Service restored

Service has been restored. The issue was due to several updates I've been working on for the site (including some new features that will be released soon) -- server-side cache needed to be cleared after the update. You will be able to see KM without the visual glitches once you refresh the page.

China has been blocked

Due to persistent activity from bots consistent with attempted Distributed of Denial of Service attacks, we have opted to block connections to ikari from Chinese hosts. This means, that the following services will not be available to users of Chinese hosts:

As we do not have any registered Chinese users on any of our services, we expect this to have minimal impact. If you wish to access our services from China, you are encouraged to use a VPN or the TOR network. You will not be able to create an account automatically when browsing this way, but you can contact us to get registered! Thank you for understanding.

Attack Mitigated

The Denial of Service attack against ikari has been mitigated; all services are operating as normal. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

We are under attack

ikari, the server that hosts Kinmunity, is currently mitigating a Denial of Service attack. At this time, we believe that this is in-fact a targeted attack against our services. Please be aware: a Denial of Service attack involves overburdening a service so that it cannot take requests -- it does not result in data loss or breaches of privacy. 

At the time of writing, service is currently unavailable, but it will likely be in and out while we ride out and attempt to mitigate this attack. Thank you for understanding,

Downtime Begins

ikari has been taken offline; we’ll be back in approximately 25 minutes.

Scheduled Downtime on 6/23/19 @ 8:00 ET

ikari (Kinmunity's server) will be taken offline for a reboot today at approximately 8:00 PM Eastern Time. This operation is needed to perform updates and ensure the continued security and stability of our site.

Kinmunity.com will be down from 15 to 45 minutes during this process. Progress can be followed at here after the process begins; our official blog is hosted by Tumblr and will remain up.

We'll also be introducing some new features soon.

Beginning earlier today, various Kinmunity services began to fail. A server reboot was attempted, but as of now the server has still not come back up. Early investigation reveals this may be due to issues on OVH’s side.

We engaged OVH’s support team via their ticket system and will continue to update you on the matter.
