Hey there! I'm Ruzha, but feel free to call me Kismet and/or Kirin. I'm just kind of here in this corner of the internet where I'll sporadically post my art. Most if it will relate to my own stories and characters unless otherwise stated.
Some Flight Rising dragons I drew as a gift for @melonmarzal of a few of their dragons from their most recent pinkerlocke. It's been so fun keeping up with their stories throughout the years and all the characters they create.
It's also been ages since I've fully drawn any FR dragons, so it was fun to do it again after so long.
One day I'll start consistently sharing my art here more often.
Anyways as soon as I got a break from college, I immediately was consumed by the art bug and scribbled this up. It even comes with a bonus mini story.
Quick note: I was really bad at posting Deadline stuff here but shh it doesn't matter now, I cancelled the original version so I can be free of the fandom it was tied to and add it to my original universe for more creative freedom. This is the newer original version that is my latest adoration.
If you're completely unfamiliar with it, the main focus is anti-grav vehicle racing because hell yeah.

Valgara's setting sun illuminated its dying orange light through the windows of Crown Hall, the primary route that lead race spectators to and from the stadium. With no public race currently going on, the hall was closed to visitors, leaving Reaver and Frija the only two walking through it after their practice had come to a close.
Every window was a piece of art, stained glass portraits of previous pilots who had won the champion title in the league. They only made up a quarter of the hall, as the rest were empty designs awaiting the victors of the future. It was towards the end of the line that Reaver could recognize the champions and point them out by name, though there was one in particular they knew the best.
Reaver paused in front of their window, staring. Frija walked past them, but stopped after a few steps when she noticed that they were lingering for a while.
The figure in the window was Caelus, a hybrid of two species just like Reaver. The sun forming a halo behind their head symbolized their first win, like all the others, and the white orbs were moons that represented subsequent ones, for a total of nine victories. What wasn't depicted was the fact all the wins were back-to-back, a feat believed to be impossible.
Reaver glanced at Frija from the corner of their eye, then focused back on the window.
"You deserve to be there."
Frija chuckled initially, flattered. "And what? You don't?"
Reaver flicked their tail. They sighed and slowly looked at her, where there was a frown on her face. She knew there was something wrong, even before they spoke. "You— you're the league's first human! You deserve to be immortalized as the first human champion!"
She looked confused, looking at Reaver before she looked at the rest of the hall before them. "Well, there's always a next year."
"Yes but—!" Reaver hissed, turning away as they folded their arms and clenched their hands. "The average pilot's career is only three years! Some don't even make it past their first! What if something happens between this season and the next? And I just— stole it from you! From all of humanity—!"
Frija didn't reply immediately, only shifting her feet as she sighed. She was still staring at the end of the hall when Reaver finally had the courage to face her again. "Our team— we're not here just for humankind, we're here for Earth, and that includes individuals who aren't human, like you. So whether you or I win, it doesn't matter, let's just win this in the name of our home."
Two adventurers prepare for an typical mission, unaware that it's about to becoming something more than ordinary.
A gift to my partner for the holidays, featuring characters for a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fanfic of his. On the left is Tremi the treecko, and right is Sethia the sandshrew.
Quick experimental piece I did a little bit ago, I don't usually go for a pure lineless style but man is it fun.
There's really not much else I can say since the whole scene around this piece is spoilers for Deadline. I can't wait to get to this part but it's basically the climax so I really gotta wait a bit, rip. The lighting was fun to do though and it's fun to see all the details come together as i rendered.
Ignore me forgetting to post stuff here for a bajillion years.
The idea for this drawing came into my mind after listening to Precipice by Aaron Cherof, the song emanates vibes I can't explain. I actually sketched this when the song had originally been released but then forgot about it for a while, and finally revisited it over a year later. It was fun seeing the improvement from the half-finished sketch still sitting there.
The funny part is Caelus's design on the right is immediately outdated. I finished their new ref for Artfight before I finished the shading on this, in which updating Caelus here would've been silly. Sometimes you gotta just roll with it.
I've been slowly building up a bit of backlog in art so I might as well post some.
Meet Melphi! More information below the cut for the curious because I will make it long.
Melphi here is a character specifically made for my partner's Nature of Predators fanfic, A World Alluded. She was made as a targeted attack to be friends with one of the POV characters because he needs a friend >:((
To quickly summarize her character; she's a singer and artist who loves using her talents to tell stories. She was in a relationship with her childhood friend, though as adults they had a tumultuous breakup. After the breakup, Melphi found it hard to further pursue her singing career. Feeling lost with no where to go, she joined the Venlil military so she could feel like she was of some use to someone, and to leave behind her life that reminded her of her ex-lover with every step she took.
One of the biggest parts about her is her halo, otherwise known as a 'nostalgia halo.' There's a lot of lore and mechanics behind them, but they tend to form at a young age connected to a pleasant nostalgic memory. These halos then grant powers based on those memories. For Melphi, the memory of her halo was based around her ex-partner, where they danced together and swirled around like the arms of a galaxy. She avoids activating her halo as much as possible to keep away those memories. Though when it is active, her powers are unstable, unpredictable, and as turbulent as her emotions of having to relive a bittersweet memory.
