Hiya! I'm Kismet, and I'm part of the development team for the Visual Novel, Thrill Seeker! I'm also a quokka-loving Vtuber with an ambition for learning!

so im aware that I disappeared for uh... 3 months. im not dead luckily. got kinda close a couple times though T-T

a bunch of things happened this year, from getting disowned to getting multiple life-changing medical diagnoses, and on top of that i have school and a job. this year has been a roller coaster, and i was not in the right headspace to do anything creative really.

im back, and ill be launching a sort of slow rebrand. i love quokkas, but i dont feel like i resonate with my old self from months ago.

see, im actually an artificer 0-0. yeah, the quokka thing was a bit of a cover up... osha might be after me after multiple workplace violations (hey its not my fault 4 of my workshops have blown up)

i might have gone through like 5 character development arcs in like 3 months 0-0.

again, im sorry for just disappearing. i still want to give this content thing a chance, and im genuinely interested in streaming.

for any of you who have been eagerly awaiting the visual novel version of Thrill Seeker (@thrill-seeker-vn), let's see where that goes. thank you for your patience. im not anywhere close to completing it, but im willing to give this another chance.

im currently in the process of applying to universities and finishing my schooling, so ill be busy in the next few months, but after that expect some concrete stuff!!!

5 LOW DEX SAVES IN A ROW IN A DND BATTLE

MY LUCK IS NON EXISTENT

Basically, I'm playing an ORV dnd campaign with some friends, and i essentially have the skill "Divine Engineer," which allows me to

a) Magnetize and change the polarity of objects within 2 feet (for now)

b) Bend and shape any metal that I am in contact in

c) Transmute materials based on how far they are in the periodic table

d) Manipulate Energy

When I tell you that every roll I made was NOT ENOUGH

I made a freaking mecha suit, tried to crush this guy underground (APPARENTLY GUNS ARE TOO OP), tried shish kabobing him with metal, turned the whole station into metal to control, flew and dodged with quickly switching the polarity of objects and energies

On top of that i have to calculate this stuff in real time too, (so that its not too op i guess) which isnt an issue at all, im totally chill with that

but then the FUCKING RNG

Basically i get beat into a pulp cause his ability triples his stats and i couldn' t roll high dex saves.

I was pondering our attachment to objects. We as human beings tend to be really attached to certain objects and tend to elevate their value depending on emotional factors (WHICH ISN'T A BAD THING BTW, JUST INTERESTING). For example, I have a stuffed bear I've had since I was a baby that was worth 100 Pakistani rupees at the time (that's like 0.50 CAD nowadays). I'm never getting rid of that bear though, because emotionally its value has been elevated to such a high degree that any amount of money wouldn't be enough for me to give it to someone else.

Another object like that for me is a lead pencil I've been using since 7th grade. I have some textural sensory issues, and I really despise the feeling of writing against paper. However, this lead pencil absorbs the vibration so well that it doesn't bother me as much. There was this one time last year when I thought I lost the pencil, and I was way more upset than I thought I would be (since I've never seen another pencil like that). It wasn't just the fact that I lost a tool that helps me with my sensory issues, it was the fact that I thought I lost "my favourite pencil."

I feel like if it ever broke I'd probably still keep it for sentimental value. Brains are weird guys.

Do any of you have any objects like these?

Hello all! I wanted to establish a boundary since things have sort of gotten out of hand.

I won't be entertaining any more nipple related asks, or asks about any body parts in particular. It was funny the first few days, its not funny anymore.

On top of that, I've been getting a lot of really sexual related asks, and inquiries about my sexuality. I'm putting this out there, with me, that's not okay and way beyond what I'm comfortable with.

When I say I don't have an opinion on bodies, that isn't an invitation to try and pry into my personal life or tell me that I'm missing out. I wasn't gonna say this outright, but I'm asexual, and I'm used to these kinds of responses, but that doesn't mean that I like them. So please refrain from asking me about my sexual preferences or favourite body part, because I don't have any. It's that simple.

And even if I did, those are still really weird questions to ask.

Remember, this is a game development and content creation blog, so please respect that. I'm open to most questions, just no more sexual or body related ones.

The way I found out about this was very funny though. For context, @thrill-seeker-vn and I work on a lot of other projects together, and we often book a study room at our local library to lock in for a couple hours. During a study break, I was trying to figure out her taste in video game characters so that I could convince her to play star rail with me. (GAMBLING YES YES)

So after a bit of thinking on my side I realized she likes tall people who are like super protective of their family and friends and have strong moral values.

So me being me, I was like AHA Gepard and Boothill!

Now Gepard she really liked, Boothill on the other hand...

That was the day I realized Boothill had nipples (yes, I didn't notice until she pointed it out) and learned of her strong distaste for them.

She still doesn't like cowboy cyborg man that can't swear, T-T

I'm indifferent I guess? I wouldn't say I like or hate them, they're just on the body. No opinion.

Like if a character has visible nipples, like Boothill for example, I wouldn't start hating the character solely for that reason (cough @thrill-seeker-vn cough).

Am I just weird? Don't really feel a certain way about bodies or body parts in general.

Small Disclaimer About OC lore posts.

If you've been looking at my lore posts, as well as me answering asks, you may have noticed that I answer in third person. This is mostly because the vtuber lore is kinda weird.

"Kismet" as the vtuber persona would never answer these questions, therefore its hard to answer lore questions in character. Yes, "Kismet" the vtuber uses the Tumblr. but I'm also just a lil guy who's on Tumblr.

Basically, feel free to ask lore questions, but "Kismet" isn't the one answering those questions. It's some mysterious third party, oh I don't know, maybe some lil guy close to her. No, of course I'm not the quokka, what are you all on about, quokkas can't type (no you are not being threatened at gun point, wdym?).

Basically, lore posts are OOC.

Hello dear :-) It's so good to see the loveliest person in the world is active right now!!

With that being said... let's bring on the LORE (so please answer these two for me please please please!!):

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

An ask from my favourite person in the whole world?! Hehe thanks for bringing me back from the no post void.

Desire: I think thats pretty obvious, world domination of course! I mean look at the pinned post.

In reality though, its more of a desire to make a lasting meaningful impact on the world. Side note, a lot of the lore direction is inspired by my own experiences, and this is something that I aim to do as well. In a way the lore kinda aligns with my own ambitions.

Break: Kismet has a deep fear of feeling useless. She has a lot of self doubt, and really struggles with separating her "failures" with her own sense of self worth. This was really bad when she dropped out of the Genetikos Research Institute, as she was repeatedly told that she had essentially halted any hope of progressing in the academic world. The only one who was there for her at that point of time was actually the quokka! Adorable lil guy, that one.

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

OOOH this is a good one!

Kismet is actually a pretty heavy sleeper, but when she can't sleep its usually due to anxiety, worrying about her plans flopping, and wondering if one day she'll be exposed to be not as smart or capable as she appears (we love imposter syndrome guys).

Instead of sleeping, she's usually scribbling down new ideas, refining old ideas, pacing her workshop, and trying to make sure that the quokka won't blow something up in the workshop. If she really can't sleep, she'll turn to perfecting her inventions, as well as assembling and reassembling her gadgets, which can take her to the wee hours of the morning.
