HAPPY BIRTJDYA JEAN LANNES!!! Wish u the best, stay healthy luv luv!
Lannes' first time on a modern train! (⌒∇⌒)ノ"
How Pinterest expect me to act after showimg me Lannes' painting with the same angle, same expression, same clothes and hair, the only difference is the filter (I love it anyway fuh)
They made him way to cute in this show I hate it and I hate him
Napoleonic HOTTEST men (in my opinion, TW: english isn't my first language):
1. Pyotr Bagration
I'm so sure about this, nothing can convice me otherwise. Honestly IDK HOW Catherine even cheated, like??? Bagration was SO. SO HOT and i think he was a really good husband HE EVEN DEFENDED HER REPUTATION. Girl... if i were Catherine, i'll kiss him atleast 67 times a day. And oh, bonus doodle of him
2. Joachim Murat
literally drooling over his paintingsuuuh plus i like bread (which he got a whole bakery for me) heh..🤤
3. Arthur Wellesley
Actually i kept denying that he looks... hot. Like...like i dont want to be like those women back then (cus i once read that women in his days also admitting taht he was a very charming man, womanizer, duh) ALSO i dont want to admit that he still looks hawt even with his....wweird...hair.

Some myths on Lannes’ Death
Myth 1: Lannes tried to persuade Napoleon to stop war.
This story was invented by Cadet de Gassicourt. Lannes did not leave any “last word” to his Emperor. For details, please read this article: https://www.napoleon.org/en/history-of-the-two-empires/articles/how-history-is-written-marechal-lannes-last-words-to-napoleon/
Myth 2: The cause of death was wound infection.
No evidence. Doctor Larrey and Doctor Lanefranque both confirmed Lannes’ wound healed well and did not mention any symptom of infection. Actually, they were somehow surprised that Lannes developed a high fever and did not know the real cause of his death.
Myth 3: The Emperor was very sad upon Lannes’ death. He hugged the marshal’s body and cried very hard.
Napoleon was indeed sad, but this story was invented by Lannes’ aide de camp Marbot. Doctor Lanefranque described Lannes’ last moments in a letter to Doctor Corvisart dated June 11th 1809. What he said in the letter was totally different from Marbot’s memoir. I believe contemporary record is much more creditable than memoirs written many years later. What’s more, Marbot invented many stories in his memoir, for example, the story that Lannes hated Bessisére for helping Murat to marry Caroline. Also, if you read General Pelet’s memoir on 1809, you would realize that Marbot’s account of Lannes’ death is largely based on Pelet’s version (they even made the same mistake on the date of Lannes’ death). I doubt whether Marbot really witnessed Lannes’ death. Doctor Lanefranque only mentioned that Lannes’ premier aide de camp Saint-Mars was present.