I've been meaning to take one of my many Minecraft screenshots and redraw them for the heck of it. Recently I was feeling nostalgic, so I finally got around to drawing one I took back in 2022. It was nice to be able to draw without needing to think too hard about the idea when it's already set in place.
Anyways for those curious, the two dragons featured are Hoarfrost (large silver) and Notus (small dark blue). The original world was a server now long lost to time but they live on in my heart. In that same server I spent a (guestimated) total of 680+ hours playing on it, and out of all those, I only have like 110 hours worth in the world downloads given out. It sucks but oh well.
I do have a singleplayer world but sadly I haven't had much time to play it recently.
Was struck by sudden inspiration and the urge to throw more art at my friend before the year ended, ft. the two sillies we use for our profile pictures. I'm really happy with how to galaxy turned out, I really should draw space more.
Some character designs inspired by a dream I had a few nights ago. Plot points of said dream are below the cut if anyone's curious. It's nice to get the cool ones with cool plot ideas. Brain, give me more please.
The red wyvern on the left is named Arcshard, and the green feathery dragon on the right is named Shardheart. They're childhood best friends and their shared names are meant to symbolize their strong bond with one another. Their names also directly came from the dream, which is a rarity for me. Usually I don't remember or they were never given one haha.
As for the original dream itself (taking out all the weird dream nonsense that doesn't matter); in a town there was some ceremony going on, and Arcshard ends up attending in order to prevent a ploy she heard about. There was this Head Mage dude (also Shardheart's father) and apparently his apprentice- who was one of the main participants of the ceremony- planned on assassinating him at said event. Right before he has the chance, Arcshard attacks him and kills him in some means of self defense. No one else realized what was going on and so it was assumed the Apprentice was innocent and Arcshard a murderer. Arc then had to flee and live in exile, now being hunted down as a heavily wanted criminal.
While Arc was in exile, Shardheart was heartbroken by all that went on. Her father/the Head Mage was now left in a terrible position, as he was to retire soon and had been notoriously picky about who he wanted as an apprentice. And apprentices take years to train, which he may not have. Eventually, Shard runs away to live in the wilds just like Arc. The two cross paths when Arc stumbles upon Shard's cave, and within it, an egg that was of Shard's lineage, but with unknown origin of the second parent. The two are able to reunite, with Arc telling Shard about what truly went on, who takes the information quite well as she had known there had to be something going on.
Then after that my dream fizzled out into nonsense/I woke up, one of the two. I'm probably going to make fully-fledged OCs out of these two- kind of hard not to when my brain just shoved them into my hands.
With another Christmas, there is another yearly opportunity to attack my friend with a gift in the form of art of their characters. While not as 'grand' as previous pieces I've done with whole landscapes, I think it still ranks up there.
If anyone's curious, the character is named Distortion. I would give a general overview but I'm not even trying it would be too long, trust me.
I haven't had the energy to draw in ages until now when I suddenly wanted to try and mess around with character designs, using their personalities to influence their overall looks inspired by animals that give off the same vibes as them.
To cut character summaries brief with little explanation to what animal I took inspirations from; Mauria; swan, Caelus; wolf, Yvaine; owl, and Squall; cat.
I also simplified their designs down from smaller details that cluttered them a bit. Like Mauria used to have an underbelly colors and Caelus had another darker purple color that I just took out for less colors to deal with. Mauria and Squall used to have another set of ears and arms but I decided it was too much effort to draw their species with that much going on. It makes them less 'alien' and more dragony but eh. I used to use Mauria and Caelus in an alien rp group that I've since lost interest in, so I'm just letting them be as dragony as I want them because it's fun.
I was also gonna do full body doodles but I forgot that art takes a lot longer to do than I thought, bleh.
I finally got my hands on an actual animating app instead of using programs not designed for animating. So here's a little thing as a bit of refresher for me and frame-by-frame stuff.
Thinking about another one of the worlds of mine and how I would potentially want to pick it up again in some mix of written story-comic format. Assuming I have the time and motivation anytime soon.
In the meantime, I doodled some character designs. I recently went back and revamped the way dragon classification and species worked in the world, which gives me a lot more freedom with designs. Basically anything is a dragon as long as it has wings. Species? Everyone's a hybrid at this point.
A more recent experimental drawing I did earlier this month. Ft. two ocs who I've been obsessed with recently in another one of my worlds/stories. There's so much lore that I could ramble about, but I still gotta iron stuff out so my lips stay zipped for now.
Been thinking about posting some of my art on here, so here's something I did a few months ago to get started.
Just two lovers flying in the sunset :), they both mainly exist in a story I've called 'Existence is a Beautiful Thing', or EIABT for short, hence the tag of jumbled letters. One of the planets included has a set of rings, which I really wanna draw more of because it's cool.
