Chapter V.
First Person POV (y/n)
It had been a couple of weeks since I settled into U.A., and somehow those weeks passed faster than I expected them to. What started as awkward introductions and cautious conversations slowly turned into routines before I even realized it was happening. The first girls night somehow became a permanent tradition almost immediately afterward. Every Friday night, one of the girls would knock on everyone's doors until we eventually gathered in somebody's room with snacks scattered everywhere, face masks nobody used properly, card games that always ended in arguments, and conversations that lasted embarrassingly late into the night.
Then came the Saturday movie nights.
Those usually happened in the common room downstairs where almost half the dorm somehow squeezed themselves onto couches, bean bags, blankets, and occasionally the floor whenever nobody wanted to give up a good spot. Kaminari always complained dramatically whenever someone picked horror movies, Mina talked through almost every scene, and Sero spoiled endings without shame whenever he got bored. Bakugo usually pretended he wanted nothing to do with it, yet somehow still ended up staying every single time anyway, sitting furthest from everyone with an annoyed expression while still watching the entire movie.
Honestly, it became easy to settle in here. Easier than I thought it would be.
I found myself naturally falling into everyone's routines without forcing it. Some afternoons I ended up following Mina around because she randomly decided she needed company while doing absolutely nothing important. Other days I spent hours with Midoriya and Todoroki in study sessions so I could catch up properly with the lessons I missed before transferring. Midoriya somehow managed to turn every study session into an accidental hero analysis lecture while Todoroki quietly listened beside us, occasionally adding comments so unexpectedly blunt they caught both of us off guard.
There were also moments where I practically begged Kouji to bring his pets downstairs because his rabbits somehow became emotional support animals for half the dorm. Even Bakugo once stopped glaring long enough to pet one of the smaller bunnies before immediately denying it happened afterward.
And then there was training.
U.A. training was exhausting in ways I had not fully expected. Every teacher seemed determined to push students until they physically collapsed, and unfortunately for me, having a healing quirk meant people naturally expected me to endure longer than most. I spent countless hours improving stamina control, reaction timing, healing efficiency, and support positioning while trying not to completely destroy my energy reserves in the process.
A lot of those sessions ended up involving Bakugo.
Not intentionally at first.
It just sort of... happened.
Sometimes Aizawa paired us together during combat exercises because my quirk worked well supporting aggressive fighters. Other times Bakugo simply occupied the same spaces I did, usually training long after everyone else had already finished. I started noticing that whenever I stayed late in the gym, there was a high chance he would already be there blasting holes into practice targets like he had unresolved personal issues with the walls themselves. Even then, we barely spoke.
Not really.
Most of our interactions consisted of brief glances during training or occasional comments whenever Mina dragged me into the middle of their loud friend group against my will. Despite how explosive he acted around everyone else, I slowly realized Bakugo actually talked less than most people in Class 1-A. He rarely joined conversations unless somebody annoyed him first, and outside his constant yelling, he spent a surprising amount of time quietly observing everything around him.
From my perspective, he was not nearly as chaotic as he pretended to be.
Well...Physically, at least.
Verbally was another issue entirely.
I genuinely did not think I had ever heard him speak in a normal indoor voice before. Every sentence sounded like he was either seconds away from starting a fight or actively threatening somebody during one. His temper snapped ridiculously fast too, especially whenever Kaminari or Kirishima intentionally irritated him for entertainment purposes.
Midoriya suffered the most from it.
Honestly, I started noticing Bakugo's hair literally seemed to spike up more aggressively whenever Midoriya approached him with that overly earnest expression of his. Sometimes Midoriya would simply try reassuring him about something completely harmless, only for Bakugo to immediately explode like his existence alone was personally offensive.
Not metaphorically, either.
Actual explosions.
Though, to be fair, Bakugo tried blasting almost everyone's face off at least once.
Still, beneath all of that anger, there was something oddly calculated about him. He called everyone "extras" like it was second nature, shoved Class 1-B aside whenever Monoma started provoking him, and carried himself with such overwhelming confidence that it bordered on arrogance half the time.
No.
Actually, not bordered.
It was arrogance.
Bakugo genuinely believed he was better than everyone around him, and the frustrating part was that he was talented enough to make it believable. During combat training, he moved like somebody who trusted himself completely. Fast, sharp, aggressive, but controlled underneath all the destruction. Even when he acted reckless, there was always precision hiding beneath it.
It annoyed me a little.
Mostly because he knew exactly how good he was.
No, it annoyed me because he was the person who I wanted to become when I was a kid.
· · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·
"What?!" Bakugo's voice exploded across the classroom so suddenly that several students visibly flinched in their seats. "I'm doing my history group project with this extra?!"
The force of his hands slamming against the desk made the entire table shake beneath him, the sharp crack echoing loudly through the room while tiny sparks snapped aggressively across his palms. It was honestly impressive how someone could radiate so much offense over a simple group assignment. The atmosphere inside the classroom shifted almost instantly, conversations cutting off one by one as everyone collectively turned their attention toward the newest disaster unfolding at the front of the room.
And somehow, against all odds, I was apparently the disaster.
Before Bakugo could continue shouting, Aizawa's capture scarf shot across the room with terrifying accuracy and wrapped itself tightly around Bakugo's mouth in one fluid movement. The reaction was so fast that Bakugo barely had time to process it before the fabric pulled sharply against him, muffling whatever insult he had clearly been seconds away from yelling next.
The classroom fell silent for exactly half a second.
Then Kaminari snorted loudly into his hand.
Bakugo immediately started struggling against the scarf with violent irritation, glaring at Aizawa like he had committed the greatest betrayal imaginable. He grabbed at the fabric wrapped around his face while making furious muffled sounds that somehow still managed to communicate pure outrage despite being completely incomprehensible.
Meanwhile, Aizawa looked entirely unimpressed.
