In color correction suites they have these cool scopes and mini monitors that look like something you’d find in a vintage submarine. Usually the patterns that appear on them are indiscernible, but if an image of a face is particularly clear and contrasty a ghostly visage will emerge. Here is such an image appearing in the RGB parade on the waveform monitor of the Book 3 villain.
Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. More skill than simple sight was required for its use. An elegant weapon. It was a symbol as well. Anyone can use a blaster or a fusioncutter - but to use a lightsaber well was the mark of someone a cut above the ordinary.
This was the side dish accompanying the pork chops in last Sunday’s post. Kale is (still) all the rage right now, and it’s delicious and nutritious!
1 bunch kale
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
1. Wash the kale. Remove the leaves and coarsely chop. Dice the stems.
2. Add a bit of oil to pan/pot, and cook the onions for ~ 2-3 min. Add the garlic and stems, and cook for ~ 1 min.
3. Add in the leaves and a tiny bit of water. Cover and cook - the leaves should start to wilt.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Once the leaves are all wilted, cook for another ~ 3-4 min (depending on the desired texture).
