I realise this is the first post I've made in months and it's for the most random mash up but

This song is so Lysandre from Pokémon Z to A.

This is in fact the only Charli xcx song I know haha

It's got some AZ vibes too but mainly it's Lysandre - I really liked the depth we got plot and character wise the Z to A, it's the first Pokémon game I've gotten properly invested in for a while. The game is still too short but I like my broken old men ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

i wish there was an easier way to tell the difference between an "if it sucks hit da bricks" situation and a "sometimes being an adult means doing things that you dont wanna" situation

The best answer to this that I've seen is "You are free to do whatever you like. You must only live with the consequences."

"If it sucks, hit da bricks" is for when you realize that you actually definitely can live with the consequences of Not Doing The Thing.

"Sometimes being an adult means doing things that you don't wanna" is for when you've thought it over and it turns out you would strongly prefer NOT to live with the consequences of Not Doing The Thing.

More selkie au—Ava can’t sleep one night (nightmares about the deaths of her family) so she goes down for a walk on the beach. The tide has gone out the beach always feels so different at night. She’s down near the tide pools and that’s when she realizes there’s a woman nestled between two of the sea star-encrusted rocks. She’s soaked to the bone and, Ava realizes a second too late, entirely nude.

Naturally, the woman is Nat. Seals hunt at night and she’s come ashore, and Ava just found her after she finished off her fish dinner. Her seal coat is draped over one of the rocks, and for a second she panics—because this is the thing her kind always lives in fear of, their coats being stolen, their freedom being ripped away. She’s been fascinated with Ava for weeks, but always from a safe distance. She was never supposed to be this close, not again.

But Ava doesn’t even realize the sealskin is there. All she sees is a frightened, vulnerable woman staring up at her with big, dark eyes (how did she get here? was she a passenger on a ship? did it wreck? is she a survivor who was washed ashore?) so she does the only thing she can think of. She takes off her own jacket (and old thing, worn and patched so many times it’s impossible to tell what color it used to be) and holds it out for Nat to take.

She says, “It’s alright. You are safe now, you can come home with me.”

How can Nat resist?
