he's about to get up and do a half drunk walk of shame back to his room when he hears jay's voice. this wasn't good, he shouldn't stay here, this shouldn't have happened. they shouldn't have gotten drunk tonight, they shouldn't have had sex. naito'd only wanted one drink tonight while the rest of his family went back to their rooms to sleep off the exhaustion that had been creeping in after their matches. naito hadn't expected to see jay at the hotel bar, and definitely hadn't been expecting for their flirting to turn into touching, that ended with jay flat on his back on the kiwi's bed. but he's tired, and sleep sounds better than possibly ending up on the hotel floor if he couldn't make it back to his room.

"..fine. but i'm leaving in the morning, so don't expect any morning sex or cuddles." naito said simply, laying back down on the bed with a small content sigh, sneaking a glance over at jay like they hadn't just had sex, like he had a reason to be shy so suddenly. "this was a one night stand thing, okay?"

quite a bit of time had passed since jay had all but confirmed what he already knew all along. jay wasn’t interested. jay wasn’t interested in him, but tanahashi. he can’t blame him, not really, but if he could only tell him –– if he could warn him..no. he can’t do that, if he says anything now jay might just think he’s trying even harder to win him over. kazuchika knows that tanahashi doesn’t deserve this cute little young lion, he’s better than some washed up old man who should really start taking it easy before he wrecks more of himself. kazuchika okada and jay white could rule njpw together, when jay got back from his excursion. they’d be the best in the company.

“i don’t know what you want me to say.” okada shrugged his shoulders, eyes cast down to the floor, wetting his lips before he continued speaking. “i could treat you better than he ever could, jay-kun.” if only you would let me.

he’s right, he shouldn’t have come here at all. everyone else knew better than to seek out los ingos backstage, but not kota. he was either stupid or had some kind of a death wish, although he supposes kota and naito were two sides of the same coin in that aspect. still, the fact that shingo and evil were glaring daggers into his being while bushi wordlessly stood not far off with arms crossed didn’t seem to be making kota turn and walk away, even though he was obviously uncomfortable.

“you’re right, you shouldn’t.” were the first words from his mouth, expression blank like usual. this was getting pretty tiresome, kota trying to come between him and his family. he loved them dearly, no matter how ‘ out of place ’ he seemed with them. they were his family. despite their differences, they were just as much the same. “i’m tired of your offers.”

his entire body is freezing, but he's able to keep the shivering hidden from kota. the golden star on the other hand...was very obviously freezing his ass off. maybe that's why he offered his body heat, or maybe it's because now that the elite were gone and they took kenny omega with them, kota was all alone.

all alone. tetsuya knew how that felt. even with kota by his side, he still felt utterly alone back then. kota was always the golden star, and naito? he was just the failed stardust genius that everyone thought of as an attempted clone of kota ibushi, or at least that's what he'd heard from whispers and internet comments. maybe that's why he closed himself off from ibushi. so that nobody could ever call him a failure or a clone again.

"yeah, whatever. just warm up, okay?"

i hope this means you're coming back to me. it was something so simple yet tetsuya doesn't want to hear it. doesn't want to let him in even though he has no reason not to anymore. he shouldn't be shutting him out because kota was the only one who believed in him when nobody else would. maybe it's his way of keeping him away, not because he doesn't like who he's become, but because....he doesn't know. all he knows is that kota will always care about him, even if naito hated his guts. he doesn't, but he doesn't think he wants to let him in again. not now, at least. his family is enough for him, that's all that matters. isn’t it?

the way that jay tries to hide the grin on his lips, the blush on his cheeks, is adorable. sooner or later he's going to get jay to crack, get this adorable little young lion that he's fallen for to allow him to take him on a real date. a real date where they can enjoy each other's company and not just in the bedroom like a certain someone. tanahashi.

okada doesn't know exactly how or why jay ever fell for him, but he supposes tana is pretty enough for the other young boys to easily fall into his charms, all his affections and his flirting. it was disgusting. the way he went from young lion to young lion, only using them for sex and some ideal of "love". telling them over and over again that they're the only one for him when the reality was he'd screw them until they went on excursion, then he'd break up with them and move on to the newest one. like clockwork, okada has watched this go on for too long, he needs to save jay from his grasp without alerting him to what tanahashi was doing. it wasn't fair for someone so cute to be hurt by someone so cruel, someone who used his status and history to get any man he wanted. jay didn't deserve that, and okada had fallen too fast for him already.

        ✘.   —   speaking didn’t seem like the right thing to do. a ❛ sorry i kneed you in your broken nose and THREW you off the casino chips ❜ wouldn’t make up for the HISTORY between the two of them. it wouldn’t fix the mess they had created, wouldn’t MEND the broken pieces of their past relationship. yet, JUST looking didn’t feel right either. it had jon twitching and vibrating from within. so, before he could LOSE it once again, fingertips reached out, connected with a COLD hand as they felt the sweaty skin there carefully, icy orbs NEVER leaving kenny’s face. it was almost like jon was asking for PERMISSION to touch the other man even though, minutes ago, he’d grabbed him and tossed him around like it was the only thing he was MEANT to do in life. 

It was one thing to see a past lover again, it was another thing for said past lover to be kneeing him in the face, his nose more accurately, and throwing him off of casino chips to a thunderous crowd. It was another for him to be right in front of Kenny backstage. There was too much adrenaline in his veins to even have a right emotion for this kind of setting, but just seeing him again stirs up old feelings he thought he'd buried long ago.

Fingertips touched the skin on his hand and suddenly his mind takes him back to the here and now, to his ex lover standing in front of him after just moments ago having thrown him off of casino chips in the company's first ever pay per view. What he should feel, or rather, what he thinks he should feel, is anger but instead the gentle touch brings back a familiar feeling. A feeling that has him closing the distance between them, lips gently pressing against his ex lover's like it was something forbidden and he was breaking the rules, but felt so right at the same time.

"Our old dream came true, huh?" the words are whispered against his lips, eyes raising to meet moxley's. After all those years, their dream had finally become a reality.
