Week 4 Reflection: RISE Peer Feedback
Dubraska, I really enjoyed your digital story because it was so engaging and authentic. I love that you used so many personal pictures and your use of the google images search was genius. I also love that you made your story so personal. I'm curious to know why you chose that template. It was a great choice in my opinion. Perfect for story telling. My suggestion would be to customize your template a bit more since your story was so authentic and personal, just so everything would be more cohesive. Also, your story could have gone into detail but I'm kind of glad you didn't because you left a sense of wonder by leaving out some details. Overall, I really enjoyed your story!

Week 2 Analysis: Businesses & The Visual Web
In this blog post, I will be analyzing how three organizations: 1. Full Sail University 2. Dollar Shave Club 3. Science World utilize the visual web in order to connect with their audience.
Full Sail University utilizes Pinterest really well. There's a category for any and everything dealing with Full Sail. From food, to inspiration, student work, and much more. I think Pinterest was a great choice for Full Sail since it allows you to present information in a clean and organized way. Pinterest really differs from Full Sail's own blog because it is so organized, clean, and easy on the eyes. Although there is a ton of information, it doesn't seem overwhelming. Since Pinterest allows for there to be easy interaction between the page admin and the page visitors, it's a great tool for Full Sail to connect with their students, faculty, and potential prospects.
Dollar Shave Club's visual content on instagram is very consistent. They post a variety of images that all seem to be cohesive with their overall brand. The images also do a great job at sparking the interests of their target market. There is an overall theme that they maintain. It's like a perfect mix of vintage, rustic, and modern graphics. Although they do post pictures of their products, their Instagram doesn't look like an advertising platform. It's interactive, up to date, and engaging. They engage their audience by keeping their posts relevant and consistent. For example, around the holidays, they placed their products near holiday decorations. They also engage their audience by posting images of health and wellness products and methods. They created a lifestyle through their images, instead of just posting their own products and deals.
The Science World Facebook page seems to be geared towards educators, parents, and children. Although I'm not an educator, parent, or child, I was very intrigued by the content they posted on their page. I could explore their pages for hours because they made learning about science fun and egaging again. Whenever there is a photo or video of people, they always look like they're having fun and enjoying themselves while learning. And by using a cartoon network banner along with lots of colorful and fun looking posts, they've created an engaging web page.

Week 2 Practice: Visual Communication
I chose these four images because they are visual representations of the social aspect of media communications. The photo on the left is the cover art for a movie called "The Joneses'. The movie is about a family of marketers who host social events in order to sell products. The other photos depicts social interaction with speech and holding hands.

When Music Speaks
To me, music is one of the most beautiful forms of communication. It’s the universal language, allowing people from all over the world to SPEAK to one another through harmonies and musical melodies. And although the lyrics may speak to our hearts and minds, it’s the instrumentals that speak to our souls.
