Question Time: Being Naked
I answered a question recently about whether or not my boy wears a chastity cage or a plug when going to a nude beach. You can find the answer by clicking here.
My reply triggered a follow up comment that honestly took me off guard. The comment read as follows; Lol no child should be on the nude beach in first place,it’s bad to expose children to naked people.
Come again?! No child should be exposed to naked people?
Let me be as clear as I can on the matter: any adult who fails to understand the difference between nakedness and sexuality shouldn’t be allowed on a naked beach. Period.
I’m sure the sender meant no harm, but, don’t even get me started to what vile place my mind takes me when I have to add kids to that train of thoughts.
It’s mind-blowing how people, in the year 2018, still confuse both. Then again, so many people fail to see the simple difference between intimacy and sex.
In all my years I’ve been going to both naked saunas or public beaches I can count on one hand the amount of times an/some adult(s) reacted inappropriately. I can assure you, in every case said person(s) were quickly escorted out/off the beach.
From the moment they were born I took my offspring with me to the beach. You’d be surprised how many families you see here. Parent with their kids, grandparents with their grandchildren or the three generations all together.
When they turned 6 I started taking them with me to the sauna for short periods of time. Now, many years later they love going with me. The only time it caused a huge/awkward reaction, queue to the pointing finger and the “Mom, look!“, was when a man came in and removed his prosthetic leg.
Not only wasn’t the man offended, he patiently answered their questions.
The same applies with being naked around the house. I sleep naked for one, becoming a mother didn’t change how I slept at night. To this day my offspring sees me naked every single moment. The only time I will cover up is when friends of theirs stay for a sleepover.
That said, a small accident happened a few years ago that lead to everyone seeing me naked one weekend. Someone dropped a glass in the early morning and two others stepped into some shards of glass. Fast forward to me jumping out of bed and rushing into the kitchen - naked - to the sound of panic cries.
When all was over and the kids’ feet were bandaged up I called their respective parents to inform them, also told them I rushed in the kitchen in the nude. First of all no parent was shocked and secondly, the only thing that stood out to the kids were just how big/funny my tattoos were.
My offspring is raised in open-minded house. Which means no subject is taboo; we talk about sex and masturbation, about how to put on condoms. We talk about drugs and booze and sexuality in the same way we talk about what we should have for dinner.
I pride myself in how grounded and open-minded my offspring is. How they look past someone’s appearance and look for the person within.
In retrospect, many adults could actually learn a thing or two from my offspring.
