It’s been 7 years today, Princess.

I wore my Moons for you today and next it’ll be Pirates.

I miss you more than ever. All the time.

The world is harsher (you’d be so righteously angry about it).... but still beautiful... and I try to keep my head above water by not letting go of... what it means to choose justice. Honesty. Acceptance. Friendship. Crew. Loyalty. Compassion.

Hope in the endless mire of what too often feels like End Times.

I feel like it’s harder and harder to actually talk to people these days, and I’d rather put this here, for me, for us... than somewhere more public. I’m not looking for attention or likes or anyone else’s validation.

I only want to remind myself that I’ve got to keep doing my very best (despite the past, my insecurities, the hard parts, the hurts...) so that I can help as many people as possible... so that I can tell you all about it when I get there...

...and because you believed in me enough to call me Captain.
