Which is fearmongering about progressive values and downplaying the outcry against ICE raids and the severity of them.

She projects her views onto the server and others' (mine in this case) art, and made a fuss whenever the topic of queer gender identity, nonconformity or neopronouns were brought up:

Speaking to her one on one did not work out and she don't seem to be open to the idea of 1) expanding her views and 2) that she actually said something inappropriate.

Now yes, I'm aware these are just OCs, but aside from me also just wanting my wishes respected: this shows a clear aversion towards queer identities. She would bring up her views several times unprompted, making an uneasy environment.

I'm always for exposing people to queer identities or progressive ideas, but this individual only butted heads and then revealed her true colours with the insta story, so as she said - "it is what it is".

(also usually I'd let this go and I did for a long while, but she's posting stuff of my characters and I'm seeing people interact with her not knowing any better so...)

The only reason I'm reposting this is because of that last part- where brightgoat had a one on one talk with zee- where she said "I hope one day, you will wake up" because I need to point out a phenomenon I see with a lot of transphobes.

just her over all vagueness is what I've see a lot with these types of people do, where they're trying to cause a disturbance but in the least obviouse way possible. Because they're too much of a pussy to just say what they mean. I think they were trying to do a " schrödinger transphobe " where if you agree with them then they'll just come out as being against neopronouns but if you don't agree with them then they aren't being transphobic and you're just reading into things. Which is why they were dodging the unnamed member's question so much.

Her Instagram post is also really werid, because at first I thought she was just one of those "I think trans people are fine and but neopronouns are going to far" type of people, but no, her Instagram post just kinda proves she's just a transphobe.

It's a crazy situation and I hope none of the communities that I'm apart of ever get THESE people. As far as I can tell, the fandom I'm in currently is pretty open minded but I've been in fandoms before where the creator will literally be trans or gender queer and there will still be terfs for some reason so idk.

So in the "Rescue Don't Eat the Neighbours" Discord server, there was an art contest, voting just started and people have been posting their contest sumptuous- so here's mine:

I only did two cause I was lazy as shit-

This one was an odd choice in my opinion- I mean before the contest was even announced, I had the idea to redraw the og image as one of the DETN characters. It only took me one night to finish it and I was really proud of myself.

A few things I would have changed from the original to make it better:

one is I couldn't find the exact font for the image so I just ended up using something with a similar graininess, but the original font is far more better. I also feel like Wolf is really stiff- i wanted him to actually look accurate so people could tell who he is, so I ended up referencing his puppet directly but it kinda doesn't work too well. Maybe i just needed to move his head more to the side or maybe cut off his torso more. I also think I might have benefited more from coloring him more black but I was too scared that more make him look unrecognizable. Maybe he also would have looked more intimidating if I pulled back his ears but yet again I was worried he wouldn't look to recognizable.

My 2nd submission;

Originally this wasn't made for the contest, I was only planning on making one art peice, but then someone suggested I post it under the "Fashion" submission. I've had the idea to put Fox in some Gyaru fashion for a while, and I finally got around to doodling it. As I said it wasn't made dor the contest so a few things I would have changed is adding in lighting and coloring the other Fox instead of just leaving him blank.

He's cute tho.

Probably not going to win but I'll update you guys about it later.

Welcome to Don't Ask the Neighbours!!!

This is a character ask blog where you can ask the cast of DEtN questions! Although this blog will centre around Rabbit and Fox, asking other characters (Terrapin, Lucy, Wolf, Simon, Barry, ect) in the series is welcome!

The main ship is Burryburrow (Rabbit x Fox), but there is also Meatlovers (Fox x Wolf), so please keep that in mind (Fox has two hands, haha!) If this is not your cup of tea, then please be respectful :))).

Each response to a question will have drawings/doodles of the characters responding.

The Lore (Important Context):

The events of this ask blog are set AFTER the main series. Additionally, the fanfic 'Stab it, strangle it, scoop out its guts, and throw it off a cliff' on AO3 is important context.

Throughout the development of this ask blog, we will be following the timeline of events in the sequel fic 'Body, Soul: A Brief Overview on the Art of Dissection' on AO3 (Chapter One will be posted soon).

Please keep in mind the ratings and tags of the fics! Esspecially in the sequel fic, there will be content warnings on chapters that need them, so please be careful when reading.

However, this mainly serves to provide settings and something for characters to do while they answer asks, and give those who are interested a plot and character development to follow along with!

The events of this ask blog are not canon to the fanfic. However, different asks can give insight to characters that I may not have been able to include in the fic- the most blatant example of this being Fox! His perspective is not featured in either fic, so this ask blog is an opportunity to share that perspective.

