Another throwback post... Alicia and I have been friends since the tender age of five. When she asked me to be in her wedding, well, that was a no-brainer. From getting ready at her parents house (where we spent many a slumber party not sleeping) to the backyard ceremony on the water in Cecil County, it was a beautiful day full of laughter and true celebration.  It’s almost three years later and Alicia and her wonderful husband Nick have bought their first home and she and I are talking about dusting off her dress and doing a photo shoot this spring. So stay tuned! I may be sharing more photos of this beautiful person -- inside and out -- very soon.

I was going through old photos and came across these babies. I helped a friend photograph the opening of Mobtown Ballroom in Baltimore a few years back. So much fun, and I got in a few dances myself. Expect a few more throwback posts this week.

I had a blast hitting the snow-covered hills this week for work (check out the full gallery at abc2news.com). After Maryland got a couple inches of snow, most major school systems closed. I let the kids and their parents re-introduce me to the magic of a snow day.

Sledding with friends, eating snow, throwing a snowball, making a snow angel... The kids definitely brought back how much fun it all is when you're small.

They were so gracious to let me be a part of it and welcome my otherwise intruding camera. I was even offered a sled ride! Any day I'm behind a camera and not in front of a computer is a good day. My workday in the snow definitely made my week.

My boyfriend and our cat Psst looking at each of us in turn like we are crazy people. I got my new camera in the mail which was like experiencing Christmas all over again. (Don't worry, this was a few weeks ago and our tree is now tucked away in a closet) Who better to assault with my new toy than my housemates? I happened to catch Ian in the middle of a laugh and this series still makes me smile.

Krista was a great model. We were helping out my cousin (who did Krista's gorgeous hair and makeup). No special occasion, just fun. And how lucky is my cousin to have such a picturesque scene just outside her back yard?

I had the opportunity to photograph my cousin Bethany and her beautiful, growing family. Steven wasn't really in the mood for photos (he faked his nap so he could play), but what is childhood without a little silliness? I love the spontaneous moments and animated expressions he brought to the table. You can tell it's never a dull moment in their household. Just wait until little Lucas can keep up with his big brother!

My cousin asked me to snap a few photos before her senior homecoming dance. I agreed. This is about how the conversation went.

Me: Sure, Aimee. I'll do it. Just you and a friend? Do you guys have dates?

Aimee: Yea me and my friends. It's just seven couples. You can do professional photos in 30 minutes, right?

Me: Umm...

We got on the same page on a timeline and I had a lot of fun with it. Bonus: I'm pretty pleased with the results. Social media tells me the kids weren't too disappointed either. I saw a lot of familiar profile pictures floating around (with credit, thanks guys!).