He sat at the front desk with the exhausted expression of a man who had already dealt with too much nonsense before noon, one hand lazily supporting his head while the other tapped lightly against the wooden teacher's desk. His eyes barely lifted toward Bakugo as if this entire situation was less of an interruption and more of an expected daily inconvenience.
"No objections, Katsuki," he said calmly, though the irritation beneath his voice was unmistakable. "I already saved the assignment files."
Bakugo looked genuinely horrified by that information.
For a brief second, actual betrayal crossed his face before he immediately pointed at me with sharp, aggressive gestures while still trying to yell through the scarf restraining his mouth. The result came out as muffled shouting combined with increasingly dramatic arm movements that honestly looked more animated than threatening at this point.
I stared at him quietly for a moment.
Then glanced toward Aizawa.
Then back toward Bakugo, who was now trying to physically pull the scarf off himself while glaring at me like I had personally orchestrated this entire situation just to ruin his life.
A bead of sweat slid slowly down the side of my face.
I sighed.
Honestly, I was not sure why he was acting like this was some form of punishment. It was a history project, not psychological warfare. If anything, I was the one currently trapped in a group assignment with somebody who looked seconds away from detonating the classroom over academic responsibility.
Beside me, Mina leaned closer while visibly struggling not to laugh. "He looks like an angry cat."
"He always looks like an angry cat," Kaminari whispered loudly from across the room.
Bakugo's head snapped toward them so quickly it was honestly concerning.
"MMFH!"
"There!" Kaminari pointed dramatically. "Exactly like that!"
Kirishima completely lost composure beside him, laughing openly while Sero nearly slid out of his chair trying not to choke on his drink. Even Jirou looked mildly entertained despite pretending not to care, one eyebrow lifting slightly as she watched Bakugo continue fighting for his dignity against Aizawa's scarf.
Aizawa finally rubbed his temples with visible regret before loosening the restraint just enough for Bakugo to speak properly again.
"This is bullshit," Bakugo immediately barked the second his mouth was free, sounding deeply offended on a spiritual level. "Why the hell am I stuck doing extra work with her?"
The phrasing alone almost made me blink.
"With her?"
As though I was the inconvenience here.
Aizawa looked seconds away from retiring.
"Because," he answered flatly, his voice carrying the exhausted patience of someone speaking to a difficult child rather than one of U.A.'s strongest students, "you failed your last written history assignment."
The room went completely silent.
Then Kaminari burst into laughter loud enough to nearly fall backward in his chair.
"You failed history?!" he wheezed between laughs, clutching his stomach dramatically.
Bakugo whipped around toward him instantly. "I DIDN'T FAIL!"
"You got a thirty-two," Todoroki said casually without even lifting his eyes from his textbook.
"That's literally failing," Sero added helpfully.
"I KNOW WHAT FAILING IS, DAMN IT!"
The classroom immediately descended into chaos after that.
Kirishima was trying to defend Bakugo while also laughing at him, Kaminari had tears forming in his eyes from amusement, Mina looked moments away from collapsing onto the floor, and even Todoroki quietly glanced up from his textbook with what I could only describe as mild curiosity.
I lowered my head slightly, pressing my lips together in a failed attempt to hide my amusement.
Unfortunately, Bakugo noticed immediately.
His eyes narrowed dangerously the second he caught the small smile pulling at my mouth.
"...The hell are you smiling at?"
I looked back up calmly despite the fact that multiple people nearby were already trying not to laugh harder, "I'm not smiling," I replied smoothly.
"You literally are."
"I think this is just my face."
"It's an annoying face."
Mina gasped dramatically behind me, immediately grabbing Ochako's arm. "Oh my god! They're bonding."
"We are NOT bonding," Bakugo snapped instantly.
The speed of his response only made Mina grin wider.
I quietly opened my textbook before the situation somehow escalated even further, though at this point that outcome felt inevitable no matter what I did.
Too late.
"Aww, Kacchan's embarrassed," Kaminari teased from across the room with absolutely no survival instincts whatsoever.
A loud explosion cracked through the classroom less than a second later.
· · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·
And somehow, through a chain of deeply unfortunate events and one incredibly stubborn argument, this was how I ended up standing in front of Bakugo Katsuki's dorm room later that evening with an extra chair awkwardly balanced in my arms.
Getting to this point had already been exhausting.
The second classes ended and everyone started packing their things, Bakugo immediately started complaining about the project again like Aizawa had personally sentenced him to hard labor instead of assigning a simple history assignment. The argument over where we were supposed to work started almost instantly afterward and, unsurprisingly, went absolutely nowhere productive for several minutes straight.
"We're not doing it in your room," Bakugo said immediately after I casually suggested it while organizing my books.
I looked up from my bag. "Why not?"
"Because I said so."
"That's not an actual answer."
"It is to me."
I stared at him for a second, genuinely trying to understand how somebody could be simultaneously intelligent and impossible to communicate with at the exact same time. Across the classroom, Mina was openly eavesdropping with the biggest grin on her face while Kaminari looked emotionally invested in the argument despite not being involved whatsoever.
"We could just use the common room," I offered again, still attempting to be reasonable.
"Too loud."
"My room then."
"No."
"Library?"
"Too many extras."
"...You do realize this assignment still has to get done regardless of how difficult you make this conversation, right?"
Bakugo clicked his tongue loudly in annoyance like I was somehow the problem here. "Why the hell do you even care where we do it?"
"Because you keep rejecting every option!"
"You're rejecting mine too!"
"You haven't suggested anything!"
At that point, Mina nearly fell out of her chair laughing while Kaminari loudly whispered, "This is better than movie night."
Bakugo immediately snapped toward him. "Shut the hell up!"
"See?" Mina grinned while leaning against her desk dramatically. "Bakugo just doesn't wanna go into a girl's room."
