I bought this for you a couple weeks ago. I took the first picture we took with Cece and Connor and put them in the locket. I didn’t have time to make them remove me like I’m sure you would prefer. Happy Mother’s Day.

TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: We had this conversation already. You were lonely and you couldn't talk to her about what was bothering you. Then I hijacked your parties and things just happened from there.
KITTY: Are you still at the penthouse?
HUNTER: The point still stands that I didn't turn to her. I let my father control me YET AGAIN and in the process, I decided to sleep with two other women that I care for.
HUNTER: I was wrong, Kitty. She's never going to forgive me. Maybe we fuck up enough and we just run out of chances.
HUNTER: Yeah. I should go back home and torture myself some more with the emptiness but I can't right now.
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: You know she'd understand. It would explain why you've been so absent all these years. Not that you didn't care about her.
KITTY: I'd offer some company but I just got home. I'm waiting to see if Sam's shift ends soon.
HUNTER: Yeah and what part of that really explains why I ended up sleeping with you and Stacey instead of being with her?
HUNTER: It's okay. I'm not good company right now.
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: I think right now she's hurt and angry. Telling her everything would only make matters worse. But if you do decide to tell her, then you really need to tell her everything. Not just about us, but about your father too. She needs to know.
KITTY: It's a start at least. If she had this reaction, maybe it's not a lost cause. You knew she wouldn't be the Stepford Wife kind.
HUNTER: You know that would be a horrible idea. I don't think she'd care at this point. I fucked everything up.
HUNTER: Yeah maybe. I need a drink.
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: Let's be honest for a second here. You haven't exactly been the best husband to her. It's not so surprising that she'd be so quick to walk away. If it were another situation, I'd be cheering her on and supporting her decision. But I'm your friend and I know your side of the story, so you know I have your back no matter what.
KITTY: Do you love her?
HUNTER: Do you think telling her everything will help or just hurt? I don't know how to handle this. I knew she'd be pissed but I thought we'd be able to work it out. I thought she'd listen and we'd talk and I'd show her that I can be better.
HUNTER: Of course I do.. but one person can't fix a marriage. She has to want it too.
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: Most likely, the case will drag for months or even years, you'll both resent each other, never reach a settlement. The media will find out you cheated and make her out to be a saint while you're the bastard that fucked up your marriage.
KITTY: If there really is no way around it, then don't fight it. But if you want to fight for your marriage, then you should. Show her it was a mistake, try winning her over again.
HUNTER: I don't resent her. I just don't want her to walk away like this. I want a chance to make it right with her but she's ready to cut it off.
HUNTER: What if I broke it beyond repair?
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: You do not want to get into a custody battle with Jenny. It could cost your career, not to mention your reputation and Stacey's. And who knows what else the lawyers and the media might find.
KITTY: If she really wants to go through with this and there is absolutely no way out, then you need to make it as quick and quiet as possible. I can help you release a public statement and avoid the unnecessary media frenzy.
HUNTER: So what, am I supposed to just put up my hands and let her end our marriage and take my kids away from me? What if I fight through the court and refuse to give her a divorce?
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: Can she do that? They're your kids too.
HUNTER: My lawyer said I could get them and try for sole custody but I couldn't take them away from their mother.
HUNTER: I don't know what to do.
TEXT || KITTY
KITTY: Are you serious?
KITTY: I'm so sorry. What are you going to do?
HUNTER: She already got an apartment and left with the kids.
HUNTER: I don't know.
TEXT || KITTY
HUNTER: She filed for divorce.

JENNY: Let me know when you want to see the kids. I need to plan their new schedules.
HUNTER: [READ]
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: You gave up a long time ago. These past couple of months was just us deluding ourselves.
HUNTER: That's not true.
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: I didn't do anything. You did.
JENNY: My lawyer will send you the rest of the papers. I want us to have joint custody. I don't want the kids to stop having a relationship with you just because we don't have one anymore.
HUNTER: I'm not doing this with you, Jenny. I'm not just giving up like this. I won't.
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: Oh so now you care? [DELETED]
JENNY: I'm not taking them away. I'm simply relocating. You're free to see them whenever you want.
JENNY: I just can't be in a house with so many memories. Or constantly wondering if you ever took someone there. [DELETED]
HUNTER: Please don't do this.
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: I'm sorry if I don't believe it.
JENNY: I found an apartment for me and the kids. A cardboard box like you always said I wanted.
JENNY: You have your house all to yourself.
HUNTER: You can't take my kids away from me.
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: Is that supposed to make it better?
JENNY: There's nothing to fix. I already made up my mind.
JENNY: I'm leaving my keys on the dining room table.
HUNTER: Yes. Because it means I've changed. I'm changing. I'm fixing it.
HUNTER: Don't say that.
HUNTER: Jenny, please.
TEXT || ST. CLARINGTON
JENNY: You cheated on me. You made up business trips to spend time with your mistress and then you'd come home to me and act like everything was normal.
JENNY: Is this why you've been so absent all these years? The late nights at work? All the excuses? Five years we've been married, Hunter. Were you with her all this time?
HUNTER: I did have a business trip. I did go to work too. It was usually while working.
HUNTER: You're angry right now, and you have every right to be, but divorce papers? We can fix this.
