It’s their favorite part of the day.
Hourly Comic Day is Monday, Feb 1st, aka TOMORROW! I participate every year so keep a lookout for my comics! For those who don’t know, it’s where you draw a least a panel for every hour you’re awake documenting your day. I’ll probably post them as I go throughout the day on twitter and instagram and make one big post about them after I finish for tumblr!
Nanananananana Nanananananana bat goblin!
Karaoke night was always a good night at the Horde.
Here’s a little chef for Goblin Week.
Hello, new friend.
Taken from an idea Scott McCloud had on Twitter the other day. I just used random subject lines from promotional emails and added some birds. Try it out!
Early into our first lockdown this year, I got interested in working on my writing craft. Since I didn’t study creative writing in college, I’ve always felt behind the rest of the world when it comes to putting sentences together, so I was delighted to discover Graywolf Press’ “Art Of” series.
I wrote a little bit about the series on my blog and a couple other craft podcasts I’ve found especially helpful.

Early into our first lockdown this year, I became interested in honing my writing craft.
Mini Memoir Zine Prompt: Your Favorite Childhood Food
I thought I'd try something different for a zine today. Here’s my first #MiniMemoirZine prompt!
I have many cherished memories around food (I really like to eat), and I bet you might as well. Don't worry about making your zine perfect—try to only spend 30 minutes on it!
if you make one, use the hashtag #MiniMemoirZine and tag me! I'd love to see what you make! For those of you new to zines, I have more instructions, and this one as a free printable on my website:

I’ve never been able to keep up with daily practices or diaries/journals, but for the past couple of months, I’ve done pretty well with a modified version of @thenearsightedmonkey’s 4 minute diary.
In the morning, I’ll write down everything I remembered/saw from the day before, and add a squiggle, or some gratitudes, and then in the evening, I’ll take a couple scenes from the entry draw them out and write them in the first person.
Do you journal? What works for you?
I bet you can’t guess how many times I had to rewrite this one.
A few ways to keep yourself entertained in our next lockdown!
Hey, I’m trying.
DAY 17: I spent the morning clearing out the fridge this morning and trying (and failing) to get our WiFi back up (My wife figured it out!). I’m grateful that losing the food in our fridge isn’t going to send us under, but it sure was painful having to throw out all that produce.