Bakugo looked personally insulted by the accusation. "That's not the damn reason!"
"Then what is the reason?" I asked calmly.
He opened his mouth immediately like he already had an answer prepared.
Then paused.
Then frowned harder.
Exactly.
Honestly, the more he avoided my room specifically, the more convinced I became that Mina was completely right and he was just too prideful to admit it out loud. In the end, after another few minutes of pointless arguing, I gave up trying to negotiate with him because I genuinely valued my remaining patience too much.
"Fine," I sighed eventually while grabbing my things. "We'll use your room."
Bakugo crossed his arms immediately like he had just won something important. "Obviously."
"You are exhausting."
"And you talk too much."
Somewhere behind us, Kaminari whispered a dramatic "young love" before Bakugo nearly exploded his desk.
Before heading upstairs, I stopped by the dorm storage area to grab an extra chair since I highly doubted Bakugo's room magically contained guest seating. The metal legs scraped loudly against the floor while I dragged it through the hallway, earning confused looks from several classmates passing by.
Kaminari spotted me almost immediately.
His eyes widened dramatically. "Oh my god," he gasped while pointing at the chair like he had uncovered a shocking scandal. "You're actually going into Kacchan's room willingly?"
"It's for a project," I replied while continuing down the hallway.
"That's how horror movies start."
"I heard that, dumbass!" Bakugo shouted from somewhere farther ahead.
Kaminari looked delighted rather than threatened.
By the time I finally reached Bakugo's dorm room and awkwardly pushed the door open with my foot, he had apparently already started setting everything up without waiting for me. The moment I stepped inside, my expectations immediately crashed into reality in the most confusing way possible.
His room was... clean.
Not just clean, ridiculously organized.
I paused near the doorway for a second longer than necessary while my eyes slowly scanned across the room. Honestly, I had expected complete chaos. Maybe not outright filth, but definitely something messy enough to match his personality. Clothes thrown across the floor, unmade sheets, random clutter shoved into corners, scorch marks from explosions somehow burned into furniture.
Instead, everything looked controlled almost to an annoying degree.
His desk was spotless except for the neatly organized project materials already spread across the surface. History textbooks sat stacked in orderly piles beside printed papers and opened notebooks filled with sharp handwriting. His laptop was already open with research tabs and videos prepared ahead of time while pens and pencils sat aligned almost aggressively straight beside it. Even the cords near his desk were organized properly instead of tangled into some horrific mess like most teenage boys' rooms usually looked.
The rest of the room followed the exact same pattern.
His bed was perfectly made without a single wrinkle visible across the blanket. Training equipment was arranged carefully on shelves while dumbbells and workout gear sat organized near the corner of the room instead of scattered around carelessly. Nothing looked decorative or overly personal, but everything had its own place with almost military precision.
It caught me off guard more than I wanted to admit.
Because somehow...
The room made sense.
Bakugo himself was loud, aggressive, constantly angry, always moving like an explosion waiting to happen. But underneath all of that chaos, there had always been something weirdly controlled about him too. Even during training, his movements were precise despite how destructive they looked. He never wasted energy carelessly. Every attack had purpose behind it no matter how reckless it seemed from the outside.
And apparently his room reflected the exact same thing.
Bakugo glanced toward me from his desk after realizing I had stopped moving entirely. "Why are you standing there like an idiot?"
I blinked once before finally stepping further inside, dragging the extra chair behind me awkwardly.
"Your room is cleaner than I expected," I admitted honestly while setting the chair down near his desk.
His eyes narrowed immediately like I had somehow insulted him. "The hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know," I said while sitting down carefully. "You just don't seem like the organized type."
Bakugo looked genuinely offended now. "I literally have the highest combat scores in class."
"That has absolutely nothing to do with cleaning."
"It does if you're not stupid."
I stared at him for a moment.
"...Right."
He clicked his tongue before aggressively turning his laptop slightly toward me. "Whatever. Sit down already so we can finish this crap faster."
I pulled the chair closer and glanced over the materials spread across his desk more carefully now that I was sitting beside him. The amount of preparation already done made me blink slightly in surprise.
"You already started?"
"Obviously."
"You were acting like this project ruined your entire life earlier."
"It did."
"But you still prepared everything before I even got here."
Bakugo gave me a flat look like I was being painfully slow. "Complaining and getting things done are two different things."

Chapter IV.
First Person POV (y/n)
The hours passed far more quickly than I expected them to. Somewhere between Mina practically adopting me within the first thirty minutes and the rest of the class gradually introducing themselves one after another, the anxiety I had carried into U.A. that morning slowly began loosening its grip around my chest. I had prepared myself for awkward silences, uncomfortable introductions, maybe even judgment considering I was transferring into Class 1-A halfway through the year from a rival school no less. I expected people to stare too much or ask invasive questions or treat me like someone temporary who would disappear once the novelty wore off.
None of that happened.
To my surprise, everyone welcomed me with an openness that felt almost disarming after Shiketsu's rigid atmosphere. Conversations flowed naturally around me rather than forcing me to struggle my way into them, and instead of sitting alone through classes feeling painfully aware of my presence, I somehow found myself getting pulled into the rhythm of the group before I even realized it was happening. I did not stumble over my words when people asked questions, I did not embarrass myself introducing my quirk, and perhaps most surprisingly of all, nobody seemed interested in making me feel out of place.
By lunch, I had somehow ended up sitting with Uraraka, Tsuyu, Iida, Midoriya, and Todoroki.
It was a quieter group compared to some of the louder students in Class 1-A, but there was something comfortable about the atmosphere around them that immediately put me at ease. Their conversations flowed calmly between discussions about pro heroes, recent incidents shown on the news, online trends, and random observations that probably sounded meaningless to anyone outside their circle. I mostly listened at first, watching the way they interacted with each other. Uraraka laughed easily, bright and warm in a way that made conversations feel effortless, while Tsuyu spoke calmly and directly, never saying more than necessary but somehow always managing to keep the conversation grounded. Iida sat perfectly straight the entire time like his posture alone represented responsibility itself, occasionally adjusting his glasses dramatically whenever he became too passionate about a topic.
