I have this post in me about how all cultures evolved from adopting other practices and how I feel like my heathenry will become something modern rooted in history and tradition, rather than a speculative reconstruction of sorts.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not for me. I like to experiment, especially with magickal practices, so to me, as far as something as seidh goes for example, I don’t think it matters how we enter trance, it’s our intent that matters and where we travel.

But that’s just me. I wish I had anybody to learn from and to exchange ideas.

Anyways, all this could be a longer post, but it just won’t come out yet.

I’m a roleplaying gamer, I should not have trouble saying, or doing things others would find silly.

Yet, when it comes to talking to the gods I turn really shy.

I have less trouble with spirits though.

My frame drum arrived.

I’ve ordered three bottles of mead.

Sometime next week I’ll just bumble into this whole thing.

I’ll go to the woods and offer a good chug of mead to Odin and ask him to grant me a vision of how I should proceed. I’ll ask him to send me further down on the road on my quest for knowledge. 

I’ve been hearing ravens all week, but I have not seen them.

I hope this is a good sign.

How would one even go about founding a group for local occultists?

How do you find your members?

How do you tell if they’re the right fit?

How do you tell them if they’re not?

Only point of contact I have to german occultists is through facebook groups and let’s be honest, that’s not the best pool of people to choose from.

But you gotta start somewhere.

It kills me not having anyone to talk to about magick and stuff.

My wife isn’t feeling very witchy right now, besides, she comes at the whole thing from a different angle than me.

My thoughts are all scattered, because I can’t verbalize them in a proper dialogue. 

I’m getting an anxiety attack just realizing how fucking alone this makes me feel.

Some people, including myself, might wonder how I go from the hellenistic pantheon to the norse pantheon just like that.

I’ve been involved with chaos magick since I was 16, which is almost two decades of training myself to adapt to different belief systems with the snapping of my fingers. I take belief very seriously once I’ve adapted.

In my personal world view, even before chaos magick, there’s space for all the gods and they are all equally relevant.

There’s a connecting line between all religions and they’re all expressions of the All, of ultimate, ufathomable reality.

I’ve been many places, spiritually, I don’t mind, it’s like travelling the world to find a home.
