.”
“There are talks of betrothal, even if they haven’t yet told me. I know they plan to wed me off to someone soon.”
“They want to marry me to him/her/them, but I don’t want that. I want you.”
“No need for this pretense. I know all your interest is my claim, not I.”
“I am to leave home and everything I have ever known to wed someone I have never met. It isn’t fair.”
“I marry you because I must. It is my duty to seal this alliance.”
“I will fulfill my duty, but I hold no love for you or your family.”
“We were wed as strangers, it’s true, but we needn’t continue being so.”
“Our marriage doesn’t have to be loveless just because it began as duty.”
“Do you believe in love at first sight? I feel like I have known and loved you for thousands of lives, even if we only met.”
“You will do as you are told and marry who we have picked for you.”
“You’ve been raised your entire life knowing this day would come. Do not begin to entertain illusions of marrying for love now.”
“I will never let them ship you off to a stranger as I was.”
“You are my child, and you will not be sold off to anyone like that. I won’t let them trade you for their alliance.”
“I wish I could undo it, child, but I cannot. This arrangement was made years ago.”
“We have been promised to each other for years, yet I could never meet him/her/them.”
“How odd that we were promised to each other for so long and only met on our wedding day.”
“What of it? It isn’t like I haven’t known for years that my fate would be to wed some stranger my family deemed suitable.”
“How can you be so calm about this? They are deciding who you spend your life with, and you won’t have any say on it!”
“Through them, we will finally join our bloodlines.”
“He/She is marrying my claim, not me.”
“Only princes/princesses and kings/queens are worthy of you. You will not be wed to someone lesser.”

Gilbert sat in silence for a long moment. It was hard for him. Not because he was a talker, though he was. It was more because he didn’t know what to say. He wanted to comfort her, but how can one comfort someone he is hurting? He felt like each attempt to help dug him into a deeper hole. He wished he could understand his wants, so that he could explain to his wife what he was thinking, but he couldn’t.
He spent his adolescence in the craze of Versailles, and then in a war. For him hedonism was widespread. Sex was not so intimate as it was for survival or distraction. He was not raised as Adrienne was, mostly in the sense that he was not ever taught modesty. He would probably never be able to understand her pain, or to explain he didn’t. Instead he just sulked in the tub, cleaning himself lazily as his wife worked on his red hair.
His eyes fell shut as he felt the kisses to his face. After the last he gently turned, finding her lips with his own. “I’m sorry.” he whispered before kissing her again, his hand gently sneaking up to cup her cheek. “I…I can try and end it.” he whispered, pulling back with sad green eyes.
She wasn’t sure how to respond. She knew what she wanted. Undoubtedly, she hated the idea of sharing her husband with a woman she’d found herself despising as of late (though she wouldn’t be any fonder of sharing her husband with a woman she was fond of). Adrienne knew the answer she wanted to give, she wanted to demand it, to beg him to leave her, beg him to love only her from now on.
But she felt selfish, like she was asking him to put her feelings above his own, and was that what she was doing? Was it selfish to beg fidelity from, to whom she was vowed her loyalty ‘til death? Was it so horrible of her? It was enough to make her pause, to sit before him in silence at his offer, her quivering lip showing no signs of stopping.
Adrienne’s fingers brush over the contours of his face, going to rest against the spot between his neck and shoulder. “I-” And there was nothing else. She knew what she wanted, she thought that at this point it must be obvious what she wanted, but she could not bring herself to say it.
“Do as you please,” she sighed, “I only ask you remember that I am here, waiting, always.”

“I can’t help it.” Gilbert complained as he looked her over, leaning in to steal a kiss from her lips, nipping at her lower one.
“You’re the child.” he complained cutely, rubbing his hand over her sides gently as he continued to kiss her while she moved him about. He only pulled away slightly to let her take the picture before he grinned and looked down to it. “You look gorgeous.” he sighed softly, bumping his nose against her shoulder. “Maybe we should stay in actually.” he teased, rubbing over her hips.
“Yes, but do you like it?” She elaborated before teasing, “I always look fantastic.”
“As much as I would like to give in to your advances,” a playfully indignant sigh escaped her with a dramatic roll of her eyes, “I must say no - I haven’t eaten yet because I didn’t want a food baby in my pictures,” Adrienne patted her stomach, “I’ll die if I wait any longer. You must feed me, mon chéri, before I waste away into nothing.”
prvidnce :
“Nothing will make you feel better.” Gilbert explained to her. “I just don’t like you saying I want her more than you. It’s just not true.” he murmured quietly. He couldn’t help but roll his green eyes at her next few sentences. “You…” he whispered to her. “Adrienne, I love you. I am stupid, oui, but I love you.” he grumbled as he sat down in the water, pulling his knees to his chest.
“Wives are treated awfully. Men hit their wives. They throw them out for boring a daughter. I’m not saying to make myself seem better, but I just…” he sighed quietly. “I have always been on your side, Adrienne. I understand that I have trouble being true to you, I just….I don’t know how to control it.” he whispered. “But I do my best to make it up to you.” he whispered, burying his face in his hands, continuing to grow a mix of sad and angry. “I don’t care.” he grumbled into his hands.
Words went unsaid between them, as she couldn’t get another snide comment past the lump in her throat. She couldn’t bare it, couldn’t bare to listen to him justify himself because his hurting her was different from that of the beastly oppressors of the ladies they knew, but she didn’t want to argue any more. Nothing would come of it, anyways, and they would eventually move on from it as they always did. She’d known of the affair since it had begun, or at least shortly after, and the ache had been there all along, but she had only just allowed herself to take it out him, and what had it gotten them? And to be unable to control it? What was ‘it’? What did he find so wonderful about another woman that he was so easily driven back?
Jealousy, curiosity, and other emotions bubbled in her stomach, eyes dark and searching for answers in the pale light of the room.
So she was silent, taking the porcelain pitcher and dunking it in the water, small hands coaxing him into a position that would let her pour it over his hair. She combed her fingers through his tangled hair, massaging his scalp.
“I love you, too,” Adrienne promised, pressing a kiss to his hairline, then another against his brow, “Despite it all, and no matter what. I will always love you.” Another kiss feathered his cheek, “And damn you for it.”
yknow i didnt like the office but brian coulda gotten it literally any day
I’ll tell you how she died in my arms. How I watched her take her last breath. I could not conceive how the life could go out of her. On the day before I’d danced her on my knee. We are taught to be strong, to betray no weakness, but that night I learned: to be strong is weakness. Pain should not be avoided. Tears must fall.