Midoriya, however, fascinated me the most.
At first glance, he seemed shy, almost nervous whenever too much attention shifted toward him, but the moment heroes became part of the conversation, it was like something inside him completely changed. His eyes sharpened with excitement, his words started spilling out faster than he could organize them, and suddenly he was analyzing things with terrifying detail as though his brain never actually stopped working for even a second.
At one point during lunch, he shyly offered to show me one of his notebooks after I mentioned noticing him writing earlier in class.
I genuinely was not prepared for the amount of information inside it.
Every page was packed with observations, diagrams, strengths, weaknesses, quirk analysis, combat potential, support possibilities, teamwork compatibility, and notes so detailed it almost looked obsessive. Entire sections were dedicated to his classmates alone, filled with little details I doubted most people even noticed about themselves.
"He writes everything down," Uraraka whispered to me with a small laugh while Midoriya flipped nervously through the pages. "Literally everything."
"I can see that," I murmured softly, though honestly I was more impressed than anything else.
Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, face slightly pink. "S-Sorry if it's weird. I just think quirks are really interesting."
"No," I replied honestly while glancing down at another page covered in annotations. "I think you're really interesting."
That only made him more flustered.
Meanwhile, on the table directly across from ours, absolute chaos was unfolding.
Apparently, they called themselves the "Bakusquad."
I nearly laughed the first time I heard the name because it sounded painfully similar to the kind of middle school friend group title people came up with while desperately trying to seem cooler than they actually were. The entire table radiated loud energy in every possible way. Kaminari and Kirishima spent most of lunch intentionally irritating Bakugo for their own entertainment while Mina and Sero laughed so hard at everything happening that Mina nearly choked on her drink twice.
Bakugo himself looked permanently seconds away from committing violence.
Honestly, I could not even blame him.
At one point Kaminari leaned too far backward in his chair while laughing, accidentally knocking into Sero, who fumbled his tray so badly that half his lunch spilled directly onto himself. The entire table erupted immediately afterward, Mina practically crying from laughter while Kirishima nearly fell out of his seat trying to breathe.
Bakugo loudly called them idiots.
Twice.
Very aggressively.
It was ridiculous.
Loud.
Completely chaotic.
And strangely entertaining.
Even while pretending not to pay attention, I found myself listening to them throughout lunch anyway.
By the time the school day finally ended, my social battery should have been completely dead. Instead, I somehow ended up getting dragged around the dorms by the girls almost immediately after unpacking started. Mina and Uraraka practically claimed responsibility for showing me everything inside Heights Alliance, pulling me from room to room while enthusiastically explaining everyone's decorations like they were giving a personal tour through an art museum.
I quickly realized dorm rooms said far too much about people.
Koda's room immediately became one of my favorites. The moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere softened completely. Plants, animal decorations, soft colors, and tiny pets scattered throughout the space made it feel strangely peaceful compared to the chaos of the rest of the dormitory. It felt safe in the quietest way possible, like the kind of room someone could hide inside after a terrible day and finally breathe properly again.
Mina's room, meanwhile, looked exactly like her personality exploded into physical form. Bright colors, gyaru fashion magazines, loud decorations, fairy lights, makeup products, posters, and enough energy to overwhelm me within seconds of entering. Kaminari's room somehow matched hers perfectly despite being completely different at the same time. Both of them had spaces that reflected exactly who they were without trying to hide it, and I found myself weirdly admiring that.
Everything about U.A. felt more expressive than Shiketsu.
Less controlled.
Less restrained.
People here seemed unapologetically loud about existing.
By the time I finally returned to my own dorm room later that evening, my legs felt like they were genuinely about to give out beneath me. I barely managed to close the door before dramatically collapsing face-first onto my bed with a groan, arms immediately wrapping around the nearest pillow like it was the only thing keeping me alive.
"My legs hurt from the stairs..." I whined quietly into the fabric, sounding embarrassingly childish even to myself.
I had not even changed into pajamas yet.
My shoes were still on.
Part of my unpacked clothes remained sitting half-forgotten near the wall.
But the idea of standing back up felt genuinely impossible.
After a long moment of refusing to move, I lazily reached toward my phone resting beside me and unlocked it with minimal effort, immediately scrolling through random news articles and cat videos filling my feed. The contrast between dramatic hero headlines and videos of orange cats falling off tables was honestly comforting in a strange way.
"Y/N!"
The sudden knock against my dorm door pulled me away from the cat video currently occupying my entire attention span. I groaned quietly into the pillow for a second longer before forcing myself upright with all the energy of someone being dragged unwillingly back into society after finally finding peace. My body immediately protested the movement, legs aching from climbing stairs all evening, and I briefly considered pretending I was asleep.
Unfortunately, another knock came before I could commit to the idea.
"I know you're in there!"
I sighed dramatically under my breath before dragging myself off the bed and making my way toward the door, still dressed in my U.A. uniform because I had apparently become too lazy to complete basic tasks. The second I opened it, Mina was standing there exactly as energetic as she had been all day, as if she possessed some unnatural source of endless stamina the rest of humanity simply lacked.
Her grin widened immediately when she saw me.
"Wanna join our girls night?" she asked brightly, extending a hand toward me with the confidence of someone who already knew the answer she wanted.
I barely had enough time to process the invitation before she grabbed my wrist anyway.
"Even if you say no, I won't let anyone outcast you," she declared dramatically while already dragging me into the hallway before I could properly protest.
"I wasn't going to say no," I laughed softly despite myself, nearly stumbling after her from the sudden movement.
"Good. Then this kidnapping is completely justified."
