Breaking the unseen chains
Peace fam. This is a post mainly for my people, but everyone is welcomed to take from this insight...
What if I told you that there’s a reason why this country has an obsession with American Black History? First and foremost, think about how you’d feel if someone called you a n****r to your face... probably angry, confrontational, sad, confused, just to name a few emotions. Why does this word hold so much power over you? Does the word even have a true meaning? A mere word should never be the catalyst of any dispute, yet it causes so many... why?
First, let me digress a little by saying, we need to understand that the study of human psychology existed far before we did. Above all else, we must realize that there is so much that we DON’T know; about ourselves, as well as the world around us. The reason that many of us don’t know these things is simply because we exist within a system that is structured to disrupt, dismantle, and detain most of our cognitive functions. Why are these functions important? Because they determine how we perceive information and any other aspect of thought.
For example, if I told you to look straight ahead from street level, and tell me what you see, you’d only be able to describe your experience from that level. You’d only see what’s in your immediate field of vision, and nothing else. Now imagine if I took you to the roof of a 50 story building, then asked you what you see... just by being so high up, your field of vision would increase tremendously. You’re not limited to cars and buildings, because now you can see miles ahead, plus things that you were never able to see before because your view was so hindered by everything that stands over and around you. The building in this analogy represents your consciousness, or realm of knowledge.... if your mind span is still stuck on the first floor, then your view on anything intellectual, is debilitatingly limited; thus, it becomes impossible for you conjure any relevant thoughts.
I say all this to implore that we must stop allowing our minds to give things power, that otherwise should have zero power - most importantly, racism, in all it’s various forms. Racism has become the single most utilized weapon in a war that the majority of us aren’t even aware of. The war I speak of has nothing to do with black vs. white... It’s a war of the powerful vs. powerless; The rich vs. the poor; the workers... vs the rulers. The people who sit(comfortably) at the top, know this most important fact about our situation... A revolution cannot succeed with just one group of people. That means their keys to victory have always been the SEPARATION of people, and the MANIPULATION of knowledge. Just because someone’s ancestors committed many of the most sick and deplorable crimes against our ancestors, that doesn’t condemn this generation to the same guilt(or lackthereof), for their only crime is the ignorance that they clutch ever so tightly to. Their minds have been poisoned by the lies and propaganda of those that came before them, and similarly, we poison our minds with slave movies, and every other story that we’ve learned about black oppression. While this history is as important as any, it can easily be used against us. Think about how angry you felt when you first saw Roots. Just like the first Birth of a Nation movie painted former slaves as the rapist and killers of society, the shows and movies that kept slavery alive in our minds and hearts, do nothing but breed hatred, and keep us fighting the wrong fight(s). Once again, racism is A WEAPON. A TOOL, with the single most destructive ability known to mankind. The only way that we destroy this weapon is by ceasing to acknowledge it, and focussing on things that truly matter. If we continue letting racism control our feelings, then we’ll only go deeper into our hatred, sparking a race war that can ultimately extinguish our entire existence.

This means that we shouldn’t hate, but instead be weary of the company that we do keep with other groups of people, as well as our own, and move accordingly when they show their true nature. Hatred is an emotion, and whenever we let emotion control our thinking, we aren’t really thinking; We’re just stuck on the first floor. As the mind makes it’s ascension to it’s figurative roof, not only do you respond to situations more calmly, but you discover that... there’s really no roof. Knowledge is infinite, and if used correctly, it will free us from the invisible chains of racism forever. For centuries, mankind’s three oldest traditions have been war, racism, and religion. With all the advances in technology, and human thinking, it’s sad that we are still so primitive as a whole....✌🏾🖤&✊🏾
