Can gay trans men be dykes?

Or is dyke a lesbian-only term, is what I meant to ask

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Cis queers specifically often view slurs like "fag" and "dyke" to be anti-gay/lesbian but not inherently anti-trans. Trans women being called fags is "misdirected homophobia"; trans men getting called dykes is "misdirected lesbophobia."

Trans men are not called "dykes" on accident. Anti-queer hatred is not organized around modern queer identities. "Dyke" is an insult directed at someone that society demands heterosexual womanhood from, who rejects or fails that demand.

Transphobia is not a completely distinct from other forms of queerphobia. As much as people are loathe to admit it, for centuries trans men and gay women and bisexual women and asexual & aromantic women and nonbinary people have been part of the same communities and have been collectively called slurs like "dykes" for their deviances from the norm.

This is tied to a larger problem with our community obsessing over who can use what anti-queer slurs out of a desire of white queers to imitate Black people's relationship to the n word. But this is not that.

here's the thing. I don't think that men and women can't be friends. I do think, however, that some men can't be friends with women. bc they are misogynists and don't see women as people. so if you as a man say men and women can't be friends I think you're telling on yourself

wrong! thanks for playing. but it looks like in your attempt to retaliate against an imagined man for their participation in patriarchy, you accidentally reinforced the idea that men are inherently different to women in an extreme and unreconcilable way, which only helps misogyny thrive. try remembering that other people are as real as you. perceiving men as objects is a funny joke but ultimately has no place in a discussion about heteronormative & misogynistic interactions. try again later!

“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.

Not really religious, but here's my favorite representation of Jesus in media:

This is from the movie 'O Auto da Compadecida', 2000, based off a few books by Brazilian author Ariano Suassuna, including one by the same name of the movie.

It's a very Brazillian story, and I think the name of it in English is 'A Dog's Will'? I don't really know.

Either way, very worth the watch, as well as the book is worth the read. One of the very rare occasions that I agree with the online reviews.

*This* is who I choose to imagine as Jesus. He just feels right. Real. Human, as much as he can be. And I know it can be just a preference (or not, I don't keep up with the religious discourse over Jesus's image) but to me, this is the best representation of who he is.

Also, look at the absolute icon that was the Devil in that movie. Absolutely marvelous.