I could not help smiling a little at that.
The dorm hallways were quieter now compared to earlier in the evening, softer somehow beneath the warm lighting reflecting against polished floors. Voices echoed faintly from behind closed doors while music played somewhere farther down the hallway at a low volume. The entire building carried that relaxed nighttime atmosphere that only existed after long days, when everyone was exhausted enough to stop pretending they had endless energy.
Mina continued dragging me confidently through the corridor until she suddenly stopped in front of another dorm room and pushed the door open without hesitation.
Kyouka's room.
The atmosphere inside immediately felt warm.
The girls were already gathered in a loose circle on the floor around a deck of UNO cards placed dramatically in the middle like some kind of high-stakes gambling setup. Blankets and snacks were scattered everywhere, open chip bags sitting beside pillows while soft music played quietly from somewhere inside the room. The lighting was dimmer than the hallway, mostly coming from decorative lamps and string lights hanging along the walls, making the entire space feel unexpectedly cozy.
Ochako's face immediately lit up the second she noticed me standing near the doorway.
"We are here!" Mina announced proudly like she had successfully completed an important mission.
I smiled despite myself at the dramatic introduction while slipping my shoes off near the entrance before stepping inside properly. The atmosphere instantly felt different from earlier at school. Less like classmates and more like normal teenagers relaxing after classes ended.
"Come sit!" Ochako patted the empty spot beside Momo excitedly.
I quietly moved over and sat down beside her, smoothing my skirt awkwardly beneath me before offering Momo a small polite smile. "Hello."
Momo acknowledged me with a gentle wave and a soft smile of her own, elegant even while sitting casually on the floor in silk pajamas that probably cost more than half my wardrobe combined.
Actually...
Everyone was in pajamas.
I blinked slowly as the realization fully settled over me.
Cute oversized shirts.
Soft hoodies.
Matching shorts.
Comfortable sleepwear.
And then there was me.
Still sitting there in my perfectly buttoned U.A. uniform like I had accidentally attended the wrong event entirely.
Suddenly, I became painfully aware of how formal I looked compared to everyone else. My blazer suddenly felt too stiff, my tie too neat, my entire existence too overdressed for a casual girls night involving card games and snacks.
A small wave of embarrassment crept up my neck.
I awkwardly tugged at my sleeve slightly, suddenly feeling strangely out of place despite how welcoming everyone had been all day. It was silly, honestly. Nobody had said anything. Nobody looked bothered. But sitting there surrounded by girls comfortably dressed for the evening while I still looked prepared for class made me feel weirdly stiff in comparison.
Mina noticed immediately, of course.
Her eyes widened dramatically before she pointed at me like she had discovered a national emergency.
"Oh my god," she gasped loudly. "You're still in uniform." Every head turned toward me at once.
I wanted to disappear instantly.
"I'm sorry, I should've given you a bit of time to relax..." Mina immediately started waving her hands around in apology the second she noticed my awkward expression, nearly smacking Hagakure in the face in the process. "I totally dragged you here before you could even breathe."
Before I could answer, Kyouka cut her off with a small shrug. "You can borrow my clothes if you want," she offered casually while standing up from her spot on the floor. "Please be comfortable."
I blinked in surprise. "Really?"
"Yeah." She walked toward her wardrobe without hesitation and started digging through one of the drawers before pulling out an oversized black band shirt I did not recognize and a pair of grey shorts. "Here."
"Thank you," I said while taking the clothes carefully from her hands.
The girls immediately gave me space while continuing their conversations like this sort of thing happened all the time. Mina and Hagakure were already arguing over whether pineapple belonged on pizza while Momo looked mildly horrified listening to them. Tsuyu sat quietly beside Ochako eating chips while occasionally adding short comments that somehow made the conversation even funnier.
I quickly changed near the corner of the room, trying not to flash an entire audience accidentally while redness slowly crept up my neck anyway. It did not help that Mina loudly announced, "We should totally have matching pajama nights one day!" halfway through me changing shirts.
"You're making her more nervous," Kyouka deadpanned from somewhere behind me.
"I'm trying to be welcoming!"
"You're being loud."
Once I finally changed, I neatly folded my uniform and placed it beside my bag before sitting back down where I had been earlier. The oversized shirt practically swallowed me whole, the sleeves hanging over part of my hands while the fabric smelled faintly like laundry detergent and perfume. Honestly, it was way more comfortable than my uniform.
The second I sat down, Ochako immediately shoved snacks toward me.
"Here!" She handed me a bag of chips and a canned drink with a bright smile. "And let us know if you want anything."
"Thank you," I laughed softly, accepting them.
Mina dramatically pointed at me from across the UNO cards spread over the floor. "Okay, now you officially look like part of the girls night."
"Was there a dress code?" I asked.
"Yes," Hagakure answered immediately despite being invisible. "Comfortable and emotionally prepared for betrayal during UNO."
"That's not a real dress code," Momo sighed.
"It is tonight."
I could not help laughing quietly as I opened the chips. The atmosphere inside the room felt ridiculously easygoing now that I was no longer sitting there in full uniform looking like I accidentally walked into the wrong event. Everyone kept talking over each other without any real structure to the conversation, jumping from gossip to heroes to random online drama within seconds.
At one point Mina started ranting dramatically about how Kaminari and Kirishima shared exactly one functioning braincell between them while Ochako laughed so hard she nearly dropped all her cards. Tsuyu calmly admitted she thought Kaminari was funny anyway, and Kyouka immediately muttered, "That explains a lot actually," under her breath.
Even I started relaxing enough to join in occasionally.
Mostly laughing.
Sometimes commenting.
By the time the UNO game actually started, the room had somehow devolved into complete chaos. Mina celebrated every reverse card like she had won a championship tournament while Momo took the rules far too seriously. Hagakure kept forgetting whose turn it was, Ochako apologized every time she used a draw four card, and Kyouka looked one inconvenience away from flipping the entire deck across the room.