How the blog will function:

There are 10 chapters (already pre-written!) to 'Body, Soul: A Brief Overview on the Art of Dissection' that are released weekly, so this blog will run for 10 weeks!

Every time a chapter is posted (currently no chapters have been released, haha), the ask box will open, opening the doors to a new setting or situation relating to the chapter. Depending on how many asks I receive, the ask box may remain open for a shorter/longer period of time.

How do you send in an ask: Through the blog's inbox! Whenever the ask box is open, you will see this button at the header of the blog, and you'll be able to submit a question to the blog's inbox!

Whenever it is not open, you will not see it. Please do not comment your asks under posts. They will not be responded to.

Please understand that I may not get around to answering some questions, and this could be for multiple reasons, such as (but not limited to):

I do not understand what the ask is trying to say.

I couldn't finish my comic last night so here's a little sneek peek at what I'm working on- because god knows how you guys need to get your fix for more wolf/fox yoai or else you'll implode.

DETN wants to convince you so badly that Fox has a one-sided boy crush on Wolf, but Wolf will at most point out that Fox is touching him and not even think about moving away.

The episode "Dave eats the grass" is evidence that Wolf is also into him, the episode where Wolf tries to fix their "friendship" while reading a magazine made for couples.

Also that time where Wolf dragged Fox into a dance, the other time both him and Fox danced, but in that same episode he also is the first one to ask for a hug, also in "fox comes to stay" he was really excited to go on that dinner date with fox- there might be more that escape me but yeah, there are a few examples of Wolf also being into Fox, it's just Fox is more explicit with his flirting.

Guys, imagined if Rebecca Sugar directed Don't Eat The Neighbors.

The cartoon already touches on darker subjects and implies that Mother Nature is the animals' religion (idk if thats the right phrasing but I'm tired so lets roll with it). The animals clearly have a different set up to us hunans with how people barely react to Fox eating Mrs. Squirrel. At least three characters have emotional and mental issues that Rebecca Sugar would absolutely have touched on...

And of course, RS would be a master of the gay.

And also they would have done an amazing job at going more in depth with Lucy, Simon, & Barry's grief with losing their mom. That would have be cute.

Simon being an angry teenager and acting out at school and home because he's overwhelmed and hurt by his mom leaving but Edward Mommy Issues Fox is a lvl 50000 gold card carrying headcase so he fills his boot with second hand crockery and takes those boys to a remote area to yell and scream and peg plates and vases at the ground and it doesn't fix it but it makes it a little better. Send post.

Wolf being a good boyfriend, as always.

One of my favorite headcannons of mine is that Fox whenever he's depressed, burnt out, or having an episode, he goes to crash at Wolf's place.

It would probably be a last resort for Fox, because he normally feels embarrassed to ever admit or show that something is wrong with him. Fox thinks that if he's honest about his problems with Wolf, it would ruin the sophisticated image he's built for himself and Wolf wouldn't wanna be associated with him.

Ofc Wolf just wants him to be happy.

I finally made a full design for Wolf's ex wife!

I finished this a couple of days ago but I've just been too busy to post it. Also I was still stuck on which color pallette I liked more or if I should change her to look less like wolf or not. Idk but you guys can decide which you lile more!

I wanted to go for a early 2000s y2k Preppy look for her, I didn't base it off of any particular magazine or model, I just cherry picked which items I saw the most in those outfits like the thin scarf or jacket. I also gave her ugg boots. I'm not sure if they were supper popular back in 2001, but I remember my sister had some back in the 2010s era and I thought since she was from Canada that I should give her some sort of winter fit.

Honestly the uggs were like the first thing I image her wearing, I don't know why.

I can't tell which color pallette I like more because the pink makes her look a lot more preppy, which I like, but I feel like it makes her too stereotypically girly- but the cheeta print gives her more a diva look and also suits her as a predator I would say to be wearing an animal fur pattern. Also I'm pretty sure cheeta print was like really popular back in the 2000s or maybe that was more of 2010s- idk I'm basing a lot of her fashion off of the stuff my sisters used to be obsessed over. She was just ahead of her times ig.

Also I kinda based both her personally and looks on gyarus I fucking love gyaru fashion,

but given the fact she's from Canada in the 2000s before gyaru was popular outside of Japan, I don't think it would make sense to make her gayru. But the spirit is still there.

I was going to add in some of my headcannons of her here but that feels like it would take too long, so I'll just make it another post and add some more doodles to it.

One thing I will add tho;

I wanna name her Jenny after the song "Jenny from the block" so that everytime she's on screen they have to play the song- but that's kinda dumb so ignore it.
