“And I love you, big cousin! AH! Reality check tag back! I love this! See? We’re bonding! Isn’t that exciting?!”

“Ew,” is his simply reply. “Congratulations. You’ve managed to disgust the most disgusting sin.” He even offers a slow, sarcastic clap.

She looks almost shocked when Gluttony describes himself as such, shaking her head emphatically. “I don’t think you’re disgusting at all.”

It was actually very nice to hear her words, but they also confused him. How could she know so much about him? Had she read the papers about him? Seen him on TV? The news usually only covered the official side of their cases, no one would know so much about his personal life.

The virtue can tell that her words have at least made a dent into his sadness and it’s good enough for her. However, she can’t help but giggle at his question--mortals loved names and hated the unknown. It was endearing and charming to one who had touched nearly every being since the beginning. “I’m not exactly a who but a what, Jim. But you’ve known me for a long time.” Practically beaming, she poses, trying to soften the strangeness of her reply for him. “Humanitas--Kindness. My siblings and I are the embodiment of the virtues...Neat, huh?”

“I’m always doing well.” He leans in, tapping his finger once on the tip of her nose. “I’m surprised you came to see me. And here I thought you disliked my company.”

“That’s good. I’d hate for it to be the opposite.” Her face scrunches, though a tiny smile remains. There’s just a tiny bit of tension considering their last encounter but that’s part of why she’d come to see her cousin in the first place. “You’re family. Even if we don’t always see eye to eye, I’d never turn my back on you.”

Snaps his teeth at her

“Uhhhhhm....Air hugs and kisses!”                                    Still showing her cousin love and affection...she’s just not so sure about the snapping turtle routine.

He has never had someone trying to cheer him up with the picture of a kitten and it makes him smile after a moment. And even though he cringes inwardly at her words - she doesn’t really know him, she doesn’t know what he’s done - it stays. “Thank you, that is very kind of you.”

“You’re welcome but there’s no need to thank me. It’s what I do--It’s what I am. But...you don’t believe me do you? That you’re a good man? That’s...so sad.” Downside of having a heavenly entity taking an interest in you--they Know things. Perk for the virtue though. “Trust me, you are. You’ve made sacrifices to keep people safe and happy for nothing in return--many of those people you’ve never even met. You tried to be a friend to those who needed one. You have a lot to be proud of, Jim.”

“You’re in a good mood. Chipper. That’s refreshing.” Ignoring the poor bunnies that are gone because of her cousin--she has to. “I’m glad to see you’re doing well.”

He looks at her, at the boombox, at the picture, confused. “Can I help you?”

“No thank you. This is all for you actually.” Her smile remains, beaming over at the rather confused man. “You already do so much to help everyone. You deserve the same--kindness.” A tiny giggle sounds before she shakes her head. “Sorry. But really, Jim Gordon, you are a man with a big heart.”