"This is personal now," Mina whispered dramatically after getting skipped three times in a row.
"You say that every round," Kyouka replied flatly.
"I mean it every round."

Chapter III.
First Person POV (y/n)
After I was seated between a boy named Aoyama and a girl with pink skin named Mina, the atmosphere of the classroom gradually shifted from its initial sharp curiosity into something looser, though not necessarily calmer. It felt like a group of people who were trying to pretend they were not all subtly aware of the same thing at once, which in this case was me. I kept my posture steady and composed, hands resting neatly over my bag in my lap, while I could still feel glances drifting in my direction from different corners of the room. Some were open and curious, some were more discreet, but all of them carried the same underlying question that no one had spoken out loud yet.
Aoyama, sitting on my other side, offered me a smile that was almost theatrical in its precision, like he had practiced it in a mirror and decided it deserved to be used at the exact right moment. Mina, on the other hand, had no sense of timing or restraint in the best way possible. She leaned slightly closer within seconds of me sitting down, her entire presence bright and energetic in a way that felt impossible to ignore, as if she was physically incapable of sitting still for more than a few seconds at a time. The contrast between the two of them alone was enough to make me blink once in mild confusion before I even fully processed what was happening.
"Hi! I'm Mina Ashido!" she introduced herself with immediate enthusiasm, her grin wide and completely unfiltered, like she had already decided we were going to be friends regardless of my opinion on the matter.
"I'm Y/N," I replied after a brief pause, offering a small but polite smile in return, the kind I had perfected over years of adapting to unfamiliar environments.
Before anything further could develop, the front of the classroom shifted again, pulling the attention of everyone inside without warning. Mr. Aizawa's voice cut through the lingering chatter in a low, tired tone that did not carry any sense of urgency or ceremony, as if he were simply mentioning something casually rather than introducing a new student into one of the most prestigious hero courses in the country. "Take this chance to get along with her. I'm napping."
There was a moment of silence that followed immediately after, not quite confusion but something closer to resigned acceptance from the students who were clearly already familiar with him. I watched, slightly caught off guard, as he reached toward the side of the room and pulled out a yellow sleeping bag with practiced ease, as though this was something he had prepared in advance specifically for situations like this. Without hesitation, he stepped into it, lowered himself down onto the floor of the classroom, and settled in with the kind of efficiency that suggested this was not unusual in any way.
And then, almost instantly, he stopped moving.
Within seconds, his breathing evened out.
He was asleep.
Just like that.
No further instructions. No introduction. No explanation beyond what had already been said.
I stared at him for a moment longer than I probably should have, waiting for some additional context or follow-up that would make the situation feel less surreal, but none came. The classroom simply existed around him as if this was an accepted part of daily life, something that required no commentary or reaction beyond mild acknowledgement.
Slowly, I shifted my attention back to the rest of the class.
Mina looked entirely unbothered, still smiling as if this was completely normal. Aoyama gave a small, elegant shrug as though he, too, had accepted the situation as part of the school's charm. Others were already beginning to talk again, the moment of interruption fading quickly into background noise.
I leaned slightly toward Mina, lowering my voice just enough so it would not carry across the room. "Is this normal?"
Mina blinked at me once, then immediately brightened again as if the question itself was amusing. "Oh yeah! Mr. Aizawa does that all the time. He says sleeping is part of recovery or something."
I paused, processing that answer slowly.
"...Right," I said after a moment, glancing once more at the sleeping figure on the floor. "Of course he does."
Aoyama tilted his head from my other side, placing a hand dramatically against his chest as if offering commentary on a stage performance. "It is... how you say... very unique, yes?"
I exhaled softly through my nose, leaning back slightly in my seat as my gaze drifted across the room again. Somewhere between Shiketsu's rigid discipline and this chaotic acceptance of exhaustion as a teaching method, I was beginning to suspect I had entered a completely different world altogether.
The sudden shout cut through the classroom like a shockwave.
"Damn bastard! No one is fucking normal in this school!"
A blonde boy slammed his palm down on the desk as he spoke, sparks crackling violently across his hand with a sharp, unstable snap of electricity. The sound made a few students flinch instinctively, chairs scraping slightly against the floor as the energy in the room shifted from casual conversation to something more alert and reactive. Even Aoyama beside me stiffened in exaggerated elegance, while Mina let out a small "whoa" under her breath like she was more impressed than intimidated. The hell you mean 'whoa'?
I turned my head slightly to look at him.
He was leaning forward in his seat, teeth clenched, eyes sharp with irritation that looked like it had been building for a while rather than appearing in that moment alone. The electricity dancing across his palm flickered again when his grip tightened, as if reacting to his emotions rather than fully obeying him. It was loud, messy, unfiltered energy in a way that felt almost the complete opposite of the controlled environments I was used to.
For a second, I just watched him. Not because I was afraid. But because I was trying to understand why he looked so angry at something so simple as a classroom introduction.
Around the room, some students reacted immediately. A few sighed like they were already used to it. Someone in the back muttered something under their breath. Others looked entertained in a way that suggested this was not the first time something like this had happened. The atmosphere quickly stabilized again, but not in a calm way, more like everyone had collectively decided to let it pass and move on without making it a bigger issue.
I glanced toward Mr. Aizawa.
Still asleep.
Of course.
Then my eyes returned to the blonde boy. "...That seems unnecessarily loud," I thought quietly, more to myself than anyone else.
Mina leaned slightly closer again, whispering with clear amusement as if she had already decided that personal space was more of a suggestion than a rule. "That's Bakugo. Don't take it personally, he's always like that." She shrugged with a bright, easy smile that made it sound like explosions in the middle of class were just another minor inconvenience of daily school life rather than something worth questioning. There was a casual confidence in the way she said it, like she had already normalized every strange thing I had witnessed in the last ten minutes, including a sleeping teacher and a boy yelling at the top of his lungs while sparking bombs across his hand.
