Rendered avi of alien
work on this project serveral month back but forgot to upload. followed tutorial to learn basic skills with zbrush, final rendered image
Things I did for fun! (Game concept design)
(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoO9vC-DcNo)
Some character designs during development for a children’s story book
Two separate projects I have worked on, both involving rigging the dinos in IK and FK, learnt a lot using tutorials and now more confident with rigging
Some facial expressions
Some quick sketches, developing ideas and characters
Another birthday card design for two sisters, using Adobe Illustrator, this was a quick design, rendered with CMYK
Designed a birthday card using Illustrator and Photoshop, rendered with CMYK
Used the same technique as previous project and created a similar rig, happy with this
I have always been terrified of working with rigs, they are complex, technical and have to be done right. I followed tutorials and learnt about the bare bones system, skinning, creating controls, using constraints, parenting and the IK system. I also worked with some basic expressions. At the end of it, I extracted a lot, but I still have a lot to learn, mostly when it involves complex rigs and geometry, but I’m glad I grasped the basics
Followed tutorials and learnt about the different UV mapping and techniques. Used cross platform for texturing, exporting geometry as OBJ and importing into Photoshop. Used 3D view in Photoshop and painted both diffuse, specular and bump maps and used texture images for the ogre’s clothes. This project would have been a lot more fun, but suffered from low computer performance, so I spent a lot of time waiting for Photoshop to catch up, but I was happy with the end result. I didn’t dare render the final image with meta ray because I still love my computer and didn’t want it to fry!
texturing, UV practice
Texturing experiment 1
created a police robot, payed a lot of attention to the top half of the body and one leg, which was later duplicated to create 4 legs, I liked working on the project as looked in details for mechanical reff which was educative and fun. Used the guns that was designed in previous projects and used blinn materials with mid refraction level during render to give the reflection and gloss look. Also used low lighting to keep the moodl suttle