Then, without hesitation, her attention snapped back to me again with renewed curiosity, as if Bakugo's outburst had only been a brief interruption in her real mission. "Tell me, Y/N, what's your quirk?" she asked, and before I could fully respond or even mentally prepare myself for the sudden shift in focus, she stood up from her seat with complete lack of hesitation and dragged her blue plastic chair across the floor until it scraped loudly beside mine. The sound cut through the classroom's remaining chatter and immediately pulled attention in our direction, subtle conversations dying down as nearby students began pretending they were not listening while very clearly listening.
I blinked once, slightly startled by both the noise and the closeness, suddenly aware that the conversation was no longer private in any sense of the word. The boy sitting on the other side of my desk leaned forward just slightly, acting like he was adjusting his posture while clearly trying to hear better, and I could feel multiple pairs of eyes shifting toward me with open curiosity. It was not uncomfortable exactly, but it was unfamiliar in a way that made me more aware of my own voice, my own presence, and the weight of answering in front of so many people at once.
For a moment, I hesitated, not because I did not know what to say, but because I was used to how conversations like this usually ended. At Shiketsu, people reacted with controlled interest, polite nods, carefully measured questions. Here, it felt more immediate, like whatever I said would be absorbed and judged in real time rather than filed away for later. My fingers tightened slightly around my bag strap before I consciously forced them to relax, grounding myself in the physical sensation of something normal.
"My quirk..." I started quietly, then paused briefly as I organized my thoughts into something simple enough to explain without opening doors I was not ready to walk through. "It's a healing-type quirk."
A soft ripple moved through the room almost instantly, not loud enough to be disruptive but noticeable enough to change the atmosphere. A few students shifted in their seats, some exchanging quick glances, while others simply looked more attentive, as if the mention of healing immediately placed me into a different category from what they had expected. Mina's expression brightened even further, clearly excited by the answer, while Aoyama tilted his head slightly as though trying to place my quirk into something more elegant or poetic in his mind.
I continued before the silence could stretch too long, keeping my voice steady despite the attention focused on me. "I can restore injuries and stabilize people in critical condition. Broken bones, internal damage, things like that. It works best on physical trauma." I paused for a moment, choosing my next words more carefully, then added in a quieter tone, "The more serious the injury, the more it strains my body in return."
That last part settled into the air differently than the rest. It was not dramatic, not emphasized, but it still changed the way some of them looked at me, like they were recalculating something they had assumed was simple. I kept my expression calm, though I was suddenly aware of how easily I had said something I usually avoided explaining in detail. The truth was always more complicated than the version I gave people, but I had learned early on that most people did not actually want the full truth. They wanted something understandable. Something safe.
Mina blinked once, then leaned back slightly in her chair again, still smiling but now with a more thoughtful edge beneath her excitement. "That's actually insane," she said honestly, as if she was impressed rather than intimidated. "So you're like... a walking recovery station?"
Aoyama lifted a hand delicately to his cheek, eyes half-lidded as though he was evaluating something far more elegant than battlefield support. "Magnifique," he murmured, as if the word itself carried more weight than simple admiration. "A rare and precious ability indeed."
From somewhere behind them, someone muttered quietly, "That's actually really useful in combat..." a boy with glasses.
I let out a small breath I had not realized I was holding, offering a polite but restrained smile that did not quite match the way my thoughts were still adjusting to how openly they were discussing my quirk. At Shiketsu, abilities like mine had been acknowledged, yes, but always with distance. Useful, but secondary. Supportive, but never central. Here, however, it felt like they were already imagining how I would fit into their world, as if my presence had immediate value beyond just observation.
Mina suddenly leaned forward again, grin widening as if she had already moved on to the next thought without finishing the previous one. "Okay, you're officially interesting, Y/N."
I blinked at that, the word catching slightly in my mind.
"Interesting?" I repeated quietly, not entirely sure what that was supposed to mean in this context.
"Yeah!" she said without hesitation, leaning back again but still angled toward me like she had no intention of losing interest anytime soon. "We don't get many healing quirks in hero course classes. You're gonna be super important in team fights."
Important.
The word lingered longer than it probably should have.

Chapter II.
First Person POV (y/n)
Ever since I manifested my quirk, my mother kept nagging me about how I shouldn't let others see how far I could use my quirk. She said it could be harmful to me yet I refused to believe her. I want to be a hero who could help others and that meant I would do anything to save them without giving another thought about the outcomes.
It was disappointing at first when I first got my quirk, I wanted to kick villains arses instead of watching from the sidelines. I wanted to shine under the people's gaze pointing at me, at how wonderful my quirk is. But all I could do is sit and overwork my body, my energy by healing people who would only give small thanks and praise the hero's who deal with the villain's. Unfair.
Still, I smiled through it anyway, pretending the bitterness sitting heavily in my chest did not exist. Maybe it was selfish to want recognition for saving people. Maybe heroes who stood in the middle of collapsing streets and fought villains head on deserved the praise more than someone kneeling behind them, hands glowing while desperately trying to keep another person breathing. I understood that much. I really did.
But understanding it did not make the feeling disappear.
There were moments when I watched pro heroes on television, uniforms torn and faces smeared with dirt while crowds screamed their names with admiration, and something ugly curled quietly inside me. I wanted that too. I wanted people to look at me with awe instead of relief. I wanted to be strong enough to protect people before they needed saving in the first place.
Instead, all I seemed capable of doing was cleaning up the aftermath.
LATE MAY, DURİNG MİDTERMS
I walked through the empty hallways of U.A. beside Principal Nezu, my footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors as we moved deeper into the building. The place felt strangely still for somewhere that was supposed to produce the future of heroes. It was not the kind of silence that felt peaceful either. It was the kind that made you aware of how many people were missing from it, like the building itself was holding its breath until something inevitably broke the quiet.
Sunlight poured through the wide corridor windows in long, warm strips that stretched across the floor and disappeared into corners I could not see clearly from where I stood. Dust particles floated lazily through the light, completely unconcerned with the weight of my thoughts. Somewhere far away, a door slammed, followed by the distant rumble of movement and voices I could not quite make out. It reminded me that the silence here was only temporary, a fragile thing waiting to be replaced by chaos the moment classes ended.
Principal Nezu walked slightly ahead of me, his small figure moving with an unbothered confidence that almost felt surreal in contrast to the atmosphere around him. It was difficult to tell whether he was intentionally slow or if this was simply his natural pace, but either way I found myself matching it without thinking.
As we continued walking, a sudden burst of noise shattered the calm without warning. It was loud enough that I instinctively slowed my steps, my attention snapping toward the nearby classroom we were passing. The voice that came through the door was not just loud, it was deliberately loud, filled with dramatic rhythm and exaggerated confidence that made it impossible to ignore.
English rap lyrics, poorly filtered through a very enthusiastic speaker.
There was also singing. Or what sounded like singing. It was difficult to tell where the line between performance and chaos actually was.
I stopped walking completely for a moment.
Principal Nezu noticed immediately but did not comment, simply tilting his head slightly as if waiting for my reaction to form on its own.
"...Who made him a teacher in the first place?" I asked quietly, unable to stop the words from slipping out before I could properly filter them.
Principal Nezu let out a soft, amused sound that might have been a laugh. "An excellent question. One that has been asked by students and staff alike on multiple occasions."
Another burst of shouting came from behind the door, followed by what sounded suspiciously like someone slamming a desk in rhythm, as if the classroom itself had become part of the performance. I stared at the door for a few seconds longer than necessary, trying to decide whether this was something I would get used to or something I would permanently question for the rest of my time here.
Probably both.
We eventually moved on, leaving the sound behind us as it faded into the corridor like it had never existed. But even after it was gone, the impression remained. U.A. did not feel like Shiketsu, not even close. At Shiketsu High School, everything had been structured with precision, each step of the day carefully controlled, each student trained to maintain discipline above all else. Even the silence there had carried authority, as if it existed to remind you that you were being watched, measured, and shaped into something greater.
We stopped in front of class 1-A door, Princpal Nezu waited for a moment after knocking the door before sliding it open. There stood Eraser Head with a unpleasant expression, his grey scarf stretched out to someone in the class yet I couldn't see who. The scarf wrapped around his neck once he turned to us, locking his tired gaze with mines. I gulped, I wasn't the one who usually got nervous in this situtaions but his gaze made me feel smaller.
"Right," he started with a sigh rubbing his temples before turning back to the students, "some of you might have seen the changes in the student list of class 1-A, we will be having another student joining in this class. So..." He locked eyes with a certain someone before welcoming me inside, "Get along well." he completed his talk after I stepped in clutching my bag in my sweaty palms.
Attention snapped onto me.
Every sound seemed to thin out for a moment, like the entire room was briefly holding its breath just like the hallway had.
I tightened my grip on my bag again, forcing my shoulders to stay steady.
I was not the one who usually got nervous.
But standing there, under the weight of unfamiliar eyes, I suddenly understood what my mother might have meant when she said people always look at miracles differently depending on how much they know about them.

“T-toru-unghfmm-!” You let out a cry of his name, his fingers passing through your pretty swollen pink lips squeezing your tongue between his fingers before letting you suck on them like a whore.
“Stick with me— ah, sweetheart, f’me yeah?” His voice behind you was clearly enough to sent shivers through your whole body, squeezing your thighs together as he rammed your tight cunt like an animal in heat. You could only give him a small nod.
Your ripped tights were long forgotten, the ripped parts digging through your flesh. Wearing a mini skirt around him today was only to tease him, none of you thought about you ending up on the kitchen island bending your back at the right angle for his fat tip ramming against your sweetest spot over and over again.
“Look at you, god- clenching perfectly around me everytime I hit this spot. You like it when I do that, baby? Hmm?” He purred. His chest was now pressed against your back, you could feel his damned muscles from the way his movements. You let out a moan once he fully sink his cock all the way inside, his tip almost hitting your cervix.
He knew how to make your eyes roll all the way back, making your mouth open but only be able to moan or stutter his name like a prayer. “T-too deep- hngh~— fuck!” You let your head go limp on the counter biting down your bottom lip in order to stop your embarrassing sounds.
“Don’t pass out on me darling, you’re the one who wore this pretty skirt to rile me up.” He moved back to flip you to see your face, lazily moving around and sitting back at the counter with his help. Both of your breaths came out heavy, staring each other before he pushed his cock back into you. One of his hand behind your head pushing down just to make you watch him disappear into your swollen cunt. Your mind going hazy from the voices as he thrusts relentlessly.
“You like watching it don’t you- fuck! I can feel you getting tighter and tighter…” He laughed with trembling breathes and pulled your hair back just kiss you, absolutely devouring your lips. Letting our soft whimpers whenever you bite or suck his bottom lip easily, bottoming out the way you kiss him.
“So good f’me…hahh— you’re always t’good.” His movements was getting sloppier each second, pressing his lips all over you, wherever he could find. Desperately chasing his climax while moaning out your name, holding your hips down.
“Fuck you’re gonna make me cum— fuck! God- fuuck~!” He body shivered at the same time as yours, throwing his head back shutting his eyes from the overwhelming pleasure as you clenched around him trying to calm down from your own high.
“ ‘Toru-“
“Let’s go another round, yeah? In the bedroom this time.” He smirked cupping your cheeks just to kiss the tip of your nose before scooping your tired body to carry into your shared room.
This was definitely going to be a long night.
